- This is a remake of one of my oldest videos. I fixed a lot of the issues with it, but I also added some jokes and removed unnecessary scenes. Like with Operation Krabby Patty, let's pretend this was the original video the whole time.

I'm kinda surprised that they made Patrick travel with SpongeBob instead of keeping him more on the background, because he ends up storming of at the beginning of every chapter. He disappears in chapters 2 and 4 but also isn't relevant or helpful in 3. It's too obvious how they tried to get rid of him but with a slightly differently written overall plot this issue could easily have been prevented.
It's very interesting to see how other writers handle the show's universe, with SpongeBob's grandma's behaviour, SpongeBob's poster of Sandy, etc. And there's reused artwork serving different purposes such as the Nasty Patty being "just" an old Krabby Patty. SpongeBob's character is also more snarky, especially in The Movie.
Maybe a future video idea for you could be to talk about this kind of stuff? AWE Games' vision and handling of the show, their "lore", them liking Kelp Forest and the Dutchman, a compilation of their kind of (mature) jokes, and you can use examples from the whole PC game series.

The atoll that we see above Bikini Bottom is located in the Marshall Islands, which is often used a test site for nuclear bombs. Obviously, the theory of the Bottomites being mutants created by these nukes has been debunked by Stephen Hillenburg himself, but I like to think that it might be true. Therefore, it’s probably safe to say that the Marshallese fish are far different from regular fish in other parts of the globe.
As a non-English speaker, I used to think that the umbrella-parasol stuff was part of the English-American (vocabulary) differences, but it seems like a parasol is just meant for the sun and an umbrella for rain. 😅

That's a good idea! I unlisted them because I didn't want people stumbling across them instead of the remakes, but I can definitely do that!
I kinda feel like Employee of the Year may have been the original intended title for the game but then maybe Nick's marketing team thought it'd be better to name it after an existing episode title.

This game is like one of my earliest memories, I feel like all the sound effects and voice lines are burned into my brain
I still remember playing this game when I was very young, and I still have good memories of this game, and It's nice to see when someone mentions this game
Even though it's been ~17 years since I've played it I remember the 4th act of this game having a gorgeous color scheme, looks like autumn if my memory serves. Good review, thanks for bringing this game up, as it was my first Spongebob game on PC.
I bought this at my schools Scholastic Book event and whenever I got to Rock Bottom I would get scared

Man I had this and played through it like 10 times, I adored this game
In the future, you should cover the other games AWE has to offer! case in point, the PC version of Bratz Rock Angelz! a lot of Bratz fans are well aware of the console version but don't know a lot of the PC version which is a point & click adventure game mixed with a mini game compolation.

I played this game a lot of as a kid. I thought SpongeBob worked really well in a point and click style like this. It felt like you were playing through an episode of the show. An admittedly rough feeling episode, but an episode none-the-less. Even though looking back the game really isn't all that great, I still have a soft spot for it and its sister point and click games.
5:20 I seem to recall at least 1 time where Mr Krabs (and I mean voiced by Clancy Brown) pronounced it that way, can’t recall where though

I watched the original video not that long ago.
It didn't seem to have any problems
A few people in the comments told me they couldn't hear the sound in it. It seemed like it came out way too quietly on most devices. I didn't notice it at first because it sounded okay on my phone, but listening to it on a desktop was a different story.
