I have a 67. She was abandoned in a field for more than ten years and I just did not get very enthused about her when I first saw her. She was missing a lot of engine parts, had huge snake skins in the cab and engine compartment and trees growing on the bed. I bought her for $200.00. i have fallen in love with my ugly duckling. She is NOT high performance. She is NOT luxury. If you buy a new truck to haul the same load it would cost you $70,000.00 so I smile every time I turn the key and start her up. Finding brake drums for these old trucks is like trying to find a virgin and three wise men in Washington DC. BTW Great Video. Waiting for the next one!!!!
When I was a teenager we had a 67 F600 on the farm for a while. When I was looking for a grain truck a few years ago I really wanted to find one of this vintage. Found this one on Craigslist in central Iowa, bought it and drove it 210 miles home.
Good day Boy truck looks good. No salt on roads? It is raining up here last 3 days, in Ont.Canada & they said rain till Friday. Anyways good luck Thanks
Love the videos and your truck. Questions on your truck. We have one just like it and are looking for a ball bearing now. Any help as to part number or where I can find the part?
we both have JD 3300 combines and now I find out you got a Ford F600. my F600 is a 1973 and has more rust than yours. what do you think of 16 year old tires on an F600 and are your rims the split type?
I have the rims with split rings on the side, not the infamous "widow maker" 2 piece split rims. Luckily the previous owner had just put 3 new tires on it. 16 year old tires might make me a little nervous but if they still look OK, why not?
Nice clean '68!
That truck is solid
I have a 1959 Ford f600 grain truck

That’s a nice truck. They mad real trucks then. Does it have the 360 or 390 in it. Those trucks are easy to work on. Thanks for sharing
Thanks. It has a 330. Very similar to the 360-390 engines, used in medium duty trucks.
@@farmerpete Where are you finding parts? I have a 1972 wood chipper with a 330 in it, and I am looking for basic parts. Beautiful truck!

Thanks. It came from central Iowa. I think whoever has owned it just didn't use it in winter.

Thank you! I've found that C&G Ford Parts is helpful for hard to find parts, that's where I found the cowl-to-heater box boot. Just google them.

you can put 22.5 rims and tires on the dayton style rims.
