`I have been going to both Spring and Fall Rod Runs for 35 years. Yes the traffic is horrible, especially on Saturdays but it is a blast. I love Rod Run. I think this year we walked a total of 31 miles over the 3 days I was there. Worn out but had a ball. See you in September

Just when I was about done with watching youtube today, hubby sat down for a minute to watch with me, I put your latest vlog on and hubby said he was drooling over all those classics! He is a mechanic by trade so this was his element. We have been to a ton of car shows but this one might be put on his bucket list. Thanks for doing this last minute changeup!

Years ago we made the mistake of going when there was rod run. Had no idea it was going to be happening. Took 3 hours to drive one mile ! 😅 Never again during a Rod run. We visit the Smoky Mountains at least once a year.

Awesome! I was there for the one that was held in September and yeah the traffic maybe a nightmare but that is all part of it. It’s a slow crawl to see the beautiful cars. I loved it when I was there. I didn’t plan it but got lucky that I chose to go when I did. 😀
You know that Chevy van you wanted to drive? If the engine compartment is between driver and passenger, Then it's exactly like the one my dad rode in between the 70s and the eighties,. Pure carbureted v6 or v8. Before modular seats were heard of. You had to bolt and unbolt the seats. His was a metallic green. Like those lowriders. That thing could really burn rubber. Rest in peace Dad! Loved the horse ride and pole action in the van!!
My first car was a 66 Mustang. My fam has ran car lots and collision repair shops since 1955. I love old cars and the mountains but I'd NEVER try to go to this. Burford T. Justice was my favorite. Jackie Gleason KILLED it in that role!
Greetings from Ohio. I have been going to Gatlinburg/pigeon forge all my life. Being about 6 hours away we have made many last minute "heck it" spur of the moment trips. Crowds have gotten crazier over the years and are insane for rod run but always a great time. Enjoy and safe travels

My daughter and her husband was there. I watched the grandkids, so they could go that weekend. That short school bus thing was creepy. My grandkids would call it the creepy kidnapper van and they would be right. 😳 But Will was funny. lol!! 😆🤪 There was a lot of beautiful cars there though. I could see you driving that little green vans Adam. To me that looked like a lot of fun. 🙂

We just got to pigeon Forge on Easter and just checked out on Saturday. We stayed at camp Margaritaville right where you were so upset we didn’t stay one extra day. It would’ve been great to have met you.
