    You sir just made a VERY good video! You really prepared well taking pictures of the same plants/buds with different time intervals. I also liked the comparison between the pinched plant vs the non-pinched plant. Last year I grew over a hundred plants from seed and I cant wait to start again this year. The bees love them here as well. Greetings from Belgium :)

      Thanks Jeroen for such a fantastic comment. I had seen alot of confusion on buds vs heads so thought to add pictures to clarify this. I am also in seeds and I think growing with seeds is more engaging and allow you to learn/explore more. Stay tune on channel for more updates. tc

    Incredible video! What a treat for a beginning dahlia gardener like me. You’ve managed to perfectly show the entire process of growing seed dahlias-from sowing to blossom-in the 20 minutes. Thank you! Now I know what to expect.

    Thank you so much for presenting the complete cycle of Dahlia. I am living in a cold climate area. After 9 seasons, I have started again growing Dahlia and just collecting seeds today. Hope your guidance will help me to get new varieties in 2023! Many thanks once again.

      All the best Afzal, this season I had four new Color shades from my own seed collection. Seed collection is a slow but very rewarding process.

    Even though I have been doing this for a no. of years I still watched your excellent video right to the end. Well done on the clear concise instructions. I would definitely recommend growing from seed especially the open petal varieties which will attract hundreds of bees etc to your garden.

    Great video, no unnecessary talk and wasting time. Immediately subscribed. Could you please tell me why we have to store the tubers? what if we leave the tubers in ground, dig and replant next year?

    • @ProfInfinity
      @ProfInfinity  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks. One of the biggest issue with dahlia tubers is getting rotten when they stay in wet conditions. After the blooming season, winter is a wet season and also frost will damage tubers. So I found that it is best to lift and store. All the best

    Sorry if this seems like a daft question, but if you don't store the tuber will the plant die?

    • @ProfInfinity
      @ProfInfinity  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Very valid question indeed. Depends on weather conditions but cold/frost can kill tubers and if you keep them wet off-season then they will tend to be rotten.

    Great video, what where the variety names and colors? As you showed the flowers 🌸🌺🌼
    Can you pop the name of it on the screen? Then after you pulled them out and was labeling them, can you show us which tubers went to which flower? As you said, some produce more tubers then others? Which color was your favorite? Which produced the most flowers? Have you pulled your tubers out for this year? Did they survive? I just bought a bunch of store bought tubers so I can grow and save seeds this year. I have grown a few different ones and they were beautiful! Pen hill watermelon, laberinth, Alamode, popcorn, fern cliff illusion, Clyde’s choice, lifestyle, flereal, crem de con yak, Nicholas, Alberta sunset, bloom quist sweet, chi Rae, just peachie, Pooh, (single) chewy, honeydew, gets crazy, crazy love, wild cat, mr. optimism, tarton red, these are some I have grown and are gorgeous colors, some are dinner plates.
