I know you have to talk about something else as well otherwise the video will be too short. I’m actually like how this video performs, way better than I expected so most people dont mind me talking too much and keep watching 😆
@@marconikarga hybrid babies. All different colors. Thought they would come out brown. Some white with red spots, others yellow with black spots and red with yellow yellow spots
No that's seed shrimp (Ostacods), I don't have scuds in that tanks, I have them in my cull tank though very difficult to get rid of them as they hiding inside soil
Thanks, man! I'm about to buy an aquarium and I already in love with neocaridina. The man from the store didn't even know about them, so I had to tell and now I know what kind of plants I should put in. Cheers from Brazil!
What type of substrate is that? It looks like fluval, I alway wish I can use fluval for my neos as I like the way I looks and the benefits for my plants but many say it drops ph..
It's Ista shrimp soil, I think Chinese brand. You can use active soil like Fluval in neocaridina tank as long is your water has KH it wont drop PH signifyingly
Great vid! Could you provide a bit more detail about the set up please? specifically, how the pump from main tank into small one works, and how the overflow back to the main tank works. you mentioned sponges etc. but I can't visualize it sorry! (another vid would be ideal, but I'll settle for any help haha. thanks bro!)
It's easy pump pumping water at one end and it drains back to the tank at another end. Unfortunately this tank doesn't exist anymore so I can't make any updates
ostracods. I had them one time in a tank or 2, and did not like it at all, although they are harmless. Why ? When i gave plants or shrimp away, i wanted to give plants or shrimp and not ostracods because people often don't ask for this extra crustacean, but almost impossible to not spread them around when exchanging stuff... Almost impossible to get rid off as well..
I know I'm also not a big fan of ostracods I think a large number of them is a sign of overfeeding. I like copepods though, they are very good sign of healthy microflora
@@ShrimpMania I also have a very large population of ostracods. That may be one of the consequences of trying to grow a lot of biofilm, as I'm not overfeeding any other type of food. Haven't you noticed any type of problem with ostracods and young shrimps? For now mine are breeding very well but I hope they won't disturb my shrimp colony. Thank you for your videos!
@@Ms-zr1dn I only had them in neocaridina tank. I think they need thick layer of soil to thrive and i have thin layer in all my tanks now. They are harmless to baby shrimps
Hello shrimp fans! Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe to support my channel.
How did you make that breeding box above? Tutorial please
They are the same species Neocaridina davidi but different breeds.
your content is unique, but you talk out of the topic way too much, like more than 50% is not about the title of the video

@@marconikarga hybrid babies. All different colors. Thought they would come out brown. Some white with red spots, others yellow with black spots and red with yellow yellow spots
Is that some scuds swimming around the soil in the yellow tank maybe that's why their babies hard to survive?

Brother, I am new to this hobby. Now I have a one and half feet tank with four difference type of neocaridina shrimps. Is it good or bad??
If two different types of neos crossbreed with each other their baby most likely be a colourless wild shrimp
Good tips my friend I enjoyed and subscribed keep up the good work
Thank you Kodar, I will
wicked setup
Thanks!
