Great video. Just picked up a 66 F600 and learning the split rear. These old trucks really are awesome!

We still have a 1967 F600 at my Dad's place. Used it for hauling hay, firewood, and taking cows to the sale barn. Bucking bales on the truck was pretty interesting since the deck is about 5 feet off the ground. Dump bed sure came in handy for unloading wood quickly. Wear earplugs when you're driving it on the highway. I wish I did now.

Thank you for the video. So many memories about riding with my grandpa in one F-700 dump truck of the same era.

Thanks for the ride, man. I enjoyed it. I gotta get me a hula gal for the dashboard of my '67 N700 with a 391 Industrial and a 20' bed. That oughta be room enough!

Cool video. Have a 1964 that's pretty much the exact same setup that I'm in the process of going through. These old trucks are such a blast. Some folks just don't know. Enjoy it!

Sounds like it has an exhaust manifold leak, or leaky doughnut gasket where the exhaust pipe connects to the manifold.

I've been looking at a 1960 f-602 that's being sold around here that's gonna need some work. I love your video and it makes me want to go get it right now.

Nice ride you have there. I had an older ford dump that was a tank. Hate the way all old vehicles grind but it doesn't seem to bother em. Like your hula girl. My dad had one on his arm from the navy. Hula girl got fat when his arms got big. LOL

I bought a 66 F600 in November of 1972 and it had only 22,000 miles on it. still have it with a winch and gin poles. I got too expensive to insure and the Hyd brakes where always needing work and those brake boosters are high dollar. Its got over 160,000 miles on it now. The 330 is worn out. I plan to swap in a 262 six cyl engine from a 61 truck.

Did they ever make any of these old trucks with automatics? If they did, they were very rare.

The two speed rear end can be shifted two ways, one is with the clutch or the gas pedal.

You need a cdl for anything that's used for comersial hauling with a max combined weight of 26,001 pounds ( trailer and truck max gvw combined) mine is at mgvw of 24,000, would only need it if I'm pulling an equipment trailer AND for comersial use.
