I've watched several tutorials on how to crochet this spiral cord, and for me yours is the easiest to follow as you show the position of the stitch to pick up relative to surrounding stitches. I can do this now even using a 4 ply cotton. That's how good you are at explaining the steps. Thank you so much!

I'm left handed and to learn I sat in front of my mom when I was 5yo, mirroring her in my mind. So, when I finally convinced her of giving me a hook and some yarn, I ended up crocheting with the front to the back. So... I was trying to do this cord and finding it reeaaaally hard to find the third bar. Yeah, took me a bit to remember that my back is in the front. On the bright side, it is a lot faster when crocheting from the outside instead of the inside, the bar kinda pops out. Thanks for sharing this tutorial.

You do a great job explaining what your doing, but how about the weight of thread and size hook your using.
Oh well I have use macrame for this video and larger hook to explain which thread to pic dear... once learn on thick yarn which loop to take then you can make it on any 4ply 3ply yarn u want to use 😊Thank u Dear for comment

I also want to know how to make a smaller spiral. If I do a foundation round of 6 instead of 8 and then instead of 10 as into the center 8?

How do you attach to a purse or other items?
You can flatten it a little from corners and attach it to purse or u can do purse inside out and then attach it in round..
After the desired length how do i finish it off?
Give a Slip Stitch in next stitch ch 1 and fasten off 👍

I'm having trouble with putting the hook into the look. It just slides by. Its taking so long to force it into the loop. And no, i'm not making it tight 😭
Try doing practice on chunky yarn with bigger hook

What if I want to make the circle smaller?
I personally would suggest this. She started with 8 foundation, 10 sc into the circle. 8/10. So if you want to try smaller go whatever foundation you use add +2 into center.
Example: 6/8, 5/7, or 4/6.
It should work.

Its spiral when you are done with your desire length fasten off any stitch... I do that at the end fasten off any stitch after i am happy with length ☺️

I use Decorative Leather Rope/Tassel Bell to attach it to bag... Its a round metal piece google it and you will find it ❤️❤️❤️
