@@bmw3seriesg207 Absolutely wrong. Even if you never plug the car in, it will still be incredibly more efficient than the i version and the boost will always be available. Watch the head to head on these. The 530e smokes the 530i pretty easily in drag and any other speed/performance test. Its a lot more efficient and more performance, and for less money up front and in the long run. You really could not be more wrong.
love the reverse camera so much and the reverse assist is such a cool feature ! but to be honest, the interior, dashboard buttons is still dull… the aircond close open is soooo 2000!
It's so interesting to watch. I didn't know that in Malaysia 530i is a top model because in Thailand our top model is 530e M sport and instead of 530i we have 520d M sport 🤣. Oh and I also curious did they also comes with integral steering?
I have had my 330e for a year now, and have zero regrets with this car. I am so glad I did not buy a Tesla. I have known dozens of people that have had them now, and all except 2 have since sold them. They are just awful cars.
Honestly speaking, the 5 series are due for new facelift. Although they are very good looking on the facelift, but it seems a little dated expecially if comparing side by side the E-class!
But honestly, comparing between 5 series facelift and E class facelift, 5 series looks better than E class facelift. Also, 5 series facelift comes with rear cross traffic alert but E class facelift doesn’t come. Between interior design for E class facelift and 5 series facelift, are same era but looks better than E class facelift. While exterior design, 5 series facelift looks better than E class facelift. Even reliability, BMW is also better than Mercedes
I had a brand new E300 fully loaded with options, it was a good-looking car but has endless issues. every other month it was at the dealership repair shop. The driver's door cover was making a buzzing noise, and the dealership was not able to fix it! a couple months after the fuel pump was gone! after that a light broke, then the trunk button was stuck, then the Air compressor for the air suspension system broke, then the mirror started making annoying noise when the road was rough, then one of the air shocks for the suspension system broke and damaged the tire. all of these happened in two years and in about 20K miles. It was a really trash car. I got tired of it and sold it. I'm not going to buy Mercedes anymore it's a trash car at a crazy price tag!
Yup. I have the 330e, and it basically has the same drivetrain. Assuming you start with an empty battery and just daily drive the car in the city about 25 miles a day, the battery will reach full charge in about 9-11 days by recovering exclusively from coasting and braking. All that while you are getting 33-35MPG. This is in the mild sport mode, because there is not actually an eco mode for gas only operation. Then you get basically a "free" day where you can drive your 25 miles on all electric, thus increasing your effective MPG over that period. In few words, even if you never plug this car in, it is still incredibly more efficient than the i version while having no downsides other than the smaller trunk. And its cheaper up front if you get the tax credit. IMO, you also get to greatly extend the interval between oil changes (at your own risk), and the car hardly uses the mechanical brakes at all. This saves you more money in the long run as well over the i version. It's a no brainer.
Bagus Malaysia ni. Senang nak bezakan. 530e murah pada 530i (sbb dasar kerajaan). Tp dah boleh tahu cara nak pilih. Byk duit beli aje 530i. Nk jimat beli je 530e. Nak lagi jimat beli myvi. Kbye.
@@happy_forever8 +1, I would go for the one with the B58 too. Substance over superficial, a full size BMW without a straight six is just a social climbing shoebox for lease, with "M-Sport" somemore. How pretentious... I swear M-Technic just hand out these badges like participation badges nowadays, and ironically it only works in the SEA markets because the consumers here are just THAT shallow.
Is that because hybrids are so much more cost and energy efficient than EV's? Is that why they are a waste of time in your opinion? Good luck with your EV. I hope you have a lot of extra time to wait a energy stations wasting your life away.

First time to ever witness that a lower spec car has more power than the higher one
Pretty much useless when there is no charge or at high speeds though, just becomes a heavier 520i
Great for city use where u need to pickup at the traffic light to cut at the next junction, assuming if u are first in line.

I got myself a 530i xDrive, the car is fantastic. Great performance paired with good efficiency. I highly recommend it.
Eu Jin suddenly transverse from PT to AB...after the Triton Phantum Plus...haha
Nice video... possibly in the future you could do a comparison between the BMW 530e and the Volvo s90 t8

530i always
Love the reviews. The thing abt BMW is u gotta figure out if the brand, class or performance is worth it given the poor reliability

I love my g30 sportline. Oem blacked out grill. The chrome & black grill looks slow

Does the plug in hybrid self charge when driving?

There's no spare tyre with BMW, are you comfortable with that? Since you mentioned before you are not comfortable with cars without spare tyre.
530i for me PHEV hmmmm not yet
