This is the best explanation ever. Thank you
Great, thank you. Glad it was helpful
SERIOUSLY JUST TOOK A CONCRETE AND ESTIMATE COURSE AND I WAS LOST THIS HELP SO MUCH
@@SkateboarderOnTheInternet great to hear
Thanks, I didn't get it at once, so I went through the Video twice, and got a much better understanding. I appreciate your time and efforts to educate on this subject: cheers
Thank you
You are freaking awesome thank you for taking the time to teach this, it was much needed
Thank you so much man seriously wish u the best outcomes in life great teacher !
Thank you
That helped a lot. I have trouble with the odd numbered measurements. Like if the depth is 7" or 14" something like that.
Glad it helped
I really like this video! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you
Thank you for teach cubic yard
Thank you for supporting the channel
Learn alot, GOD bless you
Glad to hear it, thank you
Where is the 3ft coming from, I’m lost
There are 3 feet in a yard
is it possible to mix/pour/order different grades of concrete if i need to pour a separate border/foundation around the whole perimeter, then the whole floor inside it, and some part of the inner floor even has to be thicker and higher grade than the rest of the floor in there? aka some parts need to take bigger loads later etc... and the outer perimeter probably gets some walls on top of it later etc...
I would think you can do multiple pours, if it is under different loads, should be engineered
We poured concrete today to the lowest point in an irregular round pool. We were short by a lot. How would one calculate the yards for concrete to be poured in this case? My guess is that we would get the longest point for width, length, & depth right?
That sounds like a good way to do it.
Thanks it really helped me ❤
Glad it helped
Great Video thanks
Thank you
Thank you very much
Glad it helped
Awesome vid, how would one calc a footing for a retaining wall where we are talking inches mainly? For example a 20ft long wall 18in wide(toe and heel) and 12in deep??
All units have to be the same, I would convert the inches into feet. So 18 inches is 18/12 of a foot or 1.5 feet.
I was going to ask the same thing actually. Haha I’m looking to get the yards for a footing that had inches mainly. So thank you.
Thank you! I was thinking everything had to be converted into ft. You know sometimes I doubt myself and I really shouldn’t 😅
@@anthonyramirez1757 glad it helped
Chang 18 inch to ft
Im pouring a 10’x4’x3.5” slab. How many 50lb bags quickcrete do I need ? Or how many yards I need to order.TIA
It is about 12 cubic feet, yards would be 12/27
@@ColfaxMath thank you sir
Thank you
Thank you
This is a great video
Thank you
Wait, are the 6' thick footing the woodboards?
6 inch
How do I estimate how many cubic yards of concrete I need for a swimming pool? I understand how to convert square feet to cubic yards but I am confused with the math behind the construction of a swimming pool. If someone could provide me with the formula. That would help me a lot.
Another way I ask my question is as follows. For example, a pool is 45 feet in length, 15 feet in width and the concrete is 0.6 inches in depth. The pool’s shallow end is 4 feet, and the deep end gradually declines to 12 feet deep. (Ignore the steps and possible ledges in the pool, i got that figured out).
Thank you to anyone that responds.
I'm not to sure how concrete for pools work.
What’s the thickness of the coat you spray on the wall?
How many yards of concrete do I need for an 8’x8’x8” slab?
8x8x(8/12) all divided by 27 gives you about 1.6 yards
@@ColfaxMath thank you so much !!
How do you calculate face stairs. 5 steps .. face is 7" 1/4 and 1ft step ... I know for 4" you divide by 80 and 6" is 50. How would I calculate those measurements
150' long by 80' wide by 35' high. What is it's square footage?
It would be cubic footage with three dimensions
Good lesson,so calculate concrete order per room which is in 6 metres
Ok
14 yards for driveway with a apron how many yards of concrete ...?? I appreciate u ...
Not sure of the question
Nice
Thank you
i was more after how to work out sand gravel concrete from the mass
I wanted to learn how to throw a great birthday for a toddler. So we’re both disappointed. ☹️
I'll try to get around to making one on that
