    I’ve never seen a Bengali with an Arab. Most Bengalis are very homogenous. They don’t accept interracial marriage. I hope you guys find happiness. At the end of the day, we are Muslim and it’s not hard to learn another language or culture, but it can cause problems with families.

      If Bengalis knew their own history they would know we are NOT a homogeneous ethnic group. People of Bangladesh are actually genetically mixed with many different groups of ethnicities that came and settled and intermixed in the Bengal delta.
      Bangladeshi people are mixed with Tibeto-Burmese, Dravidian, Aryans, Polynesian and once Islam was introduced Central Asian Turks, Mongols, Persians, East Africans, Arabs from Yemen/Iraq and Afghan Pashtuns/Tajiks settled and intermixed in Bangladesh primarily in the Sylhet region.

      @@EmannTehaili There are also many Arabs from Mecca, Medina and Yemen in Hadhramaut who have Bengali ancestry from Scholars, merchants, warriors and Hajji's who travelled from Bengal to those lands and settled there in ancient times.

    Just a curious question what happen to your culture, language and traditions. What will happen when your future generations won’t be able to communicate with your parents or relatives. And as a immigrant I still speak my mother language so English is mostly spoken when I am working how I am suppose to speak it all day with my partner. 😉

      All ethnic groups (Arabs, South Asians, Pacific Islanders and Latin Americans and even some south East Asians) are part black themselves. Including this guy in the video. Arabs tend to be of Subsaharan African stock whilst South Asians, Southeast Asians and Pacific Islanders are of Australo-Melanesian (Black asiatic) stock. Latin Americans can be both Australo-Melanesian and Subsaharan African due to the history.

      Why huh? We are Bengalis we got our own unique heritage, say that to the Lebanese themselves, they tend to stick to their own, and have also been known to say a lot of racist things themselves, even to the Gulf arabs themselves they are racist. They don't even accept Syrians or Palestinians either who racially the same as them.

    • @ilh656
      @ilh656 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They can be accepting but I don't think they should be desperate like 90% + of British Bengali and Bengali American kids. The kids are actually worse than the parents - they are highly racist and colorist. Desperate to marry light skinned Pakistanis or Arabs (never Black people) and quick to hate their own Bengali culture (in their view speaking Urdu will allow you to go to heaven). Most Bengali kids these days actively hate Bengali people and culture and in their view the Prophet (PBUH) did not include Bengalis in his last sermon.

    Asalam Wa Alaykoum sis.
    Hmm I'd have to disagree on a few points. I'm a divorcee and I remarried in my 30s.
    My husband is Mauritian and I'm Moroccan. I would advice everyone to speak to the parents waaaaay before you meet anyone. Being opem, transparent and not transgressing the limits of Allah.
    I have so much to say on this topic from the amount of experince and exposure to those who did things without parents involvement or blessings. I'll have to make a video one day.

    • @EmannTehaili
      @EmannTehaili  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Salam Sis, hope you are well. I do not think we disagree on anything here. If you refer back to the video, from minute 6:22 and onwards, you'll find that we spoke about alerting the family from young and before meeting anyone. I am sure you will agree, however, that in most Asian families it is challenging to be open and transparent and if you are, you are not taken very seriously. Our video is for those who have already found someone that they are interested in marrying and need the support and confidence to speak to their families.

    I am a black African Muslim, for me, I can say there's extensive racism among Muslims, especially white Arab Muslims. I am saying this because I experienced it when I wanted to marry a white arab Muslim girl, this thing is really and they don't care that I am Muslim, they refuse to marry that girl because I am black. I will never forget this in my life. I have seen this in my fellow black Muslims when they wanted to marry an arab Muslim girl. Arabs are our fellow Muslims but trust me or not they are very racist to black Muslims. DO YOUR RESEARCH. InshaAllah ALLAH knows

    • @EmannTehaili
      @EmannTehaili  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Racism is prevalent in all races and cultures. It sucks that you had to experience it. I had a similar experience as an Arab. Don’t let that discourage you from finding your one. There are a lot of mixed raced marriages and you’ll see black and white Muslims together all the time. I wish you luck.

    Bengali people should learn to accept others. That is a big problem even now among the Bengali community. But its hard to blame them, the thing is Bangladesh is an extremely homogenous society and Bengali people being extremely homogenous even by blood. They will rather accept a Bengali Hindu, Christian or even Buddhist rather than a Muslim from different ethnicity. Hopefully it will change in the future.

    • @EmannTehaili
      @EmannTehaili  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @incrediblehulk8031
      @incrediblehulk8031 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah yeah, your comment is destructive and disgusting. We are Bengalis and we are proud of who we are, which is why we stick to our own. No I never heard of any case of we will prefer a hindu over a muslim of another ethnicity. Now firstly, lets cut out the hypothetical crap, there are many muslim Bengalis so we can marry within, it is not like us Bengali muslims are a minority. Second of Lebanese people are extremely racist themselves, even to the actual arabs themselves they are. Go on, destroy our unity we have, we always put Islam first yes, but you are acting like we have to disregard everything altogether.

    • @ilh656
      @ilh656 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a damn lie. Bengalis Muslims are more accepting of their child marrying Hindu, Christian etc? You are funny. How does it feel being delusional? The only ones who tend to be accepting of that are secular non practicing Bengalis and they don't tend to be more accepting of that versus, say an Indian Muslim.

    • @almurabitun
      @almurabitun 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @peialali680
      @peialali680 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on how religious the family is. No bengali i know would ever let their children marry another religion because the nikkah is invalid and haram.
