Amen to this, stop it with the stupid contests and focus on cars, that is what we want to see, the cars that we aim to get, mind you, with variable degrees of success on the task lol
Such a genuine bloke I'm glad Collecting Cars has brought him to my attention, would like to see a reverse of this situation where Neil has to do a day as Chris Harris. Like to see him skidding a 911 (maybe after a few tries...)
So I never comment on yt videos but this simply has to be applauded. The thin line between realism and satire is absolutely spot on and it looks like they had lots of fun filming it. Two polar opposites but somehow they work incredibly well together. This is up there with the best from Chris like that 4.0 rs winter video from ages ago.
@@throwback19841I seem to remember it was something on the Pistonheads forum and and Chris was asked to provide evidence of something by putting some custard somewhere in or on the car.
Could watch Chris and Neil for ever, great team and brilliant interaction. Maybe Neil showing his car collection and Chris giving his own unique take on it!
This is exactly what youtube is missing and needs. Chris can be a chauffeur and drives other car people around for the day, listening to the chat discussion is brilliant
I can imagine a lot of people would pay Chris Harris £500 a day to drive them around (me included if I could afford it)... but not wafting around in a Benters... screaming around in a Porker would absolutely be worth the dough.
As I'm sure others have said... This was better than Top Gear. Actual charming and fun on-screen chemistry, not forced or 'whacky'. It's a fun way to test a car in the real world too. More please!
This should have been so boring but was truly so enjoyable. No bs just good banter. Loved how Christopher was such a professional chauffeur. Great job darling 😂
Surely this is the first in a new series of ‘Collecting Addicts: Life Behind the Pod’ is it not?!?! Can’t actually believe we’ve been through the looking glass of Salvino!!! Brilliant guys, this was awesome. Now for the other three
Perfect level of production for me. Good car talk; no TV segment style stuff that doesn't work on TH-cam (for this channel's audience at least); natural conversational tone, shots that let me see and understand the car; and podcast-y chat/doing stuff with mates added in. More of this please.
Absolutely brilliant format guys! The banter is spot on and genuine buggering about whilst integrating an honest opinion about the car.. what a combination! More of this please 😊
That was brilliant. I agree with the others comments, we need more of this. Neil is such a gentleman, i could listen to him talk for hours. It did sort of feel like TG of old.
I'm 11 minutes in and stopped to say, this is great content. Thee best way to indirectly review a car. Very clever, very well thought out and in a world of so much forced and direct marketing, subtly brilliant. Hope those ON shoes/custard were paid promo as they've just had some great product placement, putting them in the same class as the Mulsanne.
Mr Clifford seems like such a cool homie to have. Chris Harris wouldn’t be bad either. Much love and good prospects to you Chris, I feel you on the job situation.
You two- conscience of your length! You two are a super together - conversation utterly classic. I had a Dolomite Sprint that had that type of interior but had the Alfa exterior with the sportiness and not the length it was never a limo but your shorts reminded……. that it boiled over and warped the head on Regent street in 1986. You are both great sports! Top job
This is genius content. Been listening to the podcast for about four months. Really seems like these two are fond of each other and having a great laugh.
*I like how Neil randomly brings up references to lovely old clunkers in his garage/motor house, eg this time a Jaguar Mk1 - respect, would love a nosey around his fleet*
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Such a treat to find this in my subscription feed. You two (and really all five hosts of CA) have such an easy and natural friendship, but the truly amazing thing is that you make all of us feel like we’re the 6th in this special friend group. I have no idea how you do it, but I love pretty much everything you lot do together!
Love this. Chris driving normally instead of sideways is an entertaining watch. Neil is good company as ever, but the responsible driver in me can't help but be picky about him not wearing his seat belt in the back.
For those of us who follow the podcast every week, this was a special treat, loved it! And it was longer than usual which gave us a better impression of the car too Superb! Now do one with Manish in a 456 😅 But what a car this is.
First, where do I send my 500 quid for a day of Mr. Harris driving me around? Second, this may be the most entertaining video in the Collecting Cars catalog to date. Third, well done to the crew who makes these videos happen.
