What a truly brilliant conversation! As an Aussie , extremely proud that Paul is so down to earth (as he should be!😂) and has done so well for himself. Really like his emphasis on the crew and their importance to the overall experience. Fantastic Nick, WELL DONE!! 👍👍👍🇦🇺🙏
Brilliant converation, I totally get what Paul means about missing Birthdays, deaths etc as I've faced all that whilst on rotation. As he says the upsides beat the downsides. The crew becoming family is very true as well. He's summed up life at sea very very well.👍🏴
Thank you Nick and Paul, seeing such a down to earth humble guy talking about a world that for most people is so out of reach was inspiring. The wife and I are now Loon subscribers and loving the content, it’s done in such a way that after watching one video the crew feel like friends…
What a great chat! So you both know... haven't missed a video yet! Following loon since her purchase and Nick, well Nick, since Maggie was but a wee hand clutch! Glad you two got together for this what a great watch!
Nick, I have to say your interview videos are always very informative and interesting. Not every yacht channel can say this. Thank you for doing them the way you do. You make them very personable. No one does it like Nick!
Nice to see a South Pacific person in charge of the Super yatch Loon captain Paul. She's a magnificent piece of engineering, i.e., in structure and built with efficiency in mind. Thanks Nick for the interview and the views on M/Y Loon.
That was great! Thank you both :) As far as "Below Deck" (which I've never seen) shining a light on the industry... personally I think that you all's TH-cam channels, in particular Loon and previously Superyahct Captain, shines a much better and truer light on it. So much information and motivation for people who might be interested in joining as crew.
I’m a true follower of the Loon however I’m not only enjoying your work I watched many and I mean many of your videos that I just had to follow aquaholic as well I just love it from Texas
Really enjoyed watching you two have a good chat. Didn’t feel like a formal interview, more just two decent people enjoying a chat about boating. Brilliant
What a great interview! Thank you Paul for taking the time and being so honest and professional and thank you Nick for bringing Loon and Captain Paul to our screens! These meet the crew/meet the owners videos are so interesting and insightful! Thank you both once again!
Was great to see you sit down and ask questions that paul answered so well, great interview, love both channels (and ninas) looking forward to seeing what the new loon is going to be.
Very much enjoyed this as a compendium to the greatest yacht tour to date, Sir! The Captain from my viewing of the "Loon" channel supplies this yacht with direction through his personable actions. The type and or kind of Captain I would relish. I would command my needs to him and then no more discussion; he would get to it safely for all the souls on board and factor in the safety for the yacht. Very impressed with this personable human. Again Sir bravo...
I miss read the heading and thought it was meet the owner, I nearly fell off my seat when I noticed you and Capt. Paul sitting there. Bloody brilliant, well done Nick, Ive been watching you for years, these last 2 videos are the best, along with the Sunseeker 131 video. Good luck getting onto the new Yacht.
An interview with Craig about Loon and superyacht ownership in general would certainly be interesting but I'm not holding my breath waiting for that one.
That was brilliant Nick. You have some very intelligent subscribers, asking relevant questions. Very refreshing. You can tell why Paul is such an accomplished super yacht captain. 😎👍
Capt. Paul Clarke is the personation of this Superyacht endeavor.... He is very likable and a professional as well. A very good conversation that also really reflects the episodes of their own YT channel. It is always okay to have fun, as long as the job is done. Thank you Nick - yet another "it's a wrap"......
love the video nick , thank you ,, just loving this video ,, honestly 2 of my fav you tube channels,, love watching loon and your channel, so interesting,, nice to see paul answer questions,, learned alot of things i always wondered about ,, thank you so much ,, take care,,
What an eye opener🎉 ❤ only 12 passengers,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,does that mean they’d tolerate a couple of stowaways for a couple of days,,,,,,,,,,,weeks ,,,,,,,,,months ,,,,,,,,, even years😮 swabbing the decks never looked so inviting😂 What an absolutely amazing interview,,,, two great personalities & a great insight into life in the big league of super yachts, will be going back to watch your other TH-cam captains that I haven’t watched yet,!,, BRILLIANT NICK👍
It's 12 because any more than that and you step up into a much more rigorously controlled class of vessel, much like going over 500 GRT (a measure of internal volume).
