Good, bad, and ugly Tulip bulbs: flower or no flower ?
Can i planted now in dec
I am not sure about your location but they need a cold weather to get started. In UK, December is cold until March ( perfect for bulbs) and blooming season in April onwards.
@ProfInfinity till March it's bit cool
What a great video! Thank you so much. Subscribed! Could I ask please, will even hybrid varieties bloom again by following this method?
THANKS PROFUSELY.I visit Nederland every year and like others I am infatuated by Tulip flowers.but I never succeeded in growing it in My house . Yur video has given me new inspiration to grow my favourite flower in my home.
All the best
What’s the best time to plant since this is the Autumn Fall season in NC USA thanks for your support! I need this in my garden 😋
Thank you, excellent!
First class video on dahlias thanks liverpool
Thanks 😀
You also have beautiful tulip with beautiful video
Thanks, a good collection is a asset and I am always hunt for new varieties 😀
Wow great video. All new information for me. Exactly what I needed to know. Thanks a lot
Super, I hope that you have a great display in spring.
Even though I have been doing this for a no. of years I still watched your excellent video right to the end. Well done on the clear concise instructions. I would definitely recommend growing from seed especially the open petal varieties which will attract hundreds of bees etc to your garden.
Thanks for such a lovely comment, made my day. I totally agree on growing from seeds 😀
Thank, now I can see where I was going wrong 😢
Thank you for sharing your tips, very clear to follow. Looking forward to drying and sorting my tulip bulbs. It’s my first attempt, wish me luck!
“Crispy sound was simply wow” made me so happy. Thank you for the clear explanation.
TQ brother ❤
After you dead head, do you continue to water?
Yes, the bulbs are alive and needs water but not heavily.
Thanks for offering this very clearly explained video about tulip bulb care. I'll certainly be sharing it with friends.
Thanks
thank you! this is exactly what i was looking for!
Glad I could help!
Thank you for this explanation. Very clear and concise.
Nicely done!
Fantastically helpful! Thank you!
I have a question… If I decide to save the smaller bulbs, do I simply leave them this way for a couple years? Or do I need to continue to plant every season?
They needs to be lifted and plant every year and this become very challenging unless if you have time and energy. All the best.
Does this all depend on the climate you live in? Like the different zones??
Normally bulbs don’t like warm weather.
I like this channel you also talk slow that is a very important thing because everyone wants to grow fast fast I like the slowness of your explaining
Glad that you like it - thanks
Thanks a lot for your guidance ❤
Thank you! I received some purple tulips in a planter, and want to save the bulbs to replant!❤🤗💖
Thank you, thank you, thank you...a friend gave me a pot of beautiful pink tulips and I was wondering how to save the bulbs...found your channel by accident and I'm loving it! Calm, soft spoken, clear directions and explanations...a God send you are! Bless you.🥰
Agreed!
Glad that little effort is helpful - enjoy the blooms.
Is daffodils also the same way to save for next year or better to leave them in the ground after separating the larger groups?
I never lifted daffodils and they are coming back every year 😀
What if leave the bulbs permanently in the garden? Do you have gophers, chipmunks rabbits, or other barrel-making pests that consume your bulb in winter? or will they die if left alone under the snow? I thought they could survive and flower year after year if no one harvested or ate them! Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Can I store clean bulbs in a crate in a basement location?
Great video! very well documented. Thank you
Thanks for all the great info 🌷
Really helpful! Thank you for showing the whole process.
Really helpful! Thank you for showing the whole process.
Excellent video.Thanks for info.❤
i was gifted a potted tulip recently & wonder how i can "preserve" the bulbs stumbled upon this, which i feel is not only an informative video that you explained clearly, but demonstrated how to remove, clean, and store tulip bulbs. i cant wait to gibe it a tr, after the blooms have dried up 😢 quick question though, where do you store the sorted & stacked bulbs? what factors & spots are ideal for storage? thanks
Excellent video. Please can you mention the temperature of the your storage area for the tulip bulbs?
Amazing video.
Great and informative video!
Thank you
So the tiny bulb will be big like the reccomended size to plant? I don't know because I never plant and see tulips in real life before
Yes but it takes few years before tiny bulbs transformed to recommended size. This is a slow process.
What an excellent video! Thanks very much for putting this together, it was really helpful to see the seedlings at different stages, and see the pinching process so clearly. 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Very useful information
Why not leave them in dirt rather than separating the younger bulbs?
Yes, you could do but you will not get a vibrant display. Generally, you would expect more leaves than blooms.
Very helpful and nicely explained. It will help me a lot, thank you so much!
You are welcome!
This is the most informative starting Dahlias from seed video I have found…Great Job!!! In February I will be attempting to start some Dahlia seeds for the first time and your video has given more confidence to try it!!
All the best and you will love the journey.
Wow..explained beautifully...❤❤❤
excellent!
Very nice
Yesterday, I bought tulip bulbs from the store. I would like to ask if i can store them without planting them for the next fall is that possible?
Interesting question, I never did storage during season but I have feeling that new shoots will come out from bulbs during storage and will be white. I don’t think that they will flower as needs more energy from sun and compost etc. I have experience with dahlia and if you are late than similar thing happen. Can we store during season … I am not fully sure but you may able to. I don’t know how new white shoots will impact growth new year. Just to add, white shoots indicate low light to no light conditions and shoots turn green when expose to sun light. All the best and do share your experience.

Thank you for the most informative dahlia growing video that I have so far ever watched. It interesting and clear and easy to understand.
Thanks for comment - much appreciated
You have confused centremeters and millimeters, very confusing.
Hmm perhaps not.
He consistently used cm as far as I can tell, he is saying the bulbs must be 10cm in circumference, which is about 3cm in diameter
Thanks for clarifying, normally tulip labels are with respect to circumference so best to carry on with that. All the best
