I dont know much about pedals, I have a Boss Octave pedal, and I quite like it. This pedal is really cool, and I like how you describe how it works, very thorough job!! Great video again, John, thank you!!!
Hey John! New to your videos! Love this demo you did for the Carbon Copy. Great little unit. In case you weren't aware, MXR now makes a Carbon Copy Deluxe, which offers the mod controls you'd said you wanted in the pedal, as well as a "bright" switch, and a tap tempo! I own the unit, myself, and it's a phenomenal piece, definitely recommend that you check it out if you have the opportunity! Digging some fo the stuff I'm seeing from you so far! Cheers!
I know I’m late here responding on. 5 year old video, but what attracted me was the title, “From Hank Marvin . . . “ I’m trying to emulate the awesome echo sound that Hank produced. Can this MXR unit produce his sound, and how? If you did a video on this, please let me know which one. Much thanks.
You can get close to Hank's sound with this unit, but for authentic Shadows sounds, a Boss Space Echo which replicates the old tape echo would be good: www.boss.info/uk/products/re-202/
really surprised to see you promoting somehting that is not Barley Henton. I thought by now that HB or Joyo would have released a cheap (carbon) copy of the Carbon copy.
The carbon copy is not a reliable pedal and has lots of issues. Went through three of these things. All of them broke. Switched to the Boss WAZA delay and no issues.
Hi John, out of the blue, how would you like to take a 12 strings Harley Benton electric guitar and rip off 6 strings so to enjoy a wider neck? I come from classical guitar neck and always feel cramped when I pick up an electric guitar. May you give us some advice ? Thanks anyway. You are a Pleasure.
John does it again. I've only got a looper pedal, and my decades old TubeScreamer, but I will be getting me another analog delay.
merci! nice demo and good luck for the bids!

Yes mate... I've seen that done before. Whatever works for you 👍
Great stuff!
I vaguely remember 'digital' shampoo, not that I'd use it these days - I've got more hair on my arse than my head :)
Know the feeling mate.
MXR has prove the best funs and music more my G& l guitars .
There is any internal trim pot that you can adjust the mod effect. It has a nice sweep to it.😁
Nice to know... Cheers. The pedal didn't come with a manual so I wasn't aware of that.
👌👌👌🙏
... too quick...
too much talk
