I took it touring very long distances many many times and I don't get neck or shoulder pain even compared to a kawasaki concours 14, which is a sport touring. Have you rode the ninja 400? I currently have a 23 KRT 400 but wondering if it worth the swap/upgrade? I do like the 4RR but I can’t justify the cost and also have no need for a 600 super sport
I agree with Ray, keep your 400, my son has the same bike as you & it’s an awesome bike for street riding or track days, perfect amount of power, now if you want to jump up to a supersport, that’s a different story. The 500 is really not much better or faster than the 400.
See, I do like the small upgrades that they did do to the bike But overall, just not sure if it’s really worth it and unfortunately, in my case, yes I do want the zx6r but sadly, the cost of insurance is just too much for me right now hence why I’m sticking with the smaller displacement for the time being. Eventually, I do plan to keep the smaller bike overall and convert it to track only
Thank you for the review! I’m actually in Dallas and I found this exact bike at the Plano dealership haha I definitely am sold on this bike to start off
It's a slight upgrade to the Ninja 400, but not worth trading in a Ninja 400 for it. If you have a Ninja 400 like I do, installing the graves velocity stacks will increase your power by 6% all for $130.
Do you think this bike is beginner friendly? Ive always been interested in learning to ride, mainly for just short distances since drivers in my area are kinda idiots thatd fail their drivers test if they had to take it again.
My new ninja 500 came with a broken clutch, :( first thought it was my bad because of a new bike and not used to the new clutch. But it was not, and now it has to go back to the garage. Only had it for 2 days :(
I want this besides the ZXRR....which ever is available at my dealership is what I will get I guess. Looking to put down 3k at the most, I can't waaaait !!!
Since the 500 is basically a 400 with an updated instrument cluster and slightly bigger engine so they could meet emissions without killing the performance, I'd go with the 500. The 500 is going to be a little sportier feeling (650 you'll sit more upright) and cheaper.
@exiawildfire7708 I was in the same boat over the weekend. Found a dealer to let me test ride both 500 and 650. The 650 has much more torque but for street use I found found it to be unnecessary felt jumpy compared to 500. 500 is still fast. Much smoother than 650 and more comfortable. The price is also about 2500 cheaper. I'd say go with 500 unless you're a bigger guy. 500 has plenty power and is a lot of fun. Also, 650 felt much heavier at slower speeds
I think it sits a little lower, a little less horse power , but overall really well - price is better to. Thanks for Watching and Commenting 🙏🏻, Let me know what you end up doing!
@RayBowdenRides I ended up going with 500. I found the bike to be smoother, more comfortable and better value than 650 for me. Awesome bike for 6k. But the 650 is noticeably faster than the 500. But I don't think it's necessary for daily street riding
@RayBowdenRides I own a hero 3. I absolutely loved it back in the day but fell out of the action cam game. I've heard they are nothing but nightmare fuel since then.
That's a really good question, someone will answer this - but I can't, I would think YES on some and No on some others! Thanks for Watching and Commenting 🙏🏻!

I’m getting a 500 for my first bike . Everyone keeps saying just get a 650 cause I’ll get bored quick , but I’m not tryna be on demon time . I highly doubt I’ll get bored of the 500 any time soon
Buy a used Ninja 300 for a few grand. Ride the hell out of it for a season or two. Sell it for almost as much as you bought it for. Then go get you a new Ninja ZX-6R. Ride that for a few years. Realize that going long distances on it sucks. Trade it in for a Harley Low Rider S. This is the way.
Depends on what your budget is, The 400RR will be alot faster with a flash, but it twice the price. THANKS FOR WATCHING AND COMMENTING MY FRIEND 🙏🏻. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU END UP DOING!!
ZX-4RR all the way. No comparison my friend. The beauty of the ZX-4RR is you can rev it out on the street, without losing your license, which you definitely can't do on the ZX-6R or 10-R. I'm really looking forward to getting me a 40th anniversary ZX-4RR.
Get around that lawn mower trailer. The videos r great but safety first. Ive seen many encounters with debri trash and tools falling off work entities.
Im pretty sure the number is higher because they show crank horsepower for the US model and wheel horsepower in other countries. I dont actually think it has more power in US vs other countries, i wish though
@@1TheFunnyPro1 Really? Damn I was hoping for 51Hp but with a few upgrades I think I can get it there 💯 it was between this Ninja 500 or the Hondacbr500r I like the 40th anniversary color way on the ninja 🔥
I dont wanna sound like a karen here but just for the sake of safety i think youtubers who review bikes should wear full gear just to be an example for the new squids out there. It might seem small and unnecessary but as someone who has a 10 million reach per month on instagram i notice i have made mistakes which my followers have thought was okay and accidentally gave them a bad habit wothout even realizing it. Im not a motorcycle creator but just a lesson i learned and felt like it could just set a good example for the new rider. I mean this in the most respectful way! One day when you blow up you wanna make sure us squids got a good role model :)
zx4rr isn't really a move up in terms of acceleration untill you are going illegal speeds. If you want a slightly more comfortable bike and plan to go legal-ish speeds I would save a few bucks and get a Ninja 400 or Ninja 500.
From what I seen at the Aprilia 457 release Aprilia did at Plano Kawasaki, the Aprilia has a Bosch imu , Kawasaki doesn't, The Aprilia has a quick shifter- it's already on the bike but it's going to cost I believe 400 dollars to electronically unlock it, the Aprilia is a little more track focused, but the Kawasaki is able to ad all the extras to it except the imu , it's a tough call , there getting upwards of 57-59 hp with a flash on the Kawasaki 500, that's huge !
The problem with the Ninja 500, is the Ninja ZX-4RR, which sounds infinitely better with its high revving 16,000 rpm, inline 4 engine. Sounds like the old V12 F1 cars, music to my ears. I'm planning on getting the 40th anniversary ZX-4RR next month, which will definitely hold its value. Not sure if the Ninja 500 will hold its value, probably not, since parallel twins are a dime a dozen these days.
@@English_MoFo I went to one dealership that had one in stock, I sat on it to see if I could flat foot, it was sold and the salesman said he's getting another one next month. I've spoken to 3 dealerships and found one that is selling for $1,016 off what the others are selling it for. Supply is not a problem in my area.
My 400 I top out at 118 (I'm 230lbs though). Mine is flashed and tuned as well, and it has as much hp and tq as this 451 stock. So don't plan on anything over 120

