Life gives you how much you can handle and it definitely has thrown me some curve balls. Don't worry we are already building out the new rig and aiming to hit the road here very very soon, because life is to precious not to experience it all.
The fact that you are filming being helped by the medical persons is so tacky. I am willing to bet that you were not paying attention and or were distracted veered off the road and because the shoulder is a sharp slope you got pulled in and flipped.
Do you have Cancerous tumors like she and I. Can you possibly understand the remote possibility that someone wants to document what life they have left? YEA I didn't think so!
@Chefbriank It doesn't matter. The back tires wouldn't have came off the road if she was paying attention. Her lack of responsibility could have hurt or killed someone else. The back tires don't just come off the road. She needs to own it.
Dec 2020, my Toy 4-runner rolled multiple times on the interstate. Every window was broken and all the contents spread over the highway. Had a broken rib and cuts on my head. The state trooper was surprised I survived. Glad you are OK.
Oh my gosh I'm so glad the doggies are okay. That is always my number one priority. I may not do the safest things by myself but when I have them with me it's safety first. ❣️
2 weeks before Christmas I was rear ended while I was doing the speed limit on a multi lane highway. I drive a F150 and had a contractors canopy on it that was built out for living in. Other drive was in a Mazda M6 that ended up wrapped around my bumper. Took 2 hr and 3 tow trucks to get the Mazda off my bumper. Wrote my truck off. Nobody was hurt, I have a new truck and have to rebuild and will end up about $25,000.00 in debt again. Am retired and this will set me back in my travels. Sucks but it’s life. You too will rebuild and carry on.
That's awful that happened to you. I'm 62; and widowed been traveling for the last four years. I keep a semi off-grid homebase that I keep for between travels and got vehicle maintenance and Drs appt I have a 2015 GMC SAVANNA that I've built out. Sometimes I think about what if something happens to it and it would be hard to replace I also have a Ford Explorer and would probably have to downsize into it. I think as long as we keep moving well be okay
it's so horrible that happened to you. It's an awful feeling to know you built something you were proud of for yourself only to lose it and wind up not only building it again but paying for it again.
I mean the evidence is literally in the seconds before the cut to the car being upside down: recording herself with the phone on the wheel, recording the road/side mirrors while holding the phone in hand...not sure what the laws are in the land of the free, but where I'm from that is just perfect self-snitch. Insurance companies are smashing that 'like' button as we speak.
@@Kuba-wc7qqI thought the same thing too. The position of her flipped truck on a two lane highway clear sunny day has off road tires no blow out. She was recording herself driving right up to the accident scene, she was on her phone recording. I felt something odd with her behavior it was like she was trying to fake cry no tears after a flipped vehicle accident. Self absorbed! I hope she learned a lesson about recording while driving a vehicle. She told her mom she “suddenly” lost control (because she was on phone). If her truck is salvageable it is because her camper took the impact.
Sooooo fortunate that all three of you came through uninjured. Your dogs were so concerned for you, that’s true love! Sounds like you have options! Keep moving forward one step at a time!

Not on my phone or recording. It was an honest accident where the back tires went off the road and tried to do a simple correction turns out it was sand
For sure. I remember my dad telling me that when he first taught me to drive in 1992. We'd drive the back roads with no shoulder. He'd always say the gravel or sand would snag your tires and you could flip, especially in a higher profile vehicle. Glad you're ok and puppies are good too. That's gotta be scary for them too.@searchingforsloane
Who sits there and Records himself after having a flip over accident while the medic is trying to take vitals on you and she's sitting there worried about getting herself recorded and the dogs are looking up at you like what the hell are you doing
I don't even know what happened...as I am recording videos while driving. I am guessing the after incident analysis is going to point to distracted driving.
Thank God you are safe and I hope to be on the road soon. The same thing happened to my car on 10/8/2023 by a drunk person. My car was parked on the side of the road and the drunk idiot came and crashed into my truck. I know how you feel now, my dear. Life will go on and we wish you all the best and to continue on the road again.
The tow truck operator actually did a great job of getting your rig back on the tires. And they didn't add much damage to what is going to be a very expensive fix, or total it out. And drifting off onto a soft shoulder will get you every time. You are lucky you weren't seriously injured. Best of luck getting your stuff back together.
Good thing you didn't go into oncoming traffic while you were on your phone......THAT would have been bad! Road and weather conditions were all great. Only explanation is you were not paying attention to what you were supposed to be paying attention to. You don't just "lose control" for no reason.....
You clearly havn't ever driven in areas like that in high winds in a high profile vehicle. Your assuming she was negligent. I however have and have been nearly blown right off the road in desert wide open settings exactly like that in that very state. So clearly your explanation IS NOT THE ONLY EXPLANATION. What was the wind speed or gusting speed??????? was there blowing sand or dust? Did a tractor trailer blow by her?? UMMM You don't know because YOU WERE NOT THERE!!!
@@Chefbriank UMMMM There's video dummy. Clear sky, no wind, she said no witnesses, so no traffic. She was literally recording with her phone moments before it happened. People are killed and injured every day.......this is just another example.

