Making use of the th-cam.com/users/postUgkxcJ22tnHH9l1vjdIdEIG27iOG55P7LXI8 reconditioning plan, I just saved 2 auto batteries from being completely junked. The guides were very simple to follow. I wish I would have found this years ago! You may use the guide to recondition any battery type
Thanks a lot man. Its a great camera except that it eats batteries like hell. I use it to record my eye videos (I am a doctor, an eye surgeon), and this model the is ideal for that with CHDK
Great! I'm going to try it. Btw, can you please show me how did you connected the screws with the 18650 holder.? I'm a bit confused with wire connection to the 18650 holder. Just to be cautious not to short it.
the cover metal plate should not short the 2 screws. Instead of the screws, you can use any cylindrical piece with just a wired electrical contact at the bottem
My camera takes AA battery's and I want to vlog but i dont know when the battery dies cause I don't have a flip screen.. Any suggestions besides buying a new camera?
i love your video thank you for the idea. but are the extra voltage not of concern, i thing you can put a diode to remove .7v from the 18650 thereby making the voltage closer to that of the AA battery
I think modern cameras can work on 3,7V, almost all cameras with AAs have possibility to buy li-ion. In may old ultrazoom camera is settings for it. there is NiMh, Alkaline or li-ion
Great Plan. i have several old cameras that i hate only because they use "AA"'s , i don't think i will hack up my new cannon though. LOL cost too much to experiment on. the dash cam things a cool Idea also but that sucker will go flying if you get in a accident. might want to rig a better stand up on it for that. i am going to go price some 18650s and chargers. maybe i can hack and old cordless drill charger for that purpose. i am thinking there may be a lot of more uses for 18650 battery hacks. maybe to make the solar powered led lights work better.
Nice :) so this works but I am thinking of getting a 14500 battery (same as 18650 fully charge is 4.2v but only lower in capacity but it's the same same as AA battery) and use with a fully drained AA battery as a bridge to complete the circuit so I don't need to mod for the external battery pack :)
Có lý à nhen ,cái 18650 holder bạn mua ở đâu vậy ,Mình còn 3 cái canon sx150 .,đang tính mua Pkcell 1.6 volt AA Ni -Zn battery đây ,mà không biết dùng có tốt không ?.
Toi mua 18650 holder tren Ebay, rat re, chi duoi 1 dong USD. AA NiZn toi dda xai qua, khong ben. Xai duoc khoang 20 charge cycles la no chet! Xai 118650 tot hon nhieu va co the xai lau het bin hon.
is over-discharging of the 3.6v li-ion battery a concern? That camera probably runs on double 1.2v Ni-Mh batteries as well, which could bring the voltage down to 2.0v. But if you have recycled batteries from laptops I guess it's disposable :D Good idea though!
over-discharging the Li-ion battery is not a concern in this case. This camera consumes so much power that once my Li-ion battery goes down to 3.6V, it starts to give low-battery warning. So it's just a perfect time to pull it out to recharge!
Lucky the camera doesn't get fried on a full charge. 18650 hits 4.2VDC fully charged, while two AA in series are only 3V. For the car you should use a step down from 12V lighter yo 3V you can use an adjustable MP2307 module to power literally any camera
I have same idea. Using 18650 or 14500 li-ions is big fucking moneyhack. I don't understand why it's not standard in all cameras and similar electronics. We buying it in expensive plastic box now.
I think the electronics inside can tolerate between 2.7v and 4.5v ... that is why u have been using it with no problems at all. The question is, do all cameras can support up to 4.5v?
can i use MI power bank to power camera instead of 18650 batteries..

Awesome Man....thanks for Sharing this Trick!

How is a 3.3v camera working on 4.2v ?
I like your concept , but my problem is i dont know where can i get 18650 Battery Holder

Sir can you please make a video on how to use this camera with the help of powerbank instead of battery please
Which model is the first shown camera
3M Duallock the only right velcro. there is a softer version if surfaces are bent.
Can you make an 3d printed battery grip for this camera and give us the files
Search for "ACK800 + DR-DC10 Coupler"
Is this will create any damage to use 3.7 voltage in this camera which only wants 3 voltage????
Yes quite possibly
Amazon sells 1.5 vold LiION batteries. They should work fine.
My camera takes AA battery's and I want to vlog but i dont know when the battery dies cause I don't have a flip screen.. Any suggestions besides buying a new camera?
I want to try this.i have Nikon coolpix L110,but my problem is the batteries..We vapers, used this 1860 battery

keep up the good works.
DIY: Hack a camera or device that runs on AA 1.5V batteries to run on 18650 or lithium.
Great Plan. i have several old cameras that i hate only because they use "AA"'s , i don't think i will hack up my new cannon though. LOL cost too much to experiment on.

i did same, except i connected 2 18650 in parallel with no problems

Interesting, it takes two 1.5v AA = 3v and how was those power the camera?
amazing!

love your video my friend anh vuaeco
Use the camera to record Frank 24/7
if only you show us the screw and how to make it

Actually a new AA is about 1.65V each so both of them are more like 3.3V. After 4 years, it's still working like new. I use it almost everyday.
Dummy batteries what kind of wire are they using
This battery used on Vape

Can you make a tutorial on creating that?
whene i turn my camera it says change the buttryes .why
Dirty terminals?
fuckin genius
I am afraid 4v might fry the sensitive components inside.😵
Been using it ever since. I'm still using it now. Have never had a single problem.

15 min. big joke. made stereodatamaker videos two cams. its lasting longer. get the right charger.