The price is also about 2500 cheaper. I'd say go with 500 unless you're a bigger guy. 500 has plenty power and is a lot of fun. Also, 650 felt much heavier at slower speeds
@Rich-dd5tq yep!
my goal is to get one this year

How does this 500 compare to the ninja 2024 650?
I think it sits a little lower, a little less horse power , but overall really well - price is better to. Thanks for Watching and Commenting 🙏🏻, Let me know what you end up doing!
@RayBowdenRides I ended up going with 500. I found the bike to be smoother, more comfortable and better value than 650 for me. Awesome bike for 6k. But the 650 is noticeably faster than the 500. But I don't think it's necessary for daily street riding
Love how you love it, man. Great review!
Thanks Johnny! Hey Thank you for Watching and Commenting 🙏🏻, Please Stay in Touch!!
Great beginner bike, don’t ya think? Had one when I was younger, called something else. Ex500. A training sportbike!
Yea I remember that. Good talking to you again.
You're cameras are pretty nice. I think you sold me on the insta cams when I wanted you to sell me on the new ninja haha. I'll get both.
You won't regret any insta camera purchase I promise, especially if you have owned GOPRO'S!
@RayBowdenRides I own a hero 3. I absolutely loved it back in the day but fell out of the action cam game. I've heard they are nothing but nightmare fuel since then.
Love your vids but can you please make them longer please

Do the same mods for the 400 fit on the 500?
That's a really good question, someone will answer this - but I can't, I would think YES on some and No on some others! Thanks for Watching and Commenting 🙏🏻!
Is each watch for each action cam? 1 for the ace pro and 1 for the x3?
Yes ! Exactly right!
I've got discount insta links in the video Description 👍

I was thinking to get 400 as my first bike. Do you recommend I get the 500 instead? Or wait on rebates for 400 (only if discount is 1k+ I'll consider) what do you think?

I’m getting a 500 for my first bike . Everyone keeps saying just get a 650 cause I’ll get bored quick , but I’m not tryna be on demon time . I highly doubt I’ll get bored of the 500 any time soon
@MrGuyOnTheFly you'll love it, Thanks for Commenting and being apart of the Channel 🙏🏻.
@@Kingepticon tbh id rather die by semi before I get a Harley

The beauty of the ZX-4RR is you can rev it out on the street, without losing your license, which you definitely can't do on the ZX-6R or 10-R.

Top speed please ….
120 - 130 I would think.
would it make sense for me (30M) to start riding on the ninja 500 and then move up to the zx4rr?
Naw, after a while on the 500, you should go for the zx6r. It's only a little more expensive tbh
zx4rr isn't really a move up in terms of acceleration untill you are going illegal speeds. If you want a slightly more comfortable bike and plan to go legal-ish speeds I would save a few bucks and get a Ninja 400 or Ninja 500.
Yep
That's what I think too.

Compare it with Aprilia rs 457
From what I seen at the Aprilia 457 release Aprilia did at Plano Kawasaki, the Aprilia has a Bosch imu , Kawasaki doesn't, The Aprilia has a quick shifter- it's already on the bike but it's going to cost I believe 400 dollars to electronically unlock it, the Aprilia is a little more track focused, but the Kawasaki is able to ad all the extras to it except the imu , it's a tough call , there getting upwards of 57-59 hp with a flash on the Kawasaki 500, that's huge !
Welke is beter voor jau omdat heb je allebei gereden

The problem with the Ninja 500, is the Ninja ZX-4RR, which sounds infinitely better with its high revving 16,000 rpm, inline 4 engine.
Sounds like the old V12 F1 cars, music to my ears.
I'm planning on getting the 40th anniversary ZX-4RR next month, which will definitely hold its value.
Not sure if the Ninja 500 will hold its value, probably not, since parallel twins are a dime a dozen these days.
