I had to do the same with some boots I recently bought so I totally understand that buyer’s remorse because half the time the shipping and restocking fees make it not even worth returning 😅
came to the comments for this one. Lol. I wonder if she got a knock off version of the dress instead of the actual one..maybe… prolly not though lol. Love her the most. 😂❤
Are you using rice flour or wheat flour? Its cut but soo easy to cut a circle and wet the edges with whipped egg then finger or fork seal...very cute though. Might make nice ravioki too
When I was a kid in the 70’s and 80’s, the sand in water, the glasses with straws, and the plastic bubble products were all toys we had back then. I’m surprised to see that the younger generation hasn’t seen these before. I guess everything really does come back around again.
These new soft autumn colors you’ve been wearing are GORGEOUS on your skin tone!!! Like that hair color and that burnt orange blouse are such amazing colors on you!!!
I had one of those pyrofarms and I live in a place with natural biolumenescence. They only glow for a little while because the dinoflagellates are using a chemical reaction and it runs out. But they do recharge slowly and need a lot of sunlight. I had one farm that I thought I killed but I left it alone for a few weeks and it came back to life
10:25 Is anyone else old enough to remember this stuff from the 90s? IIRC they sold little aquarium/terrarium things that came with that sand stuff in little squeeze bottles and you could build these underwater landscapes. The landscapes themselves looked like something in between a castle and a psychedelic stalagmite system.
You can make aqua sand or "Magic sand" as it was called 35 years ago, really easily. Just get some regular fine grain coloured sand and a can of Scotch guard (which is an aerosol spray you use to water proof shoes)/ tent waterproofing spray should also work as long as its not oily, its needs to be able to dry (oily sand is what that Kinetic sand you can get, really is). anyway.. Lay the sand out as a thin layer on a tray or something and spray it with scotch guard, then let it dry. You now have waterproof sand (which is all magic/aqua sand really is)
@The_Jocelot wow, thank you for pointing that out, what would I do without you? Also, from the emoji at the end of my comment, you should have figured out it wasn't a serious one. 😂😂😂😂 Bless your heart
1:52 The algae - yes, the tiny things in your bowl and in the sea are algae called dynophytae (or shrimps eating said algae) - carrying the bioluminescent pigment are toxic for the human body so you can figure out what happens if you drink all that. But really really pretty to see I agree. About the ecological aspect of it... Yeah, the red/bioluminescent tides so famous during those days are not a natural occurence - not in every place they happen nowadays at least. With this I mean that the organiysms themselves are natural, nothing artificial with that, but the way they are so many they completely cover the sea is unnatural. It's due to the excess of nutrients (for example from fertilizers) that are dumped into the sea and cause an overgrowth of algae. And again, with them being toxic, the food chain gets completely disrupted. There's also severe consequences due to the sea surface cverage but I'll get too nerdy for that. So, pretty, but dangerous too.
The hydrophobic sand has been around for DECADES! I had some when I was little (and I'm 44) but they sold it in what looked like a genie lamp and called it magic sand. And wow, I just searched it up and apparently old bottles in the original packaging are selling for a lot more than they would have cost back then. But yes, even for a kid, it didn't stay fun for very long.
Hopes outfit is everything. She looks like princess! Looks like Rapunzels dress with the puffy sleeves and she looks like Rapunzel with her long hair ❤
Well that strawtini glass actually works on pretty simple physics to be honest. Fun fact the level of water in straw and level of water in glass will remain same!
Quick tip:When you are making a nano tape bubble, you should use the hair dryer to heat up the ball,as a result, the tape will be stretchier and will expand more easily when you blow.
Tip for nails: you don’t need a special gel polish or powder for this. 1. for chrome powder (use any eyeshadow or highlighter in any palette you like) and 2. your base or top coat can be used to apply it. For the foil- Amazon has a lot, but head to the dollar store for iridescent wrapping paper.
Hey! Small art tip! For the speckle look on dresses such as the drip glow in the dark dress on the beginning another method to get the small dots even smaller and random is by using your finger to flick the paint on the dress. The end of the brush gives a wider and messy look while the medium width of the brush's end will give a little control to it. Hope this helped!
I am obsessed with that pen and water bottle!! So cool! It made me so happy to see that your glow in the dark treatment worked on the dress! If I was young enough to be going to the club again, I would definitely find a dress like that.
I've seen trash can like stools that do the same. At first I thought the guy broke that trash can but then I was like Nah it's to neat to be an accident 😂

Oh my god. Watching people rediscover toys from the 90's is so fun to watch. Hope, that hydrophobic sand used to be marketed as "Squand" (sand with a q) and it was very popular back then!
I got the same neddo bubble kit for my daughter. What she did was leave a little air in the middle put the straw in and then heat it up with a hairdryer to make the tape stretch and she made HUGE ones.(They also have pink tape. :) ) -Love you Hope 😍😃
I absolutely love the Velvet top that you're wearing with the puffed sleeves. I just want to reach out and touch it. I love soft materials like velvet and velour. I'm actually wearing a pair of red velour leggings right now.
Hope, you look amazing in that color! I love your new hair, your new ways of expressing yourself, and I am just so inspired by you in general. Keep doing what you're doing!

as a kid of the 2000's, me and my younger sister were /shocked/ she didn't know about the sand, it was everywhere in my childhood!
It was a 90s thing too!
yes! I remember the sand from the 80's, I'm sure you could make shapes with it under water too? x
And the brown top with the puffed sleeves! so very 80's!!
Yes , I saw your comment after I posted mine .lol here's to good times 🥂
for the hydrophobic sand I used to have a kit when I was little and it came with stencils to make castles in the water, I was obsessed😂

The first dress is so beautiful
Same , like neverrrr
she has many to buy like a dozen of them, messing one up isnt a big deal for her, not as big as for an average consumer at least
the dress could’ve been made on a cheap dress rather than spending 600 bucks 🥹
Glad to see Lee again!❤
She's beautiful so everything she wears is beautiful. Like if you also think like me

I was thinking about that. Do the dinoflagella die? That seems like a really small payoff in exchange for their lives if so.
I thought the where toxic or poisonous ? I was always told not to touch the shiny water 😅