Hang in there, I never understand when a person is in a crash or something everyone has to be so nasty. Come on people be nice would ya. Things happen, those Toyota trucks are having problems now so maybe something broke on the truck that caused the crash. Give her a break! Prayers for you. God has a plan, please don't rush out and do things. Let yourself heal, your mind rest and then talk to people. Good people your friends. How about Timmy maybe he could give you a idea. But just don't rush into things, take it slow. Take care my friend.
people will be people. Sometimes they don't have the ability to be kind. Things all happen for a reason. I definitely have a great community of people around me. I've given myself time to heal grateful I've had the space.
For whatever reason this is pilot error OBVIOUSLY. All the tires had air = not a blowout. Vehicle rolled straight off the hauler = no steering systems failure. No dead cattle or elk etc. and she hasn't mentioned anything about having to swerve etc... etc... So....... the sky is yellow & the sun is blue now??
Tow truck operator didn't know what he was doing! A) The reason it started sliding on its side instead of rolling over is because he didn't rig from a low point on the bed to pull down on the vehicle to effect the roll. B) tow operator didn't make sure vehicle was in park, set park brake or set blocking to ensure vehicle didn't roll away when returned to its wheels..Which is exactly what started to happen! Very unsafe and could have caused a serious problem! #Towtruckfail
Exactly. The dogs and I are okay and that's what really matters. It was really hard to edit and share this video. But it's part of my story so here we are.
Glad you and the pups are ok. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully some can learn from your experience. Just read you have an illness, you survived this accident and it shows you are a survivor. I pray you are healed and can continue your adventures. For those wondering what happened, she states her rear tires went off road and when she corrected, over she went. Lifted vehicles are very susceptible to flipping like this and the camper in the bed didn't help matters.God bless.
It’s that AGE GROUP “This is the worst thing that ever happened in MY entire life. I was like.. & then I was all . Then I was like.. & I’ll get a sleeve tattoo to commemorate this moment “
Yeah, that tow trucker was a total amateur. And the equipment he brought wasn't really suitable for that job. Be sure your insurance company sees the job he did.
@@freewill1114 Well, he brought a rollback, which is appropriate for this type of job. You could bring something bigger but chances are the insurance company wouldn't cover it because it would be too expensive. So in this case, the rollback is appropriate. But the way he did the job was really sloppy. He did the right thing by putting down the blocks to prevent the car from rolling but he placed them incorrectly, thus the truck started to roll backwards. lol
Exactly, dude did more damage than the accident, he rolled it over onto the only undamaged side and munted it, I was thinking surely he'd pull it the other way, I've had to tip a couple of cars over that crashed near my farm, pulled one over gently with my loader and lowered it to the ground, they drove 80km back home, the other I pulled without a loader but had someone with another tractor on the other side to take the weight as it came over . His rig was only for cars on there wheels.
Accidents happen, lifted trucks can be a handful on any road. I know, way back in my younger days I had one. Many scary moments. Keep on doing whatever makes you happy. We love your videos.
I've been driving those lonely two-lane highways in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah for more than 30 years. What people don't realize is there is NO shoulder on those roads. It's sand. Deep sand at that. You don't need bad weather for your tires to lose traction out there, just need a tire to leave the road. Also, blowing sand can leave a layer of it on the road and it's like hitting black ice...you don't know it's there until you're on it and you're off in the sandy desert, or a semi can pass you going in the opposite direction and that can push your car right off into the sand and good luck getting control of anything at that point! Only Sloane knows how this happened and until she's ready to tell the story, if ever, then it's her business. Everyone needs to stop your self-righteous attitudes and know-it-all comments. Just hope it doesn't happen to YOU someday! Whatever happened to kindness and "if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all!"? I'm reading thru these comments and it's disgusting the amount of people who find enjoyment in accusing someone of something that they themselves know nothing about because THEY WEREN'T THERE WHEN IT HAPPENED! Keep your speculations to yourself and show Sloane some support FFS!

Thanks for this. I'm not in the USA (I live in Scotland) so to me it looks like just a straight road, I would not have known about the sand issue. We have roads with no verge but they are okay as long as you drive appropriate to the conditions.

Who loses control of their vehicle on a straight stretch of highway, roads nice and dry? Maybe you should pay better attention to the road instead of looking into a camera while driving, all for content

