i'm a big fan of megaman x and seeing your work on X was "excellent" (--that's the word chosen by my 7y/o daughter seeing your work).. it was an honor seeing your works..
I use to collect the figurines like crazy. I STILL have the mass majority of the old D-Arts lineup from the early 2000's which are so hard to come by. I'm just glad Bandai has either improved or re-released those old figures and these model kits by Kotobukiya are fun as well. I had Megaman and Blues and Zero, the scaling is odd but they were still so much fun to build back then.
OH MY GOD, THAT LOOKS SOOO COOL!!! MegaMan X was the very first video game I ever played and to see the main character look as amazing as he does after you're done customizing him is wonderful! Nice work!
Not dissing your work on this one, getting what LED light you could where possible on this model while giving it an amazing paint job is a feat to behold, but the seam lines are driving me crazy. I probably wouldn't mind if it weren't a painted model, but the paint really highlights the lines in a way that irritates me to no end.
I've never even tried a single Kotobukiya kit before. I'd actually like to see Bandai getting the RockMan license and making model kits from the original, X, Zero, ZX, Dash, etc. Anyway, I'm always super impressed with your paint work and especially your LED work. Hopefully they will continue to release the armored versions of X from X1 ~ X8, and also the various forms of Zero from the X series, and also Axl from the X series.
I've started enjoying these videos recently, and have decided to add leds to some of my new gunpla, thx for the inspiration! (Would also be nice if you added list of paints/leds used in description)
All fans want some Masters, but so far only got Cutman from Sentinel in a very expensive two pack with SuperAdaptor Megaman . But they are beautiful nonetheless, love both figures
"A proper Megaman X figure or model kit" *ALL* the old Bandai Rockman & Rockman X model kits: "Are we jokes to you???" Another interesting custom paint job: instead of the blues used, how about similar shades of purple, akin to X's appearance in Rockman X4 upon using the code to go get the Ultimate Armor...
Awesome paint job and custom building as usual man! Really wanna get one of these for my own someday and try out a nifty metallic paint job for the armor myself
Nice work. I'd encourage you to close up those seams, though. I understand it complicates the wiring process, but it'd make the finished model look a lot better.
What's the logic in putting a certain color LED behind the same color plastic? You specifically didn't do this with the blast effect, and explain that clearly, but why not also with the head/buster parts? Do you use a red LED behind red plastic specifically because you want the light to be dimmer than it would be if the LED were white?
I see I'm not the only one who had a lot of problems getting rid of seam lines. I thought that was just me but I see on your build as well the torso and chest and arms ans legs all hsve seam lines. For the armor versions I use white putty on the arms and legs.
Am I the only one who had trouble with this kit?. Like, its awesome of course. But in my case there was a lot of parts that required a lot of strenght to fit in, the build is very sturdy to the point like I feel like im going to break it lol, and one of the thighs pieces falls apart very easily when moving the feet. I had mixed results with this kit, hopefully the max armor and zero will come out better to me.
@otakubuilder I wanted to ask your advice. So I've been able to get my hands on the limited edition rx-78-2 pg chrome plated that was limited to the South East Asia markets. So what can I do about the nubs as with all chrome plated parts I'm sure I'll get the slots without color. I was thinking I could just find some chrome paint that is very close.
I think medium blue is my new favorite color haha and the effect parts are beautiful!! Diffusing the led light with the matte clear is a great tip too! Oh and I wanted to ask, Idk if you like Digimon but have you seen the new Wargreymon and Omegamon kits? People seem to be enjoying those alot
I've always wanted these kits but they are really expensive for the time it takes to make. It really throw my money for a loop if I spend so much on it but finish it in a day...
I've been looking for an X figure or statue and I saw this for preorder like a month or 2 ago. I didn't realize it was a model kit. seeing it in the video makes it looks so good. I hope they come out for one with the First armor and for Zero
@@jaydonw2972 ya, I saw the x3 when I saw this. x3 armor is fine, I just rather have first armor. kinda weird they started with x3. but that's good to hear zero is coming

Just Naked X? No light armor. 4th armor, ultimate armor or copy X cmon capcom. Until they make kits of those Xs and Zero ill pass kotobukiya especially since they havent made a death saurer zoid kit yet.
Do you regret now ? Kotobukiya did Max armor X3, Force armor X4, zero and nightmare Zero, price of normal X and Max armor started to raise. I guess Kotobukiya will continuastly do many model kits of MegamanX line. If you've not preodered Zero, better do it now.

You did a really wonderful painting job but what really blew me away were the led lights and how you incorporated them to the kit.

here's a challenge I would like to see, Seam line removal + Led's
was just thinking that, thighs, legs, helmet good examples of needing seamline removal.
@@vektracaslermd743 It's time consuming that's for sure. I usually do it to my Gunpla when I'm doing something that's heavily customized.
The only issues with that is if any electronics malfunction he can’t open it back up and replace them
Yes, those lines ruin the model and it just looks like a toy. Some damage effect would be great too
@@exploringaround9193 he could have made panel lines around it to cover it up
I wish this was an action figure instead of a model kit because of the seams but this is probably the most accurate looking X figure to date.
Too bad the 4 inch Nel exists, lol

@xxnike629xx Would you like to add Kotobukiya *BOXES* to your fort?
Bandai already released their own Megaman X model kit in the 90s and they're out of print. They released Rockman X3, Rockman 8, and EX series.
Bandai has no interest in megaman at all. They've done multiple things over the years and they just don't sell the numbers they want.
Beautiful touch with the LEDs!

I wanna see a proper build for these. Nub removal primer paint seam line removal. Mayb Mayb some pre shading
Very nicely done i love the effect of the LEDs and hope to see a Zero kit done with LEDs
Beautiful job on this. It looks absolutely amazing!
Why not do the whole Robot Master line up? I want a Shadowman and Elecman model.
