Thank you so much for this clear and concise tutorial, Nikki. This Spiral Rope is so cool 😎 and useful! As usual, you've gone the extra mile to explain exactly how to create this unusual stitch so that we all can understand it!
Using your drawings and then watching your video tutorial make it so easy to follow along and end up with a unique product! And, oh, how difficult the intricate finished product looks to others! 👍
Thank you so much again for your hard work and effort so that we laymen can understand exactly what we're doing, making it so much easier to follow along and be successful in creating our own Spiral Rope.
    You're the best, Nikki!! 🙂

I WAS VERY ANNOYED AND FRUSTRATED BECAUSE THERE ARE COMBINATION OF DIFFERENT PROBLEMS WHILE TRYING TO UNDERSTAND THE BASICS. THERE WAS A FORIEN LANGUAGE PROBLEM OR THERE IS VIDEO WITH NO VOICE OR YARN COLOUR WAS TOO DARK TO SEE WITH VAUGE WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS. YOU HAVE DONE PHENOMENAL WORK EXPLAINING THE BASICS , DRAWING OUT A GOOD DIAGRAM TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO IDENTIFY THE STITCH. I APPRECIATE THE EFFORT AND TIME YOU TOOK TO THOROUGHLY WALK US THROUGH EACH STICH. I CAN,T WAIT TO WATCH YOUR VIDEO AGAIN AND START TRYING TO MAKE THIS CORD WHILE WATCHING YOUR TUTORIAL. IT HAS BEEN 5 DAYS I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING VERY MUCH TO MASTER THIS METHOD. REASON I WANT THESE ROPES BECAUSE I WANT SOMETHING NICE AND DECORATIVE TO HOLD MY CURTAINS OPEN DURING THE DAY.

Thank you so much for the tutorial. You used drawings, and step by step instructions! It was hard, until I figured out what the "infamous" horizontal loop is and where it hides. Got it!
I recommend starting a wide rope ( I did 14 single stiches in the magic loop) as a test to be abe to distinguish better. And, yes, the more you go the easier it gets. Just make sure your tension is very light to provide for the loose stiches.
    Thank you, Nicki!

First time I ever needed to make a rope, and the instructions that came with the pattern were ridiculous: "Chain 7. Row 1 was to sc starting from the 2nd chain across, then Row 2 was sc in the horizontal bar." No wonder it looked so wrong. Lucky for me, I had already watched this tutorial before out of curiosity so I was able to come back and find it again. It took a few times watching it with yarn and hook in hand until I finally realized I kept starting in the back bump, not the back loop. Once I got started right, it was easy to see the horizontal bar; it was looking out of place between the spirals. 55 inches later, it was all done! Thank you for this tutorial, Nicki!!

THANK YOU! Your detailed explanations and instructions are great.
To help me locate the horizontal bar/loop, because of your perfect description of where that bar will be when the SC stitches were worked, I placed small safety pins around the yarn behind the hook's tip, before pulling thru the back loop of the SC stitches. At the end of the round, all I had to do is remove the safety pin and work in the loops where the safety pins were in. After the 1st round I was able to locate the horizontal bar without the pins, although, the pins system can be repeated as may times as needed until those bars become more visible.

Thank you for this clear tutorial! My friend is becoming a nun, and her out of town nun friend made her a rope cynch (belt) to wear with her habit. It looks just like yours. Trouble is, it's about 6 inches too long, and I have the job of shortening it. So I thought I would cut it (leaving an extra inch or so, and then start unraveling it until I have 1 thread and then finish that off. What I am afraid of, is that the end I have to cut is the beginning of the rope as you showed it with the little circle of knots. The reason I can't cut the other end, is that the order she belongs to has three special knots - and these knots are at the end where you ended. Will it work the way I think? (If I am unraveling from the beginning and not the end?) THANKS!

That is so cool!!! Thanks so much for showing! How would you do for a handle on a bag? I am currently working on a beach bag.
