I lived in Kenya for four years back in the day. I remember my dad was reposted to Brussels in our second year but we stayed there because... why not? One thing I hate in Kenya is when "Several Kenyans" describe their country as the worst to live in than any other country! They create a feeling of a "certain hell 🔥". Kenyans love your country please, it is the best home ever. Love from DRC. I'll visit once more.
We Kenyans love our country but the politicians and the police really let us down making some pple to hate the country coz of too much corruption and the politicians dividing Kenyans into tribes
@@Anita-fn5cv I was gonna say the same thing 😂 Sisi huongea hivyo jiu-jitsu ya politicians. We say things like that because of politicians, I'm sure most of y'all can relate to having horrible statesmen and women. Other than that, we have a beautiful country and we thank God for that 🙏🏾
America has all the same issues, some of our streets look like very rugged and unkempt. The one difference I think America has, is the corruption. If you had corruption by gov't officials happen against you, you have many recourse. But cross into Mexico and it's completely different. You can't trust any of their police, you don't know if they are on cartel payrolls or not. American police aren't perfect but they are leaps ahead of nearly every other country of our population size and amount of dense cities. Especially in terms of corruption. Use of force is 99% appropriate but there is many interactions and many people and some unsettling events are bound to surface on the internet and be replayed relentlessly. I like Kenya and plan to visit
Sabbatical, Thank you for visiting and loving our country Kenya. I agree 💯% with you that we Kenyan people and leaders need to change how we talk about our own country. We sell alot of negativity and scare away visitors and yet we have one of the best, safest, most beautiful country in the Sub-saharan Africa. I hope every Kenyan sees this and changes. Travel well na Karibu tena kwetu Kenya!

Dude, been watching you for two months and you feel like family. Ngumi bwegze to you too (double fist bump). The KE anthem at the end just summarised a great experience. All the best Tommy.
i loved these kenya adventures!
Times I've been emotional about our national Anthem:
1. When a Kenyan athlete wins a race esp. internationally
2. When Sabbatical pulls it off on me at the end of the vlogVid..
3. When I used to get late to Primary School assembly and hearing it meant there's no way to escape the meeting between my but and an "instrument of behavior correction" traveling at the speed of sound. ..
Ma.bratha.ma.bratha!
😂😂😂
The best national anthem is of Kenya.
Our 🇰🇪 national anthem is out of this world 🌎, it's emotional 😢
Thanks Sabbatical for showcasing Kenya to the world
Marry Kenya be kenyan
As a kenyan, I stop or pause when the Anthem track starts right to when it ends... It also makes me emotional 🇰🇪
This was such a wholesome video yaani. Literally fist-bumped my laptop at the end lol
Man, this is the most emotional video you ever made. Surely Kenyans will miss you too. I'm not Kenyan.
In Sub-Saharan Africa, Kenya is the third richest country in terms of GDP after South Africa and Nigeria. In terms of per capita income Botswana, Namibia, Seychelles, and Mauritius rank higher than Kenya. Kenya, just like any capitalist nation is disadvantaged by high inequality. Kenya is unique, we have tribalism and of course leadership with funny priorities. We can do better as a country. Am a proud Kenyan. Thank you Tommy for your visit to Kenya
Stay safe. Thank you to all Kenyans who made Tommy,s experience here awesome and unforgettable.

Love the content. Rich and honest. I can relate with your experience. So on point!!
Never seen a foreigner cover Kenya so honestly. Kenya has its issues which we are aware of and wish we could change, but the people keep it livable and interesting. Great work Tommy
Kenya looks amazing. We have that in the United States also. Some people will never be happy. Love Tommy’s work. Respect from Miami, brother.
I like Kenya and plan to visit
wow what an emotional ending plus the national anthem to make things spicy. we will miss you in Kenya tommy.
Hey your videos are great.. Keep them coming 😃
any chance you could do a comparison video about Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania/Zanzibar, which aspects you liked the most and least about them and expected costs etc

I remember watching Sabbatical leaving TZ for Uganda. .n praying that for some reason he'd decide to come to Kenya. .. after all the warnings he'd got about Kenya from Tanzanians, I thought was only just be a slight slim chance he'd come. .. and when he finally decided to come, I was overjoyed! A friend even joked that one would be forgiven to imagine either Tommy and I were acquaintances, or that I was sure we'd meet and he'd arknowledge me somehow. .. sadly we didn't even meet. .. but it was still fun to see my country through his lens .. great vlog! I'm HOOKED!
Karibu tena ndugu and asante for such a genuine review. And that corruption thingie, we are ready to sort it out. All we now need is figure out how...
Our cops are obsessed with money and it is sickening even for Kenyans. Anyway, thank you for being the best ambassador for Kenya. It is sad you had to leave.

Tommy, you just did it. You made me shed tears for this video. Please come back.
One thing I openly know about Kenya though is the fact that it's full of creative people...
I think because we live here we take some things for granted, and we have been conditioned to hate our own country. Of course there is alot of corruption going on, but really that is all it boils down to. politics and corruption is like a virus it seeps into the everyday mwananchi. Thank you for reminding me that there is so much to appreaciate about my country. Thank you very much Sabbatical. Promise us you will be back once you hit 1,000,000 subs. And as is custom in kenyan tradition, tell us before you come 🤣
agree, corruption and greed in politics is a cancer that needs to be stopped from spreading to the rest of the body.