Hey Nick, Another great video and so interesting as was the best tour. Really love watching your videos, they are always informative and really interesting and we get to see the inside of boats we otherwise wouldn't. Keep up the great work Nick.
This was fascinating Nick. He’s an impressive man who didn’t just work his way up- He made things happen. Dealing with employees…HR can suck the life out of you. 😊. It’s so interesting to hear about the lifestyle. ❤️😊
Hi Nick / Paul i follow both channels, both of your channel are great that, Nick gives perspective on the different yachts / prices/ accommodation etc, but Paul your channel gives a great insight if you were wealthy enough to charter an amazing vessel, i also follow the chef, i must say she is talented and turns out amazimg food, so big up to you all for your brilliant vids, kerp it up and cant wait for more installments 👍
Thanks Nick, enjoyed the chat with Paul and the yacht tour. Interested to see “Loon”moored next to “Bold” which was built in Western Australia close to the home ground of Paul’s team, the Dockers. No doubt a Aussie crew catch up on the dock. Take care!
That was a really great video. Thanks to both of you. I grew up sailing and have skippered several bareboat sailing charters so it was excellent to hear all the info that Nick and Captain Paul discussed. Thanks again!
I wasn't sure of it watching this as it was 45 minutes long but I'm so glad I did, such an insight as I've been watching MV Loon for such a long time, thanks for posting…
As Paul said the HR side would be the hardest. I worked in the Ski Industry where you work and play with all the employees and are often friends. I found it very hard when you had to discipline someone.
Nick an absolute fantastic interview with CPC. The question's you put forward to CPC were bang on. The answer's you received well they'll do.lol. I've been following MY LOON and the LOONIES for a couple years. Of coarse the $$$ situation chartering MY LOON is well above my pay grade watching them kind of makes you feel part of the Charter. Again Nick as your Yacht tours and this interview 10 out of 10 fanatstic CHEERS MATE
Great interview Nick, some very interesting questions and answers. Really like these type of videos you do, keep them coming. I use to think you had the best job but now maybe its Captain Paul.
Most stressful tasks for a captain - IMO (1) paperwork, (2) rules and regulations for crew and the boat. (3) Keeping the crew motivated and harmonist relationships between the crew members.(4) Planning for Mediterranean and Caribbean chapters, plus the voyages back and forth across the Atlantic. Are the most important items to me.
Thanks Nick! It was great to have you onboard and be able to sit down with you for this interview looking forward to the next one. 🛥️🍻
Great to see you on Nick's channel Paul after watching you on the MYL channel over the summer!
Thank you for your time Paul, I really enjoyed it! 🙂
Great job guys, really interesting and honestly answered questions Paul.
Thanks Captain, that was very interesting :)
The perfect yacht is sitting at Feadship right now, it's even got the right color 😄
What a truly brilliant conversation! As an Aussie , extremely proud that Paul is so down to earth (as he should be!😂) and has done so well for himself. Really like his emphasis on the crew and their importance to the overall experience. Fantastic Nick, WELL DONE!! 👍👍👍🇦🇺🙏
I'm glad that you enjoyed it 🙂
It seems like Aussies are the best for being laid back but still getting sh*t done and running a tight ship. 🇦🇺
I follow Loon on TH-cam and Paul is a fantastic captain. Motivates and has fun with his crew whilst giving the guests a holiday of a life time.
Brilliant converation, I totally get what Paul means about missing Birthdays, deaths etc as I've faced all that whilst on rotation. As he says the upsides beat the downsides. The crew becoming family is very true as well. He's summed up life at sea very very well.👍🏴
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Thankyou Nick and a very special thank you to Paul for a lovely interview on M/Y LOON.
