Blake Lively has a long history of acting like this. Most of her co-stars have had bad experiences working with her. This seems to be typical with lots of stars. Their egos get out of control and they act like they're better than everyone else. The same thing has happened to Olivia Wilde.
I’m the same about Gossip Girl. I never got the love for it. The CW is where I would watch Smallville and Supernatural but people called me a nerd for liking it I and said since I didn’t watch Gossip Girl I was fake. I don’t have to watch everything on the network and I like what I want to like. Also told that person that shows like Smallville and Supernatural were around before and carried the same network too but then they tell me oh my shows are trash. The thing with Blake talking about her hair care stuff reminds me of when Kim Kardashian was asked about a tragedy but changed the subject and made it all about her cosmetics line with her sisters. I agree, some people don’t have a sensitivity chip.

To be honest I have never heard of this book nor the movie until I watched your box-office update. That being said I totally agree with you on the point of why didn’t Lively just purchase the movie rights to the book and make this movie with herself and Reynolds.
The film’s premise is problematic on its own. I mean, seriously, a romantic story about domestic violence?? But on top of this, Blake Lively, Parker Posey and the book’s author have pretty much exposed themselves during this entire debacle. It’s on them to make it better.
Two separate things. It was a romance and then the violence happened. By the end, she leaves him for her daughter. That is not problematic, that is a good message.

This was more romantic drama than domestic violence movie. The violence was a small part of the movie. Blake gave a great performance in this movie and while she will not get awards attention, she should. I also thought it was one of the top movies of 2024 so far.

Running circles around interview questions, for a role she signed up for, is irresponsible. To a certain degree as an actor it is one's duty to research and prepare to engage in the subject matter at hand. Especially portraying the main character who is in the thick of it. While being a professional spokesperson for all Domestic Abuse Survivor's is not a requirement, using her huge platform to talk about the issue at hand would have been beneficial. I saw a comment elsewhere where someone wrote maybe it made her uncomfortable to talk about it. Doesn't make sense to me. As she spoke on stage before about an even harder subject matter; Child Trafficking. A respectable actor knows when they're strong enough to take on a role (including all that it entails with the press). They also know when to politely decline when they're not suitable for the job. Her rudeness in that interview addressing the lady's bump when she was not pregnant was appalling and shocking. It's a lesson on why we should never make anyone our idols. On a lighter note: I'd like to see your next video about Joaquin Phoenix and the Joker 2 movie. I saw a headline regarding something, but didn't check it out.

Omg, this whole thing is so overblown because of content creators looking for more content. Of course they're going to jump on the next juicy story. But there are real lives behind these stories. And it turns into a lynch mob witch hunt. I watched the interview and if you weren't told what to think, I don't think anyone would think anything of it. It was totally a misunderstanding. Have any of you seen how Blake and Ryan joke? The journalist later said, "Maybe it's a cultural thing." If she was offended, maybe call it a bad day, but quit your job is a bit extreme. Makes me think that there is more going in the journalist's life than just Blake. There's a saying, "Heal so you stop bleeding all over people who did not cut you." But to retaliate in this way 8 years later is extreme. I personally would not want to cause this amount of backlash on someone for something they said to me. Blake said something and she's going to get you back by hitting you with a two ton truck. It wouldn't make me feel better hurting someone back or validate my feelings, the way the journalist is relishing from all the attention. It would make me feel worse that everyone feels bad now. I'm not a vindictive person.
The journalist is simply confirming that this is the true Blake Lively. She was a mean girl 8 years ago and continues to be one. If anyone is to blame, it's Blake.
