For the 530i..in sport mode the engine trim is calibrated more than 252hp at the wheel..pressing the sport mode,instantly the engine tune up more hp and stiffen the suspension..

I heard with this latest setup, the 12kWh only allows 9.2kWh to be used for electric drives, the 20% is "retained" by the car to always allow the full 252 bhp whenever you need it, even when the battery is completely depleted. This 20% is supposedly always regenerated, behaving like a mild hybrid. It's a nice thing to know how this aspect works to appreciate this setup might have better green credentials and why the engine tune levels is actually good enough to reflect the 530e moniker.

It's not too bad that the 530i is priced 50k more than 530e. But overall this facelifted G30 look more nicer.

Yes, this is an unfortunate omission. But you can try hunting in the recon market for a unit that offers this feature? But recon won't have 530e.
