Thanks for this! I'm a beginner and will be getting this bike next year, early spring. I was nervous with the 400 being discontinued, so it's good to know the 500 is beginner friendly. Ride safe!
It goes man. Nothing like a super sport of course. I use mines for deliveries, when commuting on highways I have no problem cruising at 90 and having passing power to 18 wheelers. I'm 5'9 155lbs and it sits comfy for me. Ill be making a 190 mile road trip soon.
i mean bro deadass rode the bike 10 feet and said "much better than the ninja 400 he rode 2 YEARS AGO". I understand that theyll release a bike thats kinda better in some ways, but shit if we being honest its obvious he was shilling to keep attending the kawasaki events. SO audience, please ride one for yourself to truly know, these ninja 500 reviews on yt rn are not up to par.
There isn't enough and none of them reviewing the bike say anything they don't like I've been riding for a long time and I'm a small cc guy these days I ride a ninja 400 and I'm currently in the process of trading for the 500 not because power or anything stupid I like the white color and the seat on the 500 is more comfortable other than that the power increase isn't gonna make crazy difference
@@tjmosher3857 Thanks for posting your comment.I'm really looking at the 400.Not really a high speed guy.More into a daily commuter. No freeway in the commute.
@@tjmosher3857 I picked up the Ninja 500 (non-abs) on April 06. Never ridden the 400 but I had a buddy who rode one said it was good. I only went with the ninja 500 cause it’s newer of course and Kawasaki put some more pep into the torque output at lower rpms. Fastest I’ve done is 113mph. No more needed cause Im not a speed demon. lol. 3rd gear will take you up to 80mph if that gives you an idea of how fast it can get up too. As far as passing power, I have no problem overtaking cars in the city. It’s too easy. Highway riding it’s still comfy. I find myself cruising on highways at 85-90mph still got more than enough to pass 18wheelers. Don’t be afraid to make the bike sing. It loves it.

Looking to buy my first bike ever I ben watching so many videos on all types of sport bikes. I’m 5-8 and I think this ninja 500 will be a perfect fit perfect first bike Oohh yeahhh 🎉
They are so good I bought 2 and also there isn’t upgrades yet but literally all the 400 parts fit them. So I’ve ordered all 400 parts and they fit well. I have the black one base model and the ABS in the glacier white which literally looks grey 😂😂😂….. they are fun to ride for sure.
I got a 08 500r. I loce it. 2 grand and got 16k niles on it. Got Delcavic pipes on it. It sounds awesome the way it pops and baffles downshifting. Ive owned a zx10, zx6, even a zx7 but i gotta say I love my 500 but wish the engine was covered more! Best bukes are kawasakis
Nice review. Nice MC for the cost. Question.......Why do you not put this Kawasaki 500cc in neutral gear when you stop for more that 5 seconds? You hold in the clutch lever in when stopped?
I ride a MT-09, excelent bike, but sometimes I feel that "small" engines is easier to take risks, so I've been considering the Kawa 500. The only thing I don't like is that it has conventional front forks. Not sure if this bike is a canyon carver or not. The Duke 390 is a much better bike, but little pricey.
trying to find used motorcycles for good prices on ebay and facebook is impossible the people selling are delusional saw a guy listing a used ninja 500 for 7k and was firm on that price
My kid just bought a brand new one and he hates it, it’s gutless, vibrates, mis-shifts, check engine light comes on, abs light comes on, red oil light comes on and it drinks oil.
They only made the 500, which is really a 451 and not a true 500, to compete with the CFMOTO 450SS, but the CFMOTO is still much better. Ninja 400 needed an update, so I guess this is the best Kawi could do on a budget. LOL CFMOTO has better tech and a better warranty.
This will be my first motorcycle.
me too
Same
im not gonna lie, same.
i’ve been looking to get one lately and as a starter I think this is the bike i’d go for
me too.
In the process now

this guy. yes, lets compare a 500 to an H2 while we're at it.
Just got mine 2 days ago red and black
Looks cool!👍
What GoPro you using?
wait why did you turn a key???????? mine is proximity with a key fob... i want a KEY!!!!
You may have the SE model
how are the vibrations on the handlbars? I heard the z500 is notorious for having really bad vibrations!
like none
I’m thinking which one should I get, Kawasaki Ninja 500 or Yamaha r7 2024??? What are y’all’s opinions?
if its your first bike/you're a beginner, then i'd say start off with a bike that doesnt have too much power. i'd say the ninja 500. :)
R3 yahama would be a better comparison when looking at a ninja500