Collecting Cars - Easily one of my favourite channels on TH-cam. Both Chris & Neil are very interesting characters. What about a “ Collecting Addicts “ podcast in something like this Bentley ? I’m sure I wasn’t the only one that noticed the Bird’s Custard hahaa.
Just brilliant! I love listening to you guys talking utter bollocks on the podcast and this content is even better. Let’s hope it goes viral, Edward gets excited about the commercials and you get to do a whole series of these 🤞
Neil is an absolute legend. What a great sport for sharing his day. I would love to see something similar with Mr. C, Manish or Edward. Thank you and your team so much for these amazing videos and podcasts.
I love this so much, I've figured out its because you are all real friends. It feels like being amongst my own group with the BS and banter. Just a bunch of guys in their 50s being guys in their 50s, I can relate to the old shirt issue! I never really felt any connection with the TV car people until we all got a bit older. This is gold.
Love this man - you too Chris - Neil's a very humble respectful person and when he shakes us short ass Italian men he drops his head. Oh yeah, luv the car as well but a two door please!!
You two are amazing together.Your chemistry is amazing the banter top class your friendship and respect for each other totally captivating and very endearing too.please do more content together yes I do watch your other content too but this was a different level. Thanks for making me laugh my head off !!
Can’t believe I just listened to 25 minutes of that and enjoyed every second. Would love to have a guided tour around Neil’s stable at some point, but also understand should he wish to keep things private
A cracking 25mins gents! Great car the Mulsanne but not in EWB guise - side profile is all wrong, just as it is with a XJL, 730Ld, A8L. The only one that just about pulls it off is a W221 S-class. Look forward to the next video. Cheers.
That, was bloody first class. Real world, actually discussing the likely behaviour of such a behemoth of a vehicle. So glad Chris is back on the best medium, TH-cam. Whilst this makes me desperately want a Flying Spur with a V8, I cannot get away from the attention the damn thing draws - particularly if you leave the cities and that is possibly the greatest negative. That said, if you're buying one, you know what you're getting yourself into. I really do think these are peak motoring. Insulate you from the world, thankfully not a Roller and the ability to hop in and nip to any continent on demand and get out feeling moderately fresh. Ok, go on depreciation, do your bit please.
This is what Top Gear should have been, we're so lucky to have Mr.Harris back regularly on youtube. Heaps of fun.
I was about to write the same.
litterally
Harris Clifford & Rowan Atkinson would’ve been ridiculously good
Agree!
Amen to this, stop it with the stupid contests and focus on cars, that is what we want to see, the cars that we aim to get, mind you, with variable degrees of success on the task lol
I could listen to Neil Clifford talking about cars all day on his own
Such a genuine bloke I'm glad Collecting Cars has brought him to my attention, would like to see a reverse of this situation where Neil has to do a day as Chris Harris. Like to see him skidding a 911 (maybe after a few tries...)
So could we!
Luckily there's a podcast for that!
Him speaking in general… The look to left or right as he visualizes what he’s talking about… Majestic
A joy to watch, bravo gentlemen ❤
I love Neil. It feels like he’d be a lovely friend to have in your life.
He is 👍

I love that Neil took Chris to Salvinos after hearing about it so many times on the podcast. Happy times indeed.
This should have been so boring but was truly so enjoyable. No bs just good banter. Loved how Christopher was such a professional chauffeur. Great job darling 😂
Thank you for making this. Neil is a total hero. One of your best videos in a while, more of this!!
I didn't know neil until the podcast, now i love the man, and I can't get enough of him
I love this. Its like a new version of the Transporter. The full version being Mr Harris power sliding a EWB Mulsanne to Neil screaming.
Surely this is the first in a new series of ‘Collecting Addicts: Life Behind the Pod’ is it not?!?! Can’t actually believe we’ve been through the looking glass of Salvino!!! Brilliant guys, this was awesome. Now for the other three

Bloody love Neil, what a legend! Chauffeurs not bad either 🤣
He's got the right cap
if he is a trans bondage life time member🫢😱
Salvinos is great. They made fortunes through Covid. Queues up the road. Very nice sandwiches. All filmed around my old manor. Lovely to see.
This again shows how the BBC didn’t realise what a treasure it had in Chris Harris. Charmingly relatable and very knowledgeable
