Thanks for watching. It's great to have the Anvera back alongside Loon. Steve, Alex and the whole crew did a great job making this video and preparing the Chase Boat for the summer season.
Oh, and Steve, bloody great videography mate. This was a marked improvement. The shot with Wild Thing passing Loon is perfect. In fact most of it was pretty damn close to perfect. Whatever you did over the break, back to school or hard in a book, it worked.
Absolutely epic watch guys. Love the video. Captain Paul is such a great teacher, epic drone shots from Steve plus special shout out to Chief Engineer Alex, awesome knowledge.. good teaching. Thanks Team ⛴️👍🎉❤️
So many people would have simply arrived, jumped in, started the engines and, putting their trust in the yard, driven away. What was detailed in this video is how I would expect people to care for equipment if it were mine. I treat other people's (whether they be clients or friends) gear like I own it and can't afford any extra bills this month and that's what I see here. Totally professional and on the ball, nice work guys. As for the two chase boats, no competition. On big boats, Inboard diesels win every time for me unless it's an outright speed machine and if it is, inboard petrol FTW. While outboards have their place, I don't see the sense in hanging several tons and several hundred thousand dollars off the transom. And yeah, those big V8 Yanmars sound awesome and weigh very little. 740HP isn't a lot to move a boat that size that quickly but as you said the power to weight is great and Anvera spared no expense in shaving every last gram off the displacement. As you know, EVERYTHING on board is lightweight not just the hull. Everything from the interior to the helm chairs was selected with weight in mind. For a Med (or Florida, or Queensland) based luxury day boat with a good turn of speed, they can't be beaten.
Steve, Alex and definitely CPC great video. yeah I love the 48' Anvera. I hope Alex got right to fixing the issue to the front power issue. Steve the video photography was ACE. CPC nice hair cut and narrating on this video. Looking forward to next video and next live which I hear is coming up pretty soon
Some tender is that little baby of the Loon!!! Most people would be more than happy to tear around in that, let alone stepping on board the Loon herself! Nice photography too fellas!
Hi Captain Paul another great video and very nice day to pick up Anvera nice Yacht remind me my boat a Chapparal 32' I had 2 mercruiser 450hp each it was fantastic thanks again for your video and I can't wait when I see you with your nice black polo Loon to buy not one but 2 and and a baseball cap too it will be a honor and pride to wear these have a excellent day to all of you on the Loon I'm looking forward to your next video.💥💥💥💥💥💥⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
Absolutely awesome ( pre checks) She's a beauty! ( Well except the dyslexic thruster props 😂 ) Alex going to swap a wire or reinstall props? Inquiring minds ya know... Thanks as always for sharing
I would have loved to see the seating arrangement for this boat. How many passengers do you carry at once with this? Will have to see if I can figure it out with other videos I guess.
Love watching your videos. My dad used to have a charter sailboat company in St John. haven't been around yachts in many years. Never been to the Med, Like seeing all the different locations. i will never be on a super yacht so watching these give me the satisfaction of seeing one. Of course I am more interested in the piloting and engine room. just wondering do you have a sea anchor onboard just in case?
They certainly do not have a chute! That thing is only for sail boats! Loon is basically a ship, and a very fragile one! ..as any super-yachts out there. Just short jumps between ports and islands. Never out in a storm! Much less battling the North or the Bering Sea!
I hadn’t seen this before, but I need one! Way nicer than the tired old I backpack that we keep our boat papers and other essentials (all in zip-loc bags) in.
Loon, hey mum, bady Loon is back. Got a bow thrusters thing to sort Yea you ou see i got a dyslexic bow thingie. But with a little love and Alex and the bow thruster will be sorted.
Was it called Wild Thing? Looking at the stern you can barely see what looks like where a sticker had been. I love the sound of a nice Diesel engine better as well.
Why the difference in oil levels if just serviced? That must be a good morning at the office, giving the chase boat a bit of a test drive and checking it’s all serviceable (or a joyride?)? I hope you had your top gun moment buzzing loon (fly co, this ghost rider, just entered traffic pattern, requesting flyby of the tower” - “negative ghost rider, the pattern is full”.) - Paul laughing and Alex going “er, skipper, is there something I should know”. Just hope there weren’t any admirals daughters nearby!
Does it fit inside the Loon? Or are you going to tow it across the Atlantic every season change? Seems like it would be better to just buy 2 and keep one in both places? The Loons billionaire owner could keep 10 in each ocean and not notice the cash missing
Cool , 5 months out on the hard , busy boatyard , hate to think of the monthly rate :-) let alone all the ' tidies' :-) just in and out must be a few $$ :-)
Enjoyed this vid. How long did Alex need prior to powering up the Anvera after it was in the water? Did all his checks on the engines and hydraulics take 1 hour or 3 hours???
Not too long at all. Carried out a few checks on the engines prior to starting up, then the rest of the tests were nice and quick and some I did on the way back to loon.
This chase boat gives a whole new meaning to B.ust O.ut A.nother T.housand. In this case BOAT(T) stands for Bust Out Another Ten Thousand. My gawd the maintenance on this thing alone would cripple me.
So the engines have just been serviced one engine just over half full of engine oil on the dipstick and the other engine about three quarters full on the other dipstick if that was me I would be getting the people who serviced the engines back and tell them to fill the oil to the correct oil levels again good vid

