    Nice to see a new visitor's perspective on San Angelo. Easy to take for granted some of the things we have when one has lived here a long time. Great vid.

      It's always great to hear from locals that we have done a good job representing their towns. You certainly have a lot to see and do in San Angelo and we have continued to recommend it as a place to check off when we chat with other travelers. Thanks so much for watching and posting such a nice comment!

    Thank you for highlighting my small city. It is a great place to live and to have grown up here. I came back after I completed my 20 years of service. You should come back during Christmas the Fort gets all set up and there a lot of vendors and shows.

    San Angelo has alot to offer and really has an amazing economic potential. It has 3 lakes, 3 rivers for recreation. An awesome riverwalk, lake nasworthy is a popular attraction especially during holidays. There is a riverstage where artists come and perform. Downtown has many shops and antique stores and a nightlife on chadbourne st. Explore! Terrain is flat and rolling hills and varies throughout the area. There is an art museum, old fort museum, murals, chicken art farm, large university ASU, air force base GAFB, a planetarium, the nature center, San angelo state park, Springfield creek Marina, plenty of beautiful parks and trails! A coliseum, city auditorium, a national pro rodeo and fair and Plenty more!

I will put those on the list to visit with my grandkids. Thanks.

    The only water the river thru downtown gets is street runoff. The lake at head O C Fisher, stays at puddle stage. If the gates where open, no water would come out. O C Fisher has been given a award for a lake on fire before.

    • @Trekers
      @Trekers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    @robertrobert175 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Be honest, we have lakes but little water. The river thru down town has NO flow. San Angelo can store a lot of water if it would rain. Water is piped 70 miles. This water will not last forever. San Angelo is looking into using waste water for drinking water. On the plus side we have a large new jail.

    • @Trekers
      @Trekers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's interesting about the water flow. It has been a couple of years since we've been there and we remember it seeming somewhat low in some areas on the river. Has the water level dropped/slowed down even more recently?
