I have the same thinner spots in my hairline on my forehead. I have a thinner crown which is harder to style. It doesn't bother me too much at age 42. I don't have the energy or the mental capacity to style my hair like this but it's nice to watch other people do it and live vicariously through them.
Oh wow, I’m turning 42 as well. I used to have thinning in the crown when I was relaxed and it was a trouble spot for me- severe itching and breaking off. It’s thickened up since I’ve been natural. But that area is definitely a different texture from the rest of my hair. It also gets really dry

Girl! Mousse is the enemy of my 4b/4c hair. I use the cremes or gel. I know some people will yell but it also have had to reincoporate hair grease into my routine. I'm perimenopausal and my thyroid has long since been removed. It eliminates the crunch and the curls are uber defined.
My hair loves mousse. It gives me so much definition and hold. I don’t mind the crunch as it softens after a couple of days. But mousse can definitely be a little drying. That’s why it’s good to use oil as well to help seal in moisture.
I don’t mess with no grease though. Only time I use grease is to protect my skin when I’m coloring my hair. Grease does nothing but clog your pores and keep moisture from getting into your scalp as oil not a moisturizer, but a sealant. With the exception of a few.
I have been using this for almost a year I love it!

I feel you on aging and hair changing. I hit the big 47 and the middle to the front of my hair drastically thinned 😱 so now i have 2 textured hair; thin & very soft in the middle & front and thick and "kinky"on the sides & back 🤦🏾 to top it off, my edges are receding 😢 I'm hoping with the help of my dermatologist, it won't progress 🙏🏾

Thank you for demonstrating how to use the 3-row comb. Mine arrived last Saturday. I love how you defined the coils after running the comb through your hair. I had a mini addiction to the Doux's Mousse Def, but it was too drying. I'm leaning toward Big Poppa because of your demo.🥰🥰 Mousse was magic. Maybe I'll find magic again with Big Poppa.

This product is terrible. My hair felt so crunchy and stiff. Don’t waste your money!
It’s normal for a gel to make your hair crunchy and a little stiff, that’s its job- to give hold. It softens up after a few days. I’ve been using this gel for months and MY HAIR loves it.

I haven’t tried Bee Girl yet, but I’d like to. I don’t mind a crunchy hold as it usually wears off after a couple of days
