Dude, I watched this for the animations that you did, but I am so freaking happy that you included some of the commercials in it, hahahaha! I don't know why, but they reminded me of the commercials in "Tokyo Gore Police", hahahaha! Japanese commercials are the best!
oh well thank you =D Loved that you enjoyed it. Next review I got planned is Nausicaa, though that'll probably be next year with all the stuff I create 😄until then it'll probably be animations on here and working on the next issue of my comic on DeviantArt.
This was one hell of a hot take and, while I might not agree with everything you said, I respect it. 1. You're not the only one I've seen wonder if Goku and Bulma might've worked better as a couple, but I'm for it in any possible reboots/alternate timelines. 2. Dr Gero actually became one of my favorite villains after we learned more about his backstory. More specifically that #16 and #21 were based on his son and wife respectively. 3. While I like the Saiyan and Namek Sagas, I do agree that's where the power scale broke, for better or worse. 4. I wouldn't mind seeing your take on a Dragon Ball reboot, or at least the Online/Xenoverse era.
You actually aren't the first I've heard that'd wanna hear what I'd do things like. I'm glad that the review wasn't too aggravating or anything though =) was a bit worried ya might be disappointed with what all it said throughout it after the comment you left about being excited for it the other night 😅
I believe Toriyama's editors were pressuring him to make Bulma and Goku a couple. Toriyama didn't like the idea and brought back Chi Chi to marry Goku and put it to rest.
You make really great points here. I’ve always loved the original dragon ball much more than the DbZ tv series. I’m from the border and we had these shows years earlier than the general US market thanks to Mexican TV…..the series is very popular in Mexico…..the drop in creativity and wonder between the two shows/comics was drastic. I sort of think the DBZ, fight of the decade, money machine took over pretty hard. The writing got a lot easier to do. The episodes easier to make, and yet, bafflingly, more popular and lucrative than ever. Great video dude 😎
lol, they were some pretty "out there" parents with some of the stuff they had (I illustrate both of them at the beginning of my Earthworm Jim review: th-cam.com/video/o_809sjSjLQ/w-d-xo.html )XD definitely not normal ones. They also had lots of Japanese Astro Boys and some Nausicaa and Akira and stuff when it came to comics. And yeah, the series definitely fell into a "formula" as it went on leading to how things get later in the series. Glad you enjoyed the video though =)
I have the Kanzenban edition. Where can one find the Shueisha digest edition and would you recommend the upgrade? Btw, I completely agree about the new Kanzenban ending.
The only way I've been able to find the Soshuhen is when I've searched on Ebay. The thing that makes it harder to track down (aside from being a less common release) is that people label it as different things. Usually people will call it the anniversary/30th anniversary edition or omnibus or something (which if they do that makes it so you have to double check if it's actually the Soshuhen since people call all sorts of releases an "Omnibus"). Searching Digest will sometimes get it, but even then I'd recommend searching Omnibus, Soshuhen, or Anniversary as well just to be safe if you're wanting to do a thorough search. They're also more expensive than the other releases (usually 40-60 bucks depending on the popularity of the Saga each volume covers). If you have the money to spare though (and are fine with the Japanese words) I'd certainly recommend getting them since it has the art at the biggest size you can get it and all the cool little adverts and stuff that emulate the original Shonen Jump release. Otherwise I'd stick to the Kanzenban since the Kanzenban has all the stuff that the Soshuhen does when it comes to the actual Dragon Ball material (all the colored pages) only at a smaller hand-holding size (though bigger than the Tankobons) and has better quality paper than the Soshuhen does (aside from the Soshuhen's full-color pages paper quality). And obviously doesn't have all the little trinkets like adverts and posters and stuff to make it feel like a Shonen Jump magazine like the Soshuhen does, but that's just bonus material.
@@edward18517 recently got the Dragon Ball Legend Soshuhen and interestingly it uses the new ending, but omits the last panel where Vegeta proclaims to surpass Kakarot. Kind of makes it perfect.
Trust me, Level Sets have the best picture quality of all the HD releases. It doesn't crop or Strech the footage, it doesn't have aggressive DNR saturation and retains most of the detail, except for the details in the really darker areas. Next to dragonbox, Level Sets are the only DBZ release i can honestly call somewhat "Good". The Z Blu Rays on the stores are cheap but also the picture quality is unwatchably ugly on HD TVs.
@YouzerseifYoucef lol well I'm surprised you took the time to even look it up. That alone is appreciated enough to me ^_^ regardless of if you agree with the things I say I do hope you enjoy whatever you see of the video if you end up looking through parts of it.
Well dang, this was a pretty thorough review ^^ Personally, I was introduced to Dragon Ball through Z, but I enjoyed the original Dragon Ball Saga a lot more - I own all 5 volumes of the VizBigs, and treasure them well Most of this I agree with, while I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie and love the explosive fights of Z, there was a lack of fun and adventure that was abundant in the OG run. Also yeah, Frieza's a bit of a bitch, I prefer King Piccolo and his absolute dominant attitude XD Honestly, I never thought too much about Yamcha's place in the DB Universe, but I think I have underestimated how much he and Bulma were joined at the hip. I do still love Trunks, but it would be cool to see what kind of kid Bulma and Yamcha could have had~ Hopefully, we can get the Dragon Balls and wish to have your head reattached, but until then, this was a great video! Can't wait for the next~!
Hey, Edward. Don’t mind the DB fans. It’s ok to like or dislike something from things you love. Fans have their own preferences on how they like Dragon Ball, and you’re like the rest of them. Good review, man!
Well, more or less, gotta get them crystal balls!

cool you can have your own opinions and that's cool great vid underrated and needs more attention
What did your parents do that they had a complete set of Japanese only manga?! Amazing 😂
