Looking at a 2021 model on sale in my area. In addition to testing the various models of Serial 1 (and thank you Trev Deeley for allowing me the chance to go the distance and push the bikes a bit more than some dealers), I have ridden the R&M Nevo with the Enviolo AUTOMATiQ and it really spoils you when it is set up how you like it.

I can’t seem to get a definitive answer to if a 2021 serial 1 will connect to the app or not. Anyone know for certain if the will? Factory cadence is not good for me

A 2021 will not connect to the Serial 1 App, it is not set up for it. But a 2021 Rush CTY should connect to the Enviolo App, which is separate from the Serial 1 app. I bought a 2022 Mosh. @@kenphilipp9272

Tyler, you left out some significant things, like:
#1) App asking for App updates at start up = critical.
1a. FIRMWARE UPDATES may be involved too!
#2) CALIBRATION - OMG! THE APP will prompt user to calibrate after all these updates.
2a. The Brose controller needs to be "on" during re calibration but no power assist selected during this process. After which the App will prompt the user if they want to re calibrate. If selected you have to ride the bike with the hub on and the controller on but set to no power assistance.
#3) Last but no least there is that pesky (reset "factory settings") selection.

Will there be another app for the vehicle Mosh/CTY?

As they say, never buy version 1. It is so true with serial 1. Not only that it was over priced to cash on brand name (but it was set up as separate entity), it was released half backed with complete disregards to already available features and hardware functionality of Brose display (which has Bluetooth and enviolo automatic (which has Bluetooth and many other features). None were actually connecting with smartphone and even with their own app “serial 1”. So what was serial 1 app, pretending to import google map, which itself is an app, and emailing to support? Why would the bike won’t sync with smartphone or company’s own app and not even with each other? How is it possible that such a big brand won’t do it which startups did. As of today, company is sold off, serial 1 app disappeared from smartphone, warranty Is over and you are on your own.
Folks, If you have 3K to spare, budget to add 3K extra and go for entry level or used (that American corporate fashionably calls “Pre-owned) Reise and Muller. Or better buy non electric bike with Rholoff or Pinion hub, you may get one or DIY with Shocks.

This only applies to the RUSH/CTY models that feature the enviolo AUTOMATiQ hub.

There should be a walkthrough for the Serial1 app setup. I can't connect to my brand new RCS and there's no help anywhere.

We're working on it! In the meantime you can view instructions here: support.serial1.com/hc/en-us/categories/7384726562580-Serial-1-Mobile-App

@@Serial1 turns out I have a 2021 model. Not happy there isn’t any indication on the sales floor of the year especially when such a major software difference exists. I didn’t know til I couldn’t connect my phone. Both HD and Serial1 are to blame. I would not have bought this bike for the same price had I known.

Just downloaded the newest Version of the App.
There is nothing i can do, beside from calibration. No settings at all.
Is that my fault or have they removed the features with the newer versions of the app?

Thank you for this great video! I have been reading somewhere that to set the enviolo app and connect to the bike, that you need to turn the bike wheel first....Is this correct? what is the best approach.......?

    • @Serial1
      @Serial1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You will need to turn the bike on and make sure the hub is in pairing mode by holding the button on the hub for five seconds until it begins to blink blue. Then select your bike within the app to pair. Once your hub is connected to the enviolo app, you'll be good to go to make adjustments.