THOUGHT he had it under control and ended up smashing into my boy on his bike!! What if YOU would of drove head on to another vehicle with the whole family in it?
You flipped on a straight, open road? I'm gonna guess it was "distracted driving," you hit the deep shoulder on the road, over corrected, rear end fishtailed into the ditch, and the truck flipped. When you're driving, JUST DRIVE! Don't fuss with phones, cameras, dogs, food, whatever...just focus on the road.
I was not on my phone or messing with the dogs or distracted. I was simply driving. My back tires went of because there is no shoulder, I tried to gently correct didn't realize it was sand and here we are. It was an honest mistake.
@@searchingforsloane There's no way your back tire went off the road without your front tire doing the same...the front steers the rear. Your "I was simply driving" comment doesn't add up here. If you were distracted, you wouldn't admit that on TH-cam: bad look, backlash, and could lead to car insurance issues.
@@jodiesebek2440 Her description of the situation doesn't add up. You can't be "simply driving" and have your back tire go off the road as she described. Tires don't just do that by themselves. Not to mention that the front tires steer the rear, so unless she fishtailed on a straight stretch of road, the front tire wouldve had to have gone off the road before the rear tire ever did. Point being, if this situation was brought upon herself by distracted driving (like my suspicion), I wouldn't want to be supportive. But, she'd likely never admit on TH-cam if she was driving distracted, because it would be a bad social media look and her insurance wouldn't be too keen on the driving habit.

@JB-xx4kv There's a difference between making a screw up mistake that we all do...I've done plenty. The fact that you are filming being helped by the medical persons is so tacky. I am willing to bet that you were not paying attention and or were distracted veered off the road and because the shoulder is a sharp slope you got pulled in and flipped.

Glad you are OK.
wow! I'm so glad you were okay. It is so scary to come to and be on the roof.
Oh my gosh I'm so glad the doggies are okay. That is always my number one priority. I may not do the safest things by myself but when I have them with me it's safety first. ❣️
I'm so happy that I have my dogs and my life. That is the most important.

I think as long as we keep moving well be okay
Glad your OK @wandaesch7314
it's so horrible that happened to you. It's an awful feeling to know you built something you were proud of for yourself only to lose it and wind up not only building it again but paying for it again.
How did you manage to flip on a straight open road ?
Back tires went off the freeway and tried to gently correct didn’t realize it was sand and that was it
Your front tires steer the rear. So your front tires had to hit the dirt first on a straight path.
@@Kuba-wc7qqyeah its the same laws cant be on the phone and driving. Driving is not a right
@@Kuba-wc7qqI thought the same thing too.

Thank you so much he did an excellent job.

Your right! Wrecker driver had few options in that type of rig! Too bad he didn't have Casey Ladells Rig!
You can't say she doesn't drive distracted because she was doing it in video!

Good thing you didn't take out anyone else not paying attention
Tow truck operator didn't know what he was doing! A) The reason it started sliding on its side instead of rolling over is because he didn't rig from a low point on the bed to pull down on the vehicle to effect the roll. B) tow operator didn't make sure vehicle was in park, set park brake or set blocking to ensure vehicle didn't roll away when returned to its wheels..Which is exactly what started to happen! Very unsafe and could have caused a serious problem! #Towtruckfail
What about him flipen it on the good instead of the wrecked side he did as much damage as the acceint if not more

Wow... that tow truck driver... I'm glad you video'd that.

@@searchingforsloane yep, altered the CG.... wonder if the insurance adjuster will pick that up??

@searchingforsloane uh huh
@@matthewchambers06 don't assume anything and don't be judgemental. Be kind and maybe support her during this horrific situation.

Flogging while driving is more than stupid; it's irresponsible and reckless. She is lucky she went off to the right instead of over the centerline head on into a car full of children....think about it
One thing blaming and attacking, but absolutely nothing wrong with asking honest questions
After a bit more looking I think that the AT Topper may have saved your life. I'm so glad you and the doggos are OK. As I said before, you're one tough lady.
oh it absolutely saved my life. I think without it the whole cab would have crunched. n
@@searchingforsloane You might use your videos and photos for an ad for AT Toppers and go talk to them. They just might replace the thing for free in order to use your testimonial. Never know Sloan.
probably doesnt help filming while driving
So very sorry for your troubles lady. I pray you get it all worked out. I am glad you and your dogs are ok
Thank you so much.
We will be back in the road in no time
Nobody was hurt and that's the most important thing.
Learning a lesson and not driving while filming would be an important thing.
exactly.!
@@searchingforsloane Also, you better get up and running again. Your channel is one of my favorites...
Wow so sorry this happened, but very glad you and the pups are doing well.
Thank you so much.
Grateful to have my life and my pups to enjoy life with
Road seemed straight as hell
So there can’t be potholes? Another car? Some other circumstances? Awful judgy of you…
road has no shoulder and is soft sand. looks can be deceiving.
thank you for this comment! love the strong support
Thank you for sharing your travels. For sure an inspiration for solo travel, as a woman. Have thought about doing it many times in last 4 years. Sending healing frequency and light. Be sure to take care of yourself. Whiplash is no joke and can cause long term effects. As someone who has been in 5 car accidents and 1 where I hit the pavement as you did and went out of my body blackout, then woke up in front of a huge tree I hit, completely unharmed. There is something not of this world that happens in that instance and changes your life course. May you be well and injoy the journey this path has reset for you. 🌞✨
Wow! I’m so glad you are okay,
It’s a wild experience to have an accident and come to and be completely in shock but have to figure it all out.
@@searchingforsloanefor sure. Disorienting. Like coming into a new body. Be gentle with yourself. 😊
