I have the 2017 53e. Love it! Some things he didn’t mention, which are really nice are: I’ve only had 2 oil changes in over 60,000 miles. My break pads look like they will last me over 120,000 miles because of regenerative breaking (so it doesn’t use the break pads, it just charges the battery). Mine only take about 2 hours to fully charge. Instant torque. I can do 80mph full electric. I qualified for a tax rebate on it. I fill up with gas about once per month (or less). Most of my trips are pretty short, so I charge all the time in between trips. There’s a charger at the office too. Sooo quiet when I need it to be and still have the engine when I want it.

I won't complain about the M3 & M4 nose anymore. Like a good teacher, you taught me well to like them. This is nice too. I like that the e does not have yellow or blue stickers everywhere to mark it as a hybrid car.... Thank you once again Joe & Lori.
I have this model in the same color combination (including the red caliper brakes but with black wheels. I have ventilated and massaging seats). I only have about 1,000 miles but only put gas in once. I am averaging 90mpg (most of my trips are under 20 miles).

my dad is thinking about upgrading his 2018 530e .. definitely gonna send this to him to convince him since he’s been on the fence about what’s new 😂 love that opaque grey color as well!
The halo still was an icon.. this shape looks like the new jags, vw, Avalon, etc. hope they bring it back someday. Anyways thank you for always posting great videos. My twinkies and i thank you!

Good review and nice to see the 520d getting some praise. Anyone put off by the low bhp figure should try one if they're in the market for this sort of car. They punch above what the figures would suggest and are excellent all-rounders.

I wouldn't give any car a Zonk for not having ventilated seats. Real men don't need ventilated seats. In over 50 years of driving, I've never felt the need for my seat to be air conditioned. The cabin air conditioner is enough for me. Heated seats in the winter time can be worthwhile, however.
Can you please zonk the orange reflectors manufacturers are adding on the bumper. They should incorporate it into the head light. Also my OCD and symmetry is saying there should be an actual tuning knob to match volume knob
A nice car. The features and interior make this gem worth to buy. I love the color and styling of the car. I like BMW and Mercedes they are really nice cars just real high especially when they get older maintenance are ridiculous with parts etc.
Very nice, it's almost a hybrid in disguise. Like you said, if you're not a car person you might not know it's a hybrid at first. On throttle sounds good too. Love the color .
Oh and also Joe didn't mention that If you simply drive the car for 26 miles, the batteries will be completely charged! IMHO, there really isn't a need to plug in the car!
BMW has never really done a black color rooftop, they’re not like American cars like Dodge to get that option, however for M Cars it comes standard with Carbon Fiber rooftop. I feel that they should offer the black roof top especially if your order the “Shadow Line” option.
I drive a 2019 BMW 530e, for myself personally I haven’t seen anything that would make it worth exchanging for a more recent one. Such a car can only surprise e60 owners. I don’t see any point in all other g30 owners. I don’t have anything super-technological for which reason anyone should buy it. a modern Chinese car of this class will tear any European American car to shreds without a second thought❤

Damn i love that color on the 530, i got mine in dark graphite which is still sleek but something about that battleship grey is appealing.

Wish that you could get these without sunroofs. Glass weighs more than steel, and there's no worse place to add weight than the roof.
