From my experience one cannot always assume it's interracial as the reason for stares. Goodlooking couples get stares; couples who are completely vibing with each other get stares; couples who are completely "head over heels" in love with each other get stares; couples who are looking sharp, dress wise get stares; and of course interracial couples who look good together get stares. It's NEVER "the nasty" when two people truly care about and love each other. Love and familiarity causes married couples to want to share themselves with the other more often.
