Hey Max, I dont know if you will see this but I have 1 problem. It works fine and well. But when I open Magisk, and check Safetynet it both shows false. So I try updating Magisk even when you said you shouldn't do it. I could fix it anyway if it would brick. And it then shows true on Safetynet. But after a while the Root apps are not working properly. They do at first but after a while they don't. And then when I restart my phone it will be stuck on the Samsung screen. Max, I used to root all my phones and last one I did was my S6... Why the need today to root??? Since my S6, I had also the S7, S9+ and now on Note9 and no longer feel the need to root... What am I missing here???
You don't have to, I root my phones so I can easily backup app/app+data to other phones since I own many, also many 3rd party accessories like game controllers require full root to get overlay permission so rooted phones make it 10 times easier for stuff like that. Now, the question is, do you even have a phone that can be rooted? Most Qualcomm models cannot be rooted these days anyways so you may be out of luck unless you even have the right model.

the tutorial is very good, but i need help. I had problems with the rom, so I reinstalled the original rom. I took advantage and installed twrp and did root, called normal and with root working. I used magisk for permission of a fake gps app, but every time I restart it has an infinite loop on the screen unlock (going to the samsung name, operator symbol and back to samsung name), so I enter the twrp format and it opens the system again, but every time you restart I have to format it to start the system. Phone does not go to black screen and Odin says it is failed to download the image...My device is exynos and it is not brand new, and unfortunatelly after the Pie update I dont have the OEM unlock option. I used to have it. I have also tried the reversing back time solution which did nothing. In some of the websites it says that it is already unlocked that's why we do not see it :(

Works on S9+ with the latest stock firmware as of July 5 2019 - (i have G965FXXU5CSF4) - Edit. while it did work initially, it reverted to where you needed to reflash the oem zip file. How i fixed this was i uninstalled the current magisk manager (it was the updated version but still, redownloaded the manager and installed it again. it stuck this time. now fully rooted

figured out one thing, there is no need to flash the root/OEM twice. Before insalling magisk manger just soft reboot your phone and it should work

you can just disable auto-reboot in odin options.. it wont reboot the phone after flashing and you can take your time to reboot into twrp

Hi Max ! How can i downgrade Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 from Pie to Oreo. I try using Odin but its fail because of lower binary on Oreo firmware, higher on device. Can i downgrade it to Oreo if i install TWRP Recovery on my Tab S4? If yes, do i need to root the device for the downgrade procedure or not? C'm on mate, reply me!
