This is the one I grew up with. I did often get lost or stuck in some levels but I just associate that memory with the rush I felt when I finally made progress. I remember being so excited when the Dutchman's ship appeared. BTW the Plankton boss can be cheesed. The rafter in the top left corner can be stood on and if you shoot from there, his claw can't reach the bubble in time to block it so you land the hit everytime, and the trajectory of the lasers misses that area too.
I remember playing this while digging through an Easter Basket full of candy as a kid, in fact I'd say I remember this one more fondly than the console one.
It’s a little ways a head, but I gotta say I’m looking forward to hearing you discuss The Yellow Avenger. It’s usually considered the best SpongeBob 2-D platformer, as it was done by the veteran team who did several of the GBA games, and it had a larger budget due to being a standalone game instead of a port. Plus the PSP version gave them extra power to work with. It’s open world with some RPG elements too, really fun. But…in a similar vein to ROTFD it missed its full potential due to being rushed. It has a ton of bugs and errors that slipped through the cracks(to the point a website that tracks game glitches and errors put it as the second glitchiest game of all time, behind Pokemon Red Green and Blue), like text errors, the water ball being usable before Patrick teaches it to you, issues if you do things out of order, and a game breaking bug near the end of the game involving being unable to get pickles. Also they just straight up ran out of time to make the bosses. So instead of 5 we have 2 and a half.
(Continued: Originally each Act was to end with a boss against one of the villains, but due to time constraints Sinister Slug and Atomic Flounders fights were cut and instead you just scare them off. Also each of the 5 fights were to involve you using the power up of that stage…and then they ran out of time and just based them all on Manray fight) Also they programmed the game to not save completing the final boss so you can re-do the fight. Cool! Except they forgot to account for that in the save data so you are forever stuck at 99% completion, and this caused some insane rumors back in the day
Tbh I absolutely loved this version when I was younger as I didn't have a PS2 or GameCube so this was the only one I got. But I got it in a double pack with supersponge. Loved both games.
Oh I remember that game, it was fun. Unfortunately I made a video where I titled it New Nicktoons Game Idea… which is just retarded as it’s just me plagiarizing an idea for an already existing game.
I remember that game from 2012. It had a weird mix of then-current Nicktoons like Winx Club and Fanboy and Chum Chum and older ones like Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, and My Life as a Teenage Robot.
This is purely visual, but I'm not a fan of the weird art style for some of the characters, including SpongeBob. But he does look fine for that short animation where he grabs a key. The backgrounds do look nice.
My experience with this game isn’t the greatest as I’ve never liked this version as much as the GameCube version. However a cool fun fact about this game is that it shares some remixed music from legend of the lost spatula.
This is the version that i have with SuperSponge GBA Soundtrack: 9.5/10 - Faithful to the actual show, using the GBA's soundchip in a very good way. Jellyfish Fields and the Carnival both use renditions of the show's soundtrack (Heat & Gator) Gameplay: 10/10 - Movement is really good, it's not annoying, slow or buggy, the Bubble Abilities are also pretty good. Coin Collecting: 1/10 - After the first area, be prepared to collect all of them, it's a mess and a nightmare to deal with in this game. Bosses: 5/10 - Some are good, some are bad, still alright. Challenges: 6/10 - Some are brutal but are fun.

It's interesting that Rock Bottom appears in so many SpongeBob games!
it was one of the more iconic locations from season 1 so it makes sense.
Rock Bottom also has parts never shown in the actual show, especially in Employee of the Month video game.
@@andykishore it’s called creativity. Can you stop obsessing over stages that don’t appear in the show please?
Fun fact: that sprite of SpongeBob in those MUGEN Fighting Games you play on the internet back in the day.
5:31 As someone who works at an Outback, I can confirm, we are incredibly sick of steakhouses 😅

I just remembered another Nick crossover Flash game you could take a look at: Super Mini Puzzle Heroes, which is essentially Nickelodeon’s Puyo Puyo.
It was more Super gem fighter

@@andykishore yeah it's literally half of the roster for Nickelodeon from All Star 1 and 2 brawl
Hoping Luci likes the fact that Bloom and Dark Bloom are in it, heh.
Krabby patty pie sounds pretty good tbh
Funny you post this of all days. Today is February 15th, aka Annoy Squidward Day.
I feel joy whenever you upload. I always look forward to your videos. Can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned for your next video.

Can’t wait for you to check out the gba version of creature from the krusty krab (or in antdude’s case breature from the krusty krab)
Really want to see an vid on the Nicktoons Unite series

0:47 yeah the they made a ton a ton of Spider-Man games around the same time
Ooo a SpongeBob evening event!❤️
Man you are so witty, the clever references are so well done.
“Because they’re getting sick of steak houses”
LUCI 😤
YOO earliest I've been to your videos!!

The expressive handheld version!
The fact, TH-cam pushes the people who scream and shout and obnoxious editing and not your channel is a crime
🎶the Dutchman’s treasures!🎵🥳
I was waitin for this
Cool!! 0:05
Guys, I think Luci has Trypophobia
This is going to be a odd request but please do the buzz on Maggie online games
[obligatory pointless early comment]
LOL.
I was not expecting the surprise Elgin joke
