Just starting my plumbing journey at 62 years old. This would be a great addition to my new tool bag. Give us old newbies a head start. Starting a plumbing course soon just to help me and the family with their homes.
OX do make a great pipe cutter. I have used their ratchet one before and it is a real game changer when the space is tight. Build quality is spot on. I would be happy with a Ox Polyzip Flex pipe cutter is my toolbox.
Talk about perfect timing, I'm currently fitting out my new canal boat and have been looking for a suitable pipe cutter and was not sure which product would be best, I have a Prowarm underfloor heating being put down, an Impey wet room going in (all inspired by following your channel James) and plastic water pipe feed throught out the boat, this Ox Polyzip would be a god send or a James send in this case, either way love your videos and thankyou for making plumbing doable for us amatures.
As a new self employed plumber, the first bits of kit I bought were by Ox. The ratchet cutters are my favourite thing ever and don’t put a little dent in the pipe like other cutters. I’m sure these plastic cutters will be just as good and I can’t wait to add them to my kit 💪🏻
Yes please ! This would be so handy !especially when I’m on caravans and come across a mixture of solvent and push fit pipe, plus one slice in the bag to cut space , love it !
These cutters are just what I have been looking for, I have been looking to get some cutters and I'm glad I waited for this, my bag is already over filled using a hack saw and shear type cutters to do the same job, I love how these cutters because they do 25mm mdpe and 50mm waste pipe that way even with other pipe slice cutters I would have brought, it doesnt mean I still need to hold on to the hacksaw and shears in my bag for those sizes
I’ve been looking for something like this! Can’t wait to get my hands on them. I’ve just had carpal tunnel surgery so need something to help me! I love the OX ratchet cutters you done a video on sometime back one of the best tools I’ve bought!
Great piece of kit James! I purchased the Ox copper ratchet cutters after your review some time back, and now this beauty! Just a good bit of wrist action and a loverly clean cut! I’d love one of these! Another great vid from the “Prince of pipe work “
I really hope this is a good product, there's a competitor version that's similar but after about a week of use it starts to track up the pipe, looks better built though! Would love to give it a try and well done ox again!
Hey James. Good video Looks like great tool. I did buy the Knipex BiX but couldn't get on with it because it would track the pipe so went back to my trusty Rothenberger snips. But always looking for alternatives, especially for those tight spaces. The BiX does allow the blade to be positioned closer to the outside edge of the cutter so you can cut exiting waste pipes flush with the wall: an enhancement for Ox perhaps? 👍🏻
very impressed with demo and product James. since Ridgeons started a big Ox display here in Norwich I have never been disappointed with Ox tools. currently use single sized cutters which are a pain so would love to have these in my toolbox👍
Great review of a great set of tools. Nice to see that is manufactured in the UK and that the obviously listened to plumbers when they went through the design process. Great to have them in the bag taking up very little room. I can't wait to use them.
It will be interesting to see these up against the knipex bix , as the bix does I believe 15-50 mm all in one , has a spare port for blades , only main difference is the bix you can move the blade closer to the edge of the plastic so it can cut closer to the wall, also I’ve just retrained as a plumber , so slowly getting my tools together so these would be a great advantage for me in my tool bag
just bought a polyzip 35 for £12 from City Plumbing and returned a rothenberger manual cutter to Wickes that was £18 that did nothing but crush ABS 32. If I had seen this video before I would have bought the C2. Ox make some great products. Plastic Pipe sizes are a bit mad. I was looking for a 32mm rotary cutter for 32mm pipe. Decided to actually measure it with a caliper. Definitely says 32mm on the label but outside diameter is 35ish. 32 is ID, just thought I'd share so you don't waste your time and think you're going mad like me.
