    I’m far from a beginner, and the CC is my go-to delay already, but I have to say that this the best demo that I’ve seen for this pedal. Heck, maybe even for any pedal. Adjusting each knob while playing a simple chord is by far the best way to show a pedals function. I hate it when I want to just see what a pedal can do but the demonstrator has to beat me over the head with how blazingly fast/amazingly talented he or she is. I realized about 25 years ago that I’m a pretty good rhythm guitarist, and that’s as far as I’ll get. I’m never going to be able rip out a killer solo and I’m satisfied with my place in the band, so just show me kind of what I’ll sound like playing through the pedal! 😃
    Keep up the fine work, young man! I wish I had resource like this when I was starting out.

      Thank You! I can't play blazingly fast either. Maybe in the future haha. But I have been thinking about how to best review the tone because rhythm can sound different from melodies. Muting the strings makes it sound different too. I am still trying to figure this out, but I try my best to show what you could expect from the pedals.

      You described me 100%. I’m 56 years old. Been playing guitar 40 years and doing it just for fun. Not making a living. Just jamming with friends and the occasional party/bar for fun and beers. Tough to find somebody just banging chords for us rhythm dudes

    Great job showing the modulation tuning like that 👍

    “Who actually uses self oscillation though?” Me. I bought the carbon copy deluxe almost exclusively for playing with self oscillation. I love the sound, it scratches my brain and it is an awesome transition or even lead-in to a track.

      @matthewlewis8191 ปีที่แล้ว

      I often use the self-oscillation. The natural decay of the bucket brigade sounds so good!

    Hola amigo una consulta: Cuando activo mi pedal carbon copy me da un golpe de sonido como "pukff" a que se debe ? Solo cuando se apacha el switch. El pedal funciona bien lo unico es el sonido... espero tu respuesta

    Man I appreciate you covering the blue LED. Something about it gives me light sensitivity, and it's what's kept me away from ever owning this pedal. Is that a bit drastic? Possibly.

    • @GrowWithGuitar
      @GrowWithGuitar  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Blue light is supposed to be bad for your eyes, so I blocked it. It might be fine when the pedal is on the floor, but you can't really avoid it in a video haha. Thanks for your kind comment. 😊

      I haven't tried a lot of pedals yet, but I have tried delays through software and, like you said, amps that I had. Excited to review more on this channel.

    Do all of the carbon copys have the internal trim pots?
    Great video!

    • @GrowWithGuitar
      @GrowWithGuitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure about the mini or deluxe versions, but the exact same model of this carbon copy should all have the internal trim pots. However, I believe this is the updated version of their carbon copy, which made it easier to adjust the trim pots, so if you decide to buy it used, just make sure to check that the internals look the same.

    Congratulations and thanks for the video. Dude tell me something, does the MXR Carbon Copy pedal have a different version? I noticed that some have mxr embossed on the back cover where it regulates the modification effect and others don't. I'm from Brasil, if you can translate will help lol 😂 🇧🇷

    • @GrowWithGuitar
      @GrowWithGuitar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Somewhere along the line, they probably manufactured it differently. It should all be sold under the same product though because it is just minor details that should not affect the tone.

      @sergiol.l.junior8404 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GrowWithGuitar Yes, they are very different, that inscription in high relief that I mentioned I saw on the traditional pedals. I'm not sure, but it seems that the ones marked MXR on the back are the newest, and apparently the modulation buttons change too.

    my CC has a much more robust range in both the Mix and Regen controls. Is it that your guitar has a very low output? Single coils?

    • @gfm1496
      @gfm1496 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you powering with recommended 9v or something higher like 12v or 18v? Some do this purposely for higher headroom but I found in trying this all the controls max out on anything useable lower in their ranges. Check you are using 9v.