Anything is possible however it’s not recommended for the following reasons: - no insurance for the tow - wear and tear on the chase boat - extra drag to Loon means higher fuel burn and higher wear on main engines. - unable to run full speed away from pressure systems if needed. - chances of breaking the tow line are high. - put crew lives in danger if the tow separates and try to recover it. Because of this it’s easier to either ship it or have 2 boats.

I had thought you woukd get some TH-cam charter yacht friendship from M/Y King Benji but they apparently abandoned their channel now. Wild Thing.
I love your channel by the way. 👌👌👌
A 💯% class act that never disappoints. Many thanks for always bringing a 😄 to my face and always at the right time. 🤗
Looks like you had a lot of fun that day! You are a true leader. Many want to be a boss, but a leader is someone that people love to follow.
This has been fun to see the 'big kid' inside you. Blatting the chase boat around and being abit of a hoolie for once Captain
Love seeing Yanmar. Those guys are old school cool. They’ve been building engines as long as anyone.
Alex really is the most important person on Loon.
Is this Alex's secret account? lol
This is Alex's world, we all are just living in it, 😂!
And I noticed he's looking quit lean and muscled up
Being an ex marine engineer I can categorically say the chief engineer and the cook are 2 people you do not want to fall out with🤣🤣
Haha!! you lot will make me blush!
Refreshing to see the double checks after a servicing.. the crew is ultimately responsible.. awesome lifestyle share
I absolutely love this channel. I can see why Loon is a much sought after charter. Can't wait to see this Med season get underway

Agree.... actually I've noticed on the crossing the other crew are becoming great educators also
Another Awesome little Video. That Anvera is such a sleek looking boat. Keep up the great work guys.
It really seems to capture the vibe of the Med, the same way the HCB is sporty like the Caribbean.

Thanks Captain Paul and crew. Another super fun video of things I will never be able to do myself. Stellar stuff mates!
I have zero knowledge about a yacht. I do know the crew of loon are impressive. Great people very good at there job. Thanks for taking us along
Another awesome video. I plan on booking a charter on Loon soon. I am just looking for someone to accompany me and pay for the whole thing.😅
Anvera is back!!!! WOOOHOOO!!! ONE DAY I shall journey on that!!! Cheers Loonatics!
And my Yachtness, the Anvera looks amazing!

hey Randy, it was just a simple reversed wire. easy fix once we got back to Loon 🤙
Fantastic
I love the Anvera, great looking boat. Do you ever use its beach club?

Have to manage the waves of Georgian Bay to the Ojibway Club
Love this! Great content, guys!
good day 🎉

oh, the boat looks good too! 😎🕶

I can still read "Wild thing" on the back of the chase boat. If they painted over a decal you will see it forever.
Wild Thing is the tenders name.. We used ghost decals as we were required to put a name on it.

Just saw majestic Loon passing by from Imperia towards Monaco. Happy 4th of July everyone!💥 🎇 🧨
Happy 4th 🎆
Hey ! would you explain why there is no Toroidal propeller on the boat ? Because it's more efficent no ? ⛽🔋
All good, and profesional as always, but apart of the salaries and tips is there a patreon account for supporting the crew? Incredible
Cute back pack Captain Paul 😉

Why is the starboard startup switch on the left? Would think that should be the point ignition.
Really fun video.

Was the chase boat christened "Wild Thing"? Time stamp 1:42 Lettering above the engines.
Curious, why all (mostly) black on the Anvera? doesnt it suffer from heat soak in the sun? i.e. to hot to touch tubes etc etc?
No not really and it goes well with Loons color scheme