Unreal piece of kit! Loving how one tool can cut so many sizes! My recent purchase of Knipex pipe cutters have really disappointed me as they don’t leave a nice cut every time and are harder to use then my rothenburger pipe cutters. Would be be amazing to win one of these bad boys! Great tool review James!
Wow just wow.. what a good product that! I am still cutting mine with a hacksAw and sometimes with the scissor type cutters, sick of squashing them pipes!! I really think I should win some of these cutters because i just love ox so much, and you know what! If I don’t win, I am still going to get some myself! 😂 liked and subscribed with bell notifications! Love your videos with your personality! Keep up with videos! :) 👍👍
Great tool, and great video. Been using a set of JG snips for a few years (small dia only) rotate them around the pipe as best you can. The Ox 🐂 has thought about it all, and love the spare blades avail (key to cutting, a sharp blade). Can you do a video on larger waste pipe sizes and how to do a.proper job. Thanks again.
I hope they are better then the standard ox cutters. They start off being amazing then they start to track! Be interesting to see the difference between these and the polyzips
Great! They've fixed a problem that already had a solution. Replace 1 tool with 2. Use non standard blades. And you're fishing for positive comments!! Great 👍 well done...
Looks great but I wish you’d of tried to push a fitting on the end of the waste pipes to see how easily it goes on, I’ve had many different cutters but they seem to leave a very slight ridge that you need to chamfer down in order to get a fitting on, not just push fit even solvent weld fittings are a struggle to push on and off if you want to do a dry fit first.
Brilliant bit of kit. As a competent DIYer I am planing to renovate my bathroom, this would be extremely useful. Especially as I can't cut a straight cut 😄.
They look awesome, would like to find out how long the blades last. But easy to change once needed. Would be a perfect addition to any plumbers/sparks toolkit.
I have a few ox tools, such as the ratchet copper pipe slice, and a plasterers Hawk, both are brilliant bits of kit. So I need one of these beauties in my life! Cheers for another great vid 🤘🤘
Another great product from ox. I’m slowly changing my tools over to ox tools. Their tape is a must have ( as shown on another plumberparts video ) and the pry bar also. These seem like another tool I couldn’t be without! A must have for any plumber.
Savage product, like you say made with the end user in mind.these would be a welcome addition to my diy bag.love the videos, keep em coming.thanks to your videos my diy plumbing holds tight!!!
Would love to win a pair of these on my nearly 3rd year into plumbing, would really come in handy on this holiday home job I'm installing 40+ water meters onto 25mm plastic mains pipe
Looks like a great bit of kit I need one as I have been using a hacksaw blade without a handle for the past 10 months as someone helped their self’s to mine and didn’t return it 😂
Seems Amazon only sell the C2 size now, can't find the C1 anywhere! =( Shame cause my Rothenberger pipe shears can't cut 15mm pipe without squashing the end into an oval!
I’m new to plumbing and I’ve been looking for a clean plastic pipe cutter for a long time. My “hack” saw cutting ability is about as good as a chocolate teapot.
Think you will need to change the blade very often as it will start tracking just like the Knippex Bix cutter does , about 10 cuts and its blunt , it can be turned end to end like a Stanley blade but a pack of 3 blades is about £ 6.... 👍
This would be perfect for the tool bag saves having the big hefty rothenberger pipe cutter. That gets dropped alot. The flexi looks like it will bounce back in my hand once dropped 🤣
Iam an apprentice iam with a one man band and he’s old school uses hacksaw for all plastic pipe or blunt pipe cutter which you have to roatate round the pipe so these would be really really handy
I wasted $ 54 on one yesterday and my conclusion is it's ok for thin walled pipe no good at all for 40/50 mm pipe will stick to my recip saw Score 5/10☹️
Looks like an amazing piece of kit. I have quite a lot of ox gear already (not all plumbing) but these do look there gonna make life a lot easier and faster

