@plumberparts I wanted to ask you about your Amazon shop. Are all the tools you need for a plumber on your Amazon shop to purchase? Or is it only partly what you need?
Bang on. Any other make aside from Bahco are 2nd. rate. Snap on, Facom, whatever, they are rubbish. I have 36 inch and downward, They will always keep their setting whereas others need constant re-adjusting. Knipex is the brand for grips and snips.
I bought a set of adjustable baco’s I thought no they were on your Amazon store. There good but to be honest I only use them for doing up glads on steel wired armour cable.... they do the job for me. See you tonight on the ale army
Bahco is my go to and main set, although I got the ox wide jaws last year, great for pumps and LLH work - didn’t have high expectations, but I wouldn’t be without them now!
Knipex Cobra pump pliers and Bahco 90 series Ergo adjustable slim but wide has been my combination for rad valves and compression fittings - never let me down. Just gone crazy though and purchased a Bahco 87 off Amazon 😂 Not necessarily because I needed it but wanted it! Genuine Bahco but they're made in China.
@@plumberparts All the Insa pipe polishers seem to love them................. I got a pair and I am not a massive fan TBH, very bulky jaw/head makes them awkward in tight spots (inside boilers etc) Had I seen them in the flesh before buying, I probably would not have bought them, Knipex quality can't be knocked though. :-)
I know you probably already bought something. But I’d get the Bahco 9031 or Irega SWO 8”/Channellock wide azz 8”. All 8” spanners with a 40mm range. Industry standard for most service techs and installers.
Hi mate, have been following your videos for a while and find your tips invaluable, I've just fitted a mixer tap and waste pipe but have come unstuck, I'm left with a slight drip from the waste pipe and this is after using plumbers mait under the top lip and PTFE on the thread underneath, I suspect it's due to not being able to tighten the back nut enough, the problem is that I don't have enough space to get in there and do the nut up with an adjustable wrench, I'm currently looking for a box spanner big enough, but a bit stuck at the moment, appreciate any help you can offer 👍
A totaly un related question now.... but what camera do you use! As it has a great picture, and good audio, no matter where you are filming. PS. I am not a plumber, but a keen diy'er and like watching your vid's.
Or get yourself Knipex Plier Wrench. Grip securely on fixtures, one handed operation, make all adjustables look like the bodger's choice. The only downside is everyone will try and steal them.
The Knipex Slide Pliers are top notch, the 180s are great on unions in tight spaces. I think Bahco are owned by the Snap On brand, or SNA Europe, hence the quality. My Facom adjustable spanners have served me well, not too snobbish about AyJays.
Before Bahco was owned by snap-on their adjustables were made in Sweden. They’re made in Spain now. Still good but the Swedish ones were a cut above them.
Love a bit of tool porn Jimmy, recently found an old block plane under a floor board and the customer let me take her home and didn't even try to deduct the cost from the price of the job......Result! Always pays to be honest!!! Ps. the block plane is rubbish at cutting tube but looks great in the van
I’ve fkn heard it all...a right way to use an adjustable....? half the hassle is getting the thing on....let alone a right way...😂and you have time worry about where the fixed jaw is... 🧐🙄 to be fair fkn mole grips are the best tool 😂. Look forward to that video ...for some pearls of wisdom...😂🙄🧐✅ 🇫🇴🇫🇴🇫🇴🇫🇴🇫🇴🇫🇴🇫🇴🇫🇴🇫🇴🇫🇴🇫🇴🇫🇴🇫🇴🇫🇴

Been using Bacho shifters over 30 years. Cracking adjustables.
Didn’t know that about the nuts! Cheers for that. I do love a picture of a beaver 🦫

Yeah, I'm going to check out knipex...might divvy out my old tools to some apprentices....
I bought a set of adjustable baco’s I thought no they were on your Amazon store. There good but to be honest I only use them for doing up glads on steel wired armour cable.... they do the job for me.

I’m a plumber in Cambridge and live in Girton, literally round the corner from the College 😂 small world
I collect vintage and old tools as a hobby and have a full set of Bahco adjustable wenches - superb quality tools. Great videos always interesting.
What's that little orange thing at the top of the wrench? It's exactly 15mm on my bahco.. Is it an emergency plug for 15mm pipes? I'm really intrigued
I hate adjustable spanner’s with a passion! Give me a set of grips any day of the week! I have a set of Knipex 180mm smooth jaw cobra grips.
Bahco adjustable and rothenberger grips are my go to
I've stopped using my adjustable spanners. I'm using knipex pliers wrench now. They are a game changer.
I looked it up, they look great, cheers for the tip
Have a look at Wera’s adjustable joker range. I love my Knipex plier wrenches but these thing are the next level IMO.
I have a 10”, multiple 7” and a 5”
I still prefer my bahco’s but they definitely have their place.
Hi greetings from Bulgaria. What is your opinion adjustable spanner or knipex pliers wrench for plumbing. Thanks
I’ve fully converted to Knipex Pilar wrenches now
Going to check them out...

Me too! Never going back.
the problem is how will James get his workout in when his veto bag loses more than half his weight by going to knipex
Knipex are quality tools the snap on of pliers 👍
If you could only afford one adjustable spanner for your household tool box, which one would you buy? thanks
I know you probably already bought something. But I’d get the Bahco 9031 or Irega SWO 8”/Channellock wide azz 8”.
All 8” spanners with a 40mm range.

Bahco for me but do seem to use knipex pliers wrench more and more

I have used my Bahcos since i was 17 now 59 and there still going strong
@@trollmeister69 Yes Great quality
Where is the link on amazon store to the one you found in the boiler?
Just here mate.... amzn.to/3kLmRyt
Have you tried Knipex stuff?
Nice vid mate ! Thanks a lot
mate you are so lucky you can still sit with your legs crossed .. im so old lol
The small set of grips are Mongooses from Monument.
good stuff James.
i do like bacho adjustable however i have got a stanley one wich is just as good
Hi please can you help me. I am doing my first soldering job what is the proper solder for copper pipe with Water.
_Lead free,_ when used on potable water, with appropriate flux. Even sold in places like B&Q.
@@johnburns4017 thank you for your help p.s. keep going with the vids very help full .
I found a zip tie gun in some overhead tray ,worth about £130 no owner found!
The difference between my Bacho adjustable spanner any my cheapo Stanley spanner is like night and day. Bacho is so much more quality.
I have 3 bahco and find them ok but all adjustables are shite but fittings are never the exact same size so you need them...
Or get yourself Knipex Plier Wrench. Grip securely on fixtures, one handed operation, make all adjustables look like the bodger's choice.
The only downside is everyone will try and steal them.
When I lose these babies I'll grab some!
Definitely, best of all choices: water pump pliers, a shifting spanner and a grip like moles.
That extra 10mm is what makes the ladies smile,Giggity.
You didn’t do a bicep curl

Bahcos are rubbish - overpriced swedish/spanish junk!. I have Crescent and Craftsman ( both adjustable wrench have miles better grip than Bahcos)!
