My dad has this same year/model and I've driven it about 100 miles. It's designed for high speed driving, not the low speed stuff you're doing. You can't appreciate the engine, chassis and quietness until you cruise with it on the freeway for an hour plus. What impresses me is how huge the torque and hp curve is with minimal pedal input. It's a great Grand Touring car. It feels somewhat like a SL Benz but with more power. Unless you live in Santa Barbara or Beverly Hills, you won't see many on the road -- SL Benz are a dime a dozen by comparison, but exclusivity ain't cheap. These were about $200K new in '08, you can find nice cars with less than 25K miles for under $70K.
I have loved the Bentley Continental for many years, that Convertible is beautifull, still enjoying your reviews, keep them coming. Thumbs Up from Australia. 🇦🇺
I own a 2008 I'm very proud of this car when I drive in I take the top down and you feel so good to enjoying the breeze I've been blessing with this car I really love it I used to have a 2014 Vette and I trade it for the Bentley that was easy for me to go in and out and I love it when I cruise down the beach
Really loved this video, I was pretty suprised and happy to find basically no problems with a car that people often say break down a lot and stuff. Not to say it won't because it may which is why that warranty is important but it's just a nice thing to see. Anytime you make a joke it's just funny to me especially when you laugh at you own joke, I just think its funny when anyone does it, i do it too 😆. The interior looked really coola and the seats were something that I wasn't expecting it looked pretty different than the usual car seats, can't wait for your next video bro
Nice review....I was looking forward to seeing if the Bentley lives up to the hype, because I know you're not afraid to call it an over priced piece of crap if it is one haha
Hahaha thank you sir glad to hear that yea the hype is a mixed thing for me depends on how you look at it. Paying $250k plus for this is absurd but anything under $150k I believe is an accurate price for this thing it def feels like a 6 figure driving experience just not multiple 6 figures lol
A lot of these cars are based on their German counterparts A8 and VW Toureg is the underpinnings for many of the exotic vehicles in the VW line up. BMW 7 series shares underpinnings with the Ghost and the Wraith. This is why these vehicles are not worth 250-500k to me. But to be honest no car is worth more than 150k to me. Bentleys and Rolls certainly have higher grade materials used inside out and far less NVH leading it to feel like a true 6 figure experience for sure
Nice review! You ever drive a SC430? That was gonna be my go to coupé, until I thought about going 2019 LC/ ES. 2001 to 2004 SC430's were hand assembled cars in 72hrs vs robot 26hrs. In 2005 they changed to Chinese leather vs Spanish, added 6 speed vs 5, updated suspension for ride comfort, and updated exterior.
I have never and I really wanted to and when I finally got a chance, it sold lol. But its got the same Engine as the LS430 which is the smoothest Engine ever. And man that's an interesting duo lol LC and ES couldn't be more far apart lol
@@MeynMotorGroup lol I honestly am trying to find the quietest, smoothest, and best riding car for the money. But I want to stay Lexus and don't need a sedan. That's why I picked the ES 19+, lc500, and SC 430 based on my criteria to be on my radar. My current 14 scion tc coupé has more legroom and headroom than the IS sedan and the trunk space of a crossover. I don't have a family and never have any passengers.
Honestly a CPO S550 benz for like 45k is probably the car you're looking for then lol. But a 2013-2017 CPO LS 460 will also do the trick. And here's a curveball, for like 35k a Genesis G90 is as close the S class you can get seriously one of the best cars made
@@MeynMotorGroup I agree, I looked a countless L's 430's, a g90, ls460, and k900. I was contemplating going LS600h with executive baller package if I could get a good example over all those cars. But I keep reverting back to why do I need a sedan lol I'm almost 30 and not going to have 10 kids lol So I flip flopped back to a SC 430 or LC-500H or LS 600h debate.
Hi again, after already leaving a comment, I wanted to ask if you would do a review on a Chevy SS, which was, as you know, built by Holden in Australia, built as a Holden Commodore, and re-branded a Chevrolet, I would enjoy to watch your review on one, and I will share it here on a forum for more views. 😊
I have been looking everywhere for a Chevy SS haha such an amazing car but it is very rare here in the States since not many people bought them. But as soon as I find one, I will review it. Thank you again my friend
@@MeynMotorGroup I've seen a few down here in Myrtle Beach, SC! I'd suggest giving this area a try, lots of rich old money guys down here bought them, might be able to find one or two.
Oh very nice yea I just did a nationwide cargurus search and there's only like 53 for sale! There's a few in Charlotte but Idk when I will get the chance to travel again. But man that's pretty cool they will maintain value or even go up for sure
@@MeynMotorGroup They're probably gonna go up! I know for a fact most of the ones I've seen here at car shows and privately owned are all modified to hell, and I'm sure even more have been crashed. With Holden being defunct and more of these types of cars falling under the radar in the market, it might just be able to get more valuable than sticker for the tuner market. Great video by the way!
@@MeynMotorGroup Thankyou, I look forward to it, when you find one, and review it, I also watch youtube channel Red SS, who owns a Chevy SS and videos when he goes on Chevy SS meets, don't know if mentioning Red SS that could help you find one, and if you could mention in your review, that an Aussie subscriber asked for this, review on the Chevy SS, I would love it, and be most appreciative. 😊
Exactly but I was an idiot when I did that S 550 review, I forgot to mention the G90. Dude that car is incredible as close to refinement as you can get to that S class its incredible and that cad only got released in 2017
@@MeynMotorGroup Mate don't stress it , it's easy to overlook stuff and yeah I've heard great things about the G90 the 2020 is supposed to be even better than the one you drove and the new G80 they're about to release is supposed to be really special too!
ofc a bentley with 20k miles would not be falling apart , but theres a reason they depreciated to 1/6 of the msrp even with this low mileage this engines are just a nightmare to work on , you must get a warranty . BTW Kevin do you think you will ever to get an LC500 COnvertible to review any time soon?
@@MeynMotorGroup i dont doubt on your shivers you cant stick a nail on that engine bay :D I feel bad for you im sure you would like to try the convertible and i would like to see you compare it to the coupe , ive seen others do it but you acutaly own a coupe and that would be the trustworthy opinion i could get

Wow! What would you pick this or a Maserati? They cost about the same for a 2010