Have you seen the knipex version of these? I highly recommend a comparison
I’ve been looking for something like this! Can’t wait to get my hands on them. I’ve just had carpal tunnel surgery so need something to help me! I love the OX ratchet cutters you done a video on sometime back one of the best tools I’ve bought!
Very cool tool. I would like to have seen close shots of the cut against a square
Great piece of kit James! I purchased the Ox copper ratchet cutters after your review some time back, and now this beauty! Just a good bit of wrist action and a loverly clean cut! I’d love one of these! Another great vid from the “Prince of pipe work “
Looks like you can turn the blade around as well do get two uses out of one blade?
Fantastic product, finally a tool to cut all sizes of plastic pipe as easy as cutting copper
I really hope this is a good product, there's a competitor version that's similar but after about a week of use it starts to track up the pipe, looks better built though! Would love to give it a try and well done ox again!

the knipex starts tracking up the pipe after a while, I hope these dont!
@@killerbean9911 I see , thanks for that , I was close to buying one , but il wait and have a look at these ox ones
That's very quick and gives a great cut. Great for us DIY amateurs too! Could you also reverse the blade to use the other end?
just bought a polyzip 35 for £12 from City Plumbing and returned a rothenberger manual cutter to Wickes that was £18 that did nothing but crush ABS 32. If I had seen this video before I would have bought the C2. Ox make some great products.

Great video
What do you guys recommend for clean easy Pex A/B cutting?
Yes please, I’m still cutting by hacksaw and this would literally change an aspect of my job and make me a better plumber I think
Use a tenon saw instead. Your cuts will be squarer, straighter and you’ll get no swarf. For squarer straighter cuts use a wooden mitre box as well.
I am so itching to get my hands on these. I love tools that make life easier. I do a ton of DIY and I would love these in my tool box. Holt Tight!!!
Unreal piece of kit! Loving how one tool can cut so many sizes! Looks like the blade is reversible as well James?
Flip flop over for 2nd wear at new edge?
Hi, amazing, can it cut really small like 1/2cm of the pipe?
Yeah I'll be looking out for the c1 for cutting my conduit I think ox make fantastic strong fit for the job long lasting tools cheers James 👍

I love ox tools. I brought all the tiling stuff they make on the strength of your bathroom refit. I would love these cutters as well.👍👍
Almost a 12min advert for ox, good pay day there.
quick question for you, I hope you can help. I have been looking for a tool for splitting flexible silicone tubing. (past,

Very nice bit of kit. I can’t wait for the day something similar comes out for boiler flues!
What do you use to cut the flue down?
Brilliant bit of kit. As a competent DIYer I am planing to renovate my bathroom, this would be extremely useful. Especially as I can't cut a straight cut 😄.
They look awesome, would like to find out how long the blades last. But easy to change once needed. Would be a perfect addition to any plumbers/sparks toolkit.
What a brilliant flexible tool. Just starting my Camper Van build and it would make my task so much easier…
I would love one of these, just starting out on a house restoration after following all your videos. Also I have always held tight! Great channel.
I have a few ox tools, such as the ratchet copper pipe slice, and a plasterers Hawk, both are brilliant bits of kit. So I need one of these beauties in my life! Cheers for another great vid 🤘🤘

