I think you should try the styling mousse from The Doux. I think it’ll give a better hold while also giving you that moisture. Thank you for this video though! I bought the product but I never used it so I took it back to 🎯. I’ll repurchase it and try it out.

I swear it’s the bababbbb and thyne hair part for me lol I love your vibe in videos always have I be crew lol up over here lol Also love the gel reviews and the fact you use it on its own gives me so much courage to attempt to use it on its own too! I ONLY use the Doux products! All their products works on every curl type. I get compliments every time I do my wash and go!

What do u use for the wash and go ?

1. I cleanse with The Doux No scrubs shampoo and That’s deep conditioner
2. I put Aphogee Curlific Moisture Rich Leave In leave and avocado oil in my hair
3. I use a Denman brush to comb through the leave in and oil.
4. Then I apply the Big poppa gel to my hair using the same method shown in the video. If I am feeling lazy, I comb the gel through with my Denman brush and separate later after it dries.
NOTE: The Doux leave in is a FANTASTIC curl refresher. I use it to refresh my curls after week 1. I do not need to add water to my hair using this product! I put my hair in ponytails with a bonnet on and I can get 2 weeks of juicy curls.

Same! The Doux is hands down my favorite styler line. Their Mousse Def is the best product I have used in nearly 20 years of being natural. It can be used for any style but gives me the best wash and go every time. You only need one product! Nothing else!
I stand by her products! I love everything the Doux has created including styling tools. You have great results from Big Poppa. I love that Maya Smith’s products are a 1 option product and you don’t need layers of multiple items to her quality results.
I just tried this yesterday and it is the love of my life! Every other gel/custard I've tried flakes so bad but this one didn't! I couldn't stop looking at my hair! (I have 4b/4c type hair)
The Doux is one of the lines that every single product I’ve tried has worked for me. Every time I go to Target I put my hands on this gel to buy it but I have so many at home to get thru already.

That's my new favorite. I use the Mousse Def styling foam underneath with Big Pappa gel on top for both wash and gos and twist outs. No leave in. Nice soft definition that stays moisturized until the next wash day. A little goes a long way.

Watching you apply products to your hair is satisfying to me, I mean your hair is goals, who are we kidding?!?! So slow it down, or do whatever keeps you making content for us, I'm here for it all!! The mic still takes me out every time!! 😘
I started shaking my head with that frown of approval after you stretched it 😩 c’mon in here with those beautiful curls 😍😍 this sounds like something that would be best used with a hooded dryer to cut down that drying time. Looks sooo bomb 😍
That glycerin feel goes away and you get more days when you use the mousse underneath. In the southern humidity i get about 5 days.
Speeding it up works great to me we can still see it just dont have to sit through it longer and if anyone needs to see it in detail they can just go back and watch your earlier vids🤷🏽♀️
If you do wash in go’s in the shower, it works really really well. Especially with a base gel, or even a stronger hold gel on top. I love that it’s soft and has a good hold.

What I most love about this gel is it doesn’t flake and I literally went 2 weeks before rewashing my hair. Also, my hair texture is exactly like yours, and yes it truly defines my curls. I never diffuse or apply heat to my hair so the 1st 2 days I do experience a little shrinkage, but by the 3rd day it’s still full; yet elongated, bouncy and shiny..
I ❤️ this gel gal! 😂 Gives shine, moisture & hold in what? 1 step! 🙌🏽 I hate the gels You have to layer over a leave in or cream. Aint nobody got time fa dat. A REAL wash & go. 🏃🏽♀️ I also love their co wash. It’s 🔥!and quiet as it’s kept Very cleansing but has mad moisture. 💦 So far all The Doux products check every box for me. And the mousse is 🔥 for roller sets too.

I love this gel.. And I throw on a lil sprinkle of Wetline on my frizzy lil section and call it a day.. I have the kind of hair that LOVES glycerin.. I have used now a couple differenr ways, and prefer the air dry method over their suggested hooded dryer method of use.. Because when I sat under my hooded dryer with this, BABEEYYYY.. My hair was CRUNCHY.. My 1st time using I felt like mt hair was left feeling very dry.. Once I switched to air drying mt hair felt too soft.. So now with my lil sprinkles of wetline here and there it's this perfect combination of hold and shine.. Lasts me an entire week.. And I'm here for it... I was late to the party on trying this one too, but sure glad I found it..

I found my jar in Marshall’s for $7.99. I do like it BUT I think I’d like it more once my hair grows out. The product would make it easy to transition to topknots, etc once the w&g gets old.

Glad to read this comment. I was ready to return both the mousse and gel because I felt my curls didn't last all day. Did the mousse on one side and gel on the other... they did not last. But I decided to try one more time and apply more product! Glad I did! Still had shrinkage and didn't last longer than 2 days for me. Would love to know if any suggestions out there because I want to continue supporting! *But one comment mentioned using both together, although it was created to use just one. Will try that soon.
