When you're talking about the ''new'' vocalist, you're showing images of Hoest from Taake doing live vocals for them. I know because I was there in France for their show at Hellfest 2014. Good video, Gorgoroth are the best from Norway, with Emperor and Immortal completing my top 3. Cheers !
The funny thing is that when I listen to King Diamond talk about being a satanist I take him seriously because he sounds like he actually knows what he's talking about and understands the concept of it, when I listen to Ghaal talking about it I feel like I'm listening too the obnoxious goth kid "satanists" that I went to high school with in the late 90's who just said shit like that to try and get a rise out of people and seem "intimidating" when they were really just sad losers with low self esteem who no one really liked because they were assholes.
I actually had a good chuckle out of gaahl when i first watched that scene. I sort of got the feeling he was that type of person who tajes himself too seriously
Saying Ad Majorem is a bad album might legitimately be the most deranged take I’ve ever heard. It’s easily in my top 3 Gorgoroth albums and is a gem in the black metal genre. Track for track, it’s one of the heaviest albums in black metal, period. It’s a fucking unhinged sound.

Antichrist was originally supposed to be a fully fleshed-out 8-track album according to Hat in an old metal magazine, but considering how he suddenly departed during the album's production, it was cut down in an impromptu way. Something tells me Hat's disappearance has something to do with creative differences with Infernus (the latter has admitted in interviews that he's hard to work with) and just personal reasons that many still speculate about to this day. The same thing happened with Pest during the production of Destroyer. Considering how Pest would be fired in 2012 when he was doing a poor job of keeping up with touring schedules and was replaced by Hoest, I think that might have been the reason why he left in 1997 during Destroyer's production. Needless to say, I think him coming back for Quantos possunt was an amazing comeback. I have mixed opinions on Gaahl (he's not nearly as awful as King), I think Incipit Satan, A World to Win and Unchain My Heart are great and An Excerpt of X has grown on me over the years. The rest of it is either complete garbage or instantly forgettable. I appreciate the editing at 10:54, Twilight of the Idols is really just bad, especially by Gorgoroth standards.
The first black metal song I ever heard was Rebirth, and I fell in love instant! The whole album is a masterpiece. The atmosphere, vocals, and Infernus's riffs was so amazing! Now I mostly listen to black metal daily, thanks for Gorgoroth 🤘My favourite song is Krig 2011 version. The atmosphere, coldness and how it sounds perfect as listened at winter. It also reminds me of old Finnish children song called ''Mörri-Möykky'' which lyrics tells about trolls and nature.
A biased guy trying to appeal to the edgy black metal purists by praising the albums they all love without much of explaining and bashing the stuff the purists hate. Commentary is basically "It's just the best/shit". It's pretty ironical how Black metal fans are listening to music which message is not being the sheep, but they are the biggest sheep herd as a community, kissing each other's asses and acting like they know what is good and bad. And top of all that, they call the people they deem unworthy, as posers. Calling Gaahl a poser? Go try that in front of his face. And I've met Gaahl and he's a very friendly dude and I'd never go fuck around with him like that. He's also good friends with all the artists you like as he's part of Norwegian Black Metal circles and other well-known BM musicians support him, like Emperor'd Faust, members of Mayhem etc. Are they posers too? Gaahl is, you like it or not, a prominent figure in BM scene and excellent singer. A poser making a video where he's calling others posers. Who would've guessed.

He’s an animal that relies on reverb to sound even acceptable. His antics and personality is what got him attention - the definition of a poser. Musically he’s bang average and he is just unable to reach the really animalistic cries of hat and pest. I don’t really care for the politics of the band or the egos of its members but as far as the music is concerned, ghaal has less than 10% of the ability of his predecessors and successors and so had to use post production to mask his shortcomings. He’s not bad, he can scream, but just nowhere as well as he makes himself out to be.

I have to rely on a schedule that consists of a verity of quality of discogs, length of discogs, and my opinions on the band. If i did nothing but bands I love it would be boring as hell. Also i do about 10 black metal bands every year during the winter. I randomly selected about 10 bands using some verity and Dissection wasn't chosen. The first two albums are classic especially the second one, but the last one is not that good.

Thumbs up! Under The sign of hell, is absolutely one of my favorite black metal albums! So great vocals. Pest was and looks insane, one of the amazing vocalists of black metal. But for Gaahl, in my opinon, he should have stayed with the band Trelldom, he was so amazing with this band, one of my fave black metal bands in that time i admit, and sounded so much more emotional and sorrowfull, the screams and so on. He had his own identity with that band, amazing voice there, one of the best. But what happened after that, he screwed up. Didn´t sound like him self anymore. He just didn´t fit with Gorgoroth! Not his style.
i don’t like how on bloodstains the circle from under the sign of hell 2011 the vocals are all black metal and instead of pests cleaner yelling on the original 97 release. all in all its still pretty great.

there's a few songs in their earlier years that have a clanky drum sound that i just love it sounds like he's hitting a muted trashcan lid and its fantastic anyway infernus is a maestro if gaahl and king would have just went with his writing maybe that era would have been better i mention gorgoroth to people and the second they start talking you can tell they don't know anything except the gaahl era when quantos came out it had to be the all-time comeback album along with varg's belus those two albums marked returns of sounds i never expected to hear again in my lifetime anyway great channel im going to watch the sargiest video now

Check out Quantos Possunt and Instinctus Beastialis, if you take the few good songs on Destroyer and compose more in the same style you will have these later post-Gaahl albums.

He plays it while we’re hanging out, not my kind of music. Alice In Chains is my favorite band and I also play guitar covers of them but getting back to my original point I don’t get your issue with him and why it even came up with my buddy and I after watching your TH-cam review..
pest is using the same technique maniac used but better executed. I teach extreme vocals and he's got that scream down. It's the same technique the emo bands use.

Atterigner and Hoest are two different people.
Hoest is the live vocalist, Atterigner sings in the albums only, cause he's stuck in Serbia with Tupac.
Crushing the scepter is my favorite song of Gorgoroth. It brought my right away to BM at the age of 13.

Personally, the king era is my favorite era. It's cliche now, but at the time it was fantastic. Gorogorth has been pretty forgetful before and since.