yeah I got the tape too. its brill
It’s another amazing Ox tool … on a par with the ox multi claw hammer that now in most tool bags after that was recommended by yourself…
These are awesome. Really want to get these but can’t find them for sale anywhere!!
Savage product, like you say made with the end user in mind.these would be a welcome addition to my diy bag.love the videos, keep em coming.thanks to your videos my diy plumbing holds tight!!!
Impressed! I’d love one of these! I’m off to line up every bit of plastic in the shed lol
Would loves these used a similar one by knipex and I've had 3 different ones definitely getting one of these!
looks great, I'm still on a hacksaw for waste. need these. top job
Would love to win a pair of these on my nearly 3rd year into plumbing, would really come in handy on this holiday home job I'm installing 40+ water meters onto 25mm plastic mains pipe
They look mega would love a set of them in my bag. Keep up the good work james
Looks like a great bit of kit I need one as I have been using a hacksaw blade without a handle for the past 10 months as someone helped their self’s to mine and didn’t return it 😂
Is there a large version of this tool?
Hi James love the tools but can't find the flex C1 and C2 can you point me 8n the great direction. Great channel
They’re out next week I think…
I love this pipe cutter, it would make my life much easier
Where can I get my hands on this in Ireland . Please help so much plastic pipe
Sooo could of used this on my last DIY job! Looks like a good investment 👌
As always great video James, I'm a king DIYer and would love to have something professional recommended by you in the toolbox...
That's one good tool!!! I'm a sparky and this would be so handy hate using a hacksaw 😂😂😂
I think i should have it because I’m a regular viewer and learned a lot from you through my apprenticeship. Also would be appreciated😂
Seems Amazon only sell the C2 size now, can't find the C1 anywhere! =(
Shame cause my Rothenberger pipe shears can't cut 15mm pipe without squashing the end into an oval!
I’m an apprentice and Would love to add this to my tool bag ⚒️
wish this could cut soft tube as well. It's so hard to cut a DMV scleral contact lens silicon inserter's base perfectly flat so it doesn't fall..
Will it cut the inner of a flue ?
I’m new to plumbing and I’ve been looking for a clean plastic pipe cutter for a long time. My “hack” saw cutting ability is about as good as a chocolate teapot.
I’d love one of these. Anything to lighten my tool bag
I can’t cut straight for toffee so this would be great to get a job done quickly without cause a flood
So why did they change the design to a non-flex? This one seems to be discontinued now. Was it just so they could sell multiple tools instead of one?
Nice bit of kit
Think you will need to change the blade very often as it will start tracking just like the
Knippex Bix cutter does , about 10 cuts and its blunt , it can be turned end to end like a Stanley blade but a pack of 3 blades is about £ 6....
👍
Need a cutter for my 3d printed project that uses 50mm pipe and this fits the bill! Dont need a C1 just a C2
Where's the soil pipe version? :P
Seems to it solves a problem that never existed, just my opinion . Hold tight
Not so good when the pipe is stationary and you rotate the tool though is it?
Great video! Currently doing a night course in plumbing and love your videos! Really helpful, Cheers mate
I miss my 40mm plasticut, gone to the loft gods forever
Yeah I've lost a few tools to the loft gods as well 🙏 lol
looking good great ideas
Ox=legends
This would be perfect for the tool bag saves having the big hefty rothenberger pipe cutter. That gets dropped alot. The flexi looks like it will bounce back in my hand once dropped 🤣
If you want to use a saw to cut plastic - use a tenon saw, not a hacksaw. You’ll get no swarf. For straighter cuts use a wooden mitre box.
I defiantly need this as I don’t think I’ve cut a pipe straight yet 😂😂
You keep hittin the gym an your not gonna fit in the shot! 💪🏼
Best ideas' are simple !
Iam an apprentice iam with a one man band and he’s old school uses hacksaw for all plastic pipe or blunt pipe cutter which you have to roatate round the pipe so these would be really really handy

Pretty sure it can cut those PEX-AL-PEX pipes too. Nice tool.
Dude I need one in my life
Thay are, as the kids say 'Peng'
Holding tight until they're available!
Love it. Now if only it could cut 10mm pipe too
A standard copper pipe cutting tool will do the same thing with small pipe sizes.
I wasted $ 54 on one yesterday and my conclusion is it's ok for thin walled pipe no good at all for 40/50 mm pipe will stick to my recip saw
Score 5/10☹️
It looks ok, but when is a company going to make one that chamfers the end of the pipe at the same time, a must for push fit pipe.
so what you need is a giant pencil sharpener, lol
What you really need is the Knipex DP50 mate, best solution to me.
@@nikitagm5015 Ayo thanks for that, didn't know it exists, it does a small chamfer and that's perfect.
Looks like an amazing piece of kit. I have quite a lot of ox gear already (not all plumbing) but these do look there gonna make life a lot easier and faster
I should win the C2 because I need ut in my life and for knackery damp kitchen sinks lol
knipex bix, knipex bix 20 -50mm nuff said!
Before you replace the blade, you can just turn it over.
I would still rather go for the Knipex DP50 really
Versatile over the pipe 😂
I love it. It looks idiot proof, just right for me. 😄
Nice advert 🙄
One word description for these cutters " simple" lol
Looks like the blades might be reversible.
