I’ve been fascinated by Macau for a little while and now I really want to check it out, especially the Londoner! Great video, thanks for sharing! I hope HK is treating you both well!
As a brit living in Macau I'm glad you had a great time. Personally I've fallen in love with this crazy city. I hope next time when you come back to Macau you explore Coloane and more of the history of Macau. The Cotai strip is great but there is so much more to Macau than gambling.
What can I say, another masterpiece. Your videos keep getting better and better. Plus it's nice to see Nichole in videos with you. It seems like married life is treating you well. Once again I love your sense of wonder and your recognition of the privilege that you have of bringing these experiences to us. By the way, I thought that your British Canal video with Nichole was also a masterpiece. Your sound design and the music that you picked for it were brilliant. It made me tear up a few times. Thanks Mike for all that you do. You're one of my favorite creators and, I believe, the only one who I feel like leaving comments on.
And I like how you kept your most intimate moments out of the video. Even though you're making a video for the public it's good for you to have your privacy as well.
This is amazeballs I'm glad you two got to share it together. It's good to treat yourself from time to time. Get yourself a few suits for these experiences.
Definitely awesome looking places. You two definitely deserve it with you working hard to make these videos and Nicole for working her job and supporting you. Every time you get the opportunity to pamper yourselves, take it.
13:27 that’s not actually a Beefeater. That’s a Kings Guard. The Beefeaters (or Yeomen) are different and you’ll find them at the Tower Of London, rather than Buckingham Palace. 😊
@@DavidBennettPiano Was the king Henry VIII? And I don't mean the bloke who married the widow next door who'd been married 7 times before, every one was an Henry...
It was so nice to see that little envelope on the table in that LONDON-themed hotel that said “Mr and Mrs Michael Downie”! Once again, congratulations and good fortune to you both!
32:47 There was a reason behind "1976'. After the dictatorship in Portugal being overthrown in 1974, the new government decided to give up all overseas possessions, and in 1976 military presence in Macau (Portuguese) or Macao (English) was removed as a friendly gesture essentially asking China to take back the city at any time. However, Beijing's priority then was to take back Hong Kong in 1997 so Macao's handover was put off until 1999.
It's been awesome seeing all of Mike's incredible travel adventures on TH-cam over the many years and its beyond awesome to see Mike and Nicole receiving the well deserved and well earned red carpet treatment at this destination! What's even more awesome is, instead of traveling to many different countries to enjoy the various landmarks, sites and places each country has to offer, Mike and Nicole can literally see and visit them all in one place! which is pretty cool! Thanks for sharing this latest experience Mike and continued happy travels to both you and Nicole!

I absolutely love your channel but I’ve also realized why my favorite episodes are with you and your parents and sister or other friends. There’s an element to this video that is just off putting - but the content as a whole is fabulous.
Hi Mr Downey. We love your shows. The hotel is beautiful ! How much was it. Tysm for letting us go on all your journeys. My wife and i love you. Can't wait till we see you the next time
Wow that was amazing virtual tour, as I will never be able to go there in person thank you for taking me along it was the best tour yet...enjoy, travel safe and looking forward to the next tour
Truly shocked about how nice both hotels were. They were a great combination of cheesy but also great attention to detail. You need to vist that whole city in China where they recreate Paris.
This was a really fun surprise. The suite at the Londoner was far from the usual roadside motel rooms i've seen on Downey Live. When you turned down the two Michelin Star restaurant (and Nicole seemed disappointed) I thought maybe there was a Macao Tim Horton's nearby. I'm impressed by all the effort they put into these hotels.
Thanks you so much for this new remarkable video that was released last week in Macau, China to shows those remarkable places on the streets in great joy & peace November of 2024❤❤❤I really LOVE watching this amazing video from Macau, China with great Landmarks etc. in 2024❤❤❤
oh and BTW since your reading my comments. this, your channel, has to be my absolute favorite travel channel and videos. i feel like your very relatable. i feel like some others just dont live a lifestyle anything like what i do and approach their experiences from a completely different aspect.
Fun video, mainly cause I just love watching you and Nicole interact together and your wicked sense of humour. More Nicole! And I must commend you both but especially Nicole in her French pronunciation…spot on. Although I could admire the workmanship that went into recreating those attractions, it’s not for me. It is very reminiscent of Vegas. I don’t see the point. The luxury and novelty is ok but why not explore areas where you can learn about local history, sample food and meet local people. And pamper yourself in a beautiful hotel that isn’t masquerading as something else. Love your videos. For some reason, they haven’t come up in my feed for a bit so going to go check and see if I’ve missed some. 🇨🇦
Wow! I have to say, thank you for showing us what it's like so we don't have to go there 😅 The biggest disconnect I've seen since staying in a German holiday village in the desert on Fuerteventura in the Canaries... (It was a bit of a surprise last-minute package deal a long time ago!) I literally breathed a sigh of relief when you when outside of the European hotels and showed us a bit of the actual city! But the luxury and the food looked good!
Last time I was in Macau, the Londoner was just Sands Cotai Central. They did more to transform it than I realized. The level of service in Macau is amazing. I would be interested in know what those suites cost. I imagine considering the level of service and amenities it is cheaper than most people would think.
Thanks you guys for this amazing video from Macau, China to shows those remarkable places on the streets in Asia November of 2024❤❤❤I wish you guys the Best in peace 2024❤❤❤

i still remember going to macao when i was small back when i was still in hong kong. fun fact, macao was portugese so most of their street is portugese
You may ask your friends in Hong Kong if they have official English tourism pamphlets about the neighbouring city printed before 1999. There is always an introductory sentence that reads "Macau is a Chinese territory under Portuguese administration". (The "Macau to Macao" spelling change in English is due to the two cities' respective sovereignty change.)
Love this style of content dude! You and your wife have such great chemistry I was smiling the whole time!! And - just as an fyi, I laughed at your jokes lol
The mock Venice canal is pretty wild to see 😂 It appears to be a brick-for-brick carbon copy of The Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. Same creepy sky ceiling, fake building fascias, and matching layout. I wonder if the Venetian sold them the architectural plans? Or if it was just “inspiration”!
Its great to visit, but I felt like staying the old quarter was nicer, feeling crowds of disgruntled gamblers in the flashy side was to much plus when I went there were lines to do basically anything, but the old quarter still had Portuguese decendants working in hospitality throughout the city which gave a good glimpse in what it used to be like there.
Ok wait, I was not prepared for how nice the London hotel is. Genuinely shocked on how much you get your value there
