I love listening to Harry's narration he's telling a story rather than rattling off specs like other reviewers. Not obnoxious or annoying very soothing.
Another honest assesment from a true aficionado who has decades of experience driving and living (not simply flipping) these types of cars. Greatly appreciated. Well done Harry!
I'm a big lambo fan,the sound of all lambo v12's sounds like nothing else, engine's are masterpiece, like your garage and your videos, great work Mr harry.
So refreshing and relaxing to watch such content, away from those stupid vloggers like VV, Salomondrin etc. Today I learned that a carbon tub creates more road noise, would have never learned this from other channels. Keep up the great work Harry :)
Harry I love your videos, you just seem to understand how important personality and character is in cars. Especially in a world of cars that are basically the same thing with a different badge on the bonnet
The weird ergonomic disaster of an interior in the Aventador actually bolsters my confidence in the brand, because it means that though it’s owned by ze Germans, the Italians are still running the show.
I’m stunned - don’t follow the classic car market and had no idea how much those Countach go for - £100,000 more!! What a great video, I’ve been a subscriber for a while and I guess subconsciously to me Harry occupies the classic car area so it’s always refreshing to see his love of modern super cars and not just with passing admiration either, he’s fully in. I couldn’t agree more with, followed a dark metallic grey one the other day and had the same thoughts - we didn’t exceed 40 mph yet there was a sense of theatre , the occasional V12 burst and the on road presence was just phenomenal - moving sculptures - well said & thank you, thoroughly enjoyable ! !
Harry you couldn't have timed this better, Friday evening and a notification for a Harry's Garage video pops up. I've not had lunch today so am starving and can sit down for dinner with a quality video to watch, thank you.
Harry talks about how people smile as the Aventador drives by, while in the background, a person is gawping as he walks down the street, priceless timing.
Somehow, I still prefer the more mechanical sound of the Countach's engine - the clatter of the timing chain, the rasp of the exhaust. There's something about that noise that the Aventador just can't match in my book.
I wonder if it's partially a generational thing - a question of what you grew up with. I was a kid in the 70s and early 80s (yeah, I'm old) - and the Countach has a sound I associate with performance engines of that period, more mechanical whirrings and tappings and rattles. The Aventador has a thoroughly modern sound - and while it's a nice sound, it's not the sort of "sports car sound" I grew up with.
The single clutch transmission pushing you in the back seat is simply a ferocious bull trying to toss you off its back. You have to earn control over an animal like this. It should be like that.
Just the walkaround observing the deatil was enough for me...the detailing and the tooling required to produce all those edges - just superb. Then the comment re loving the gullwing doors and easy to get out if someone parks next to you! I wouldnt be going anywhere unless I had a dedicated space so no numpties were within 2 feet of the car! And the memory of Viola on the Diablo was a total nostalgia moment from the 90's. Superb
@@Toby_the_Glen Well, but you know you've chosen the right YT channel when the presenter shows his own Countach QV to explain the roots of the new car. ;)
Harry summed it up perfectly each V12 gen Lambo is the pin up poster car of its era. 50 years and there still on top in terms of fastest production car and looks. 6:44 for the SVJ is incredible.
Harry thanks another great clip . Your format has a great feature that takes the viewer about as close as they’ll get without actually driving the car. Very informative.
I have one in gran turismo and its surprisingly fun, its quick around monza such that you have to brake miles earlier than a gt3 car on the corners but the power allows you to catch up again on the straights. makes for a fun race.
"You never took a Murcielago or a Diablo on track, was just a chuffing nightmare. You either ran out of brakes, ran out of talent or you just ran out of tire barriers to hit." hahah, I do kinda miss those crappy scary big Lambo days, somehow the capability sometimes seems to take away the 'character'. Great color! (would still take that Diablo in it)
Outstanding quality once again, Harry. Please keep these videos coming. You are the standard for others to be measured and at present no one else is even close.
Thanks for the perfectly balanced review Harry. As I get older I am losing my love for Lamborghinis and instead appreciating the softer styling of Ferrari. There is much more natural beauty, but no dullness (like McLaren). The interior of the Aventador looks plasticy and unergonomic.
Nice video Harry, just to balance the haters(why bother watching if you don’t like Lamborghini’s?). Love your countach, that ain’t an easy drive. I think the aventador will go down in history as the most complete car since the mclaren f1. The drama, the beauty, the noise, the pleasure, the reaction from the kids. Let me put something to bed. I have done a lot of miles on this gearbox and let me tell all you all, it is the best gearbox ever developed in any car if you’re a driver. And to drive this car yes you have to be lucky but you have to have balls. Unfortunately we don’t see enough lifestyle with the aventador, we see more brash vulgarity. Driven properly in the right environment the aventador is a blessing to the automotive industry.
i am on my 2nd aventador (a chocolate brown 2017 S model, number 5 in canada), and so far it's been terrific i am pretty sure i set a personal record when i traded my 2013 coupe in with 95,000kms, and during that whole time i never had problems with the car besides "lambo problems"............

Literally just watched Chris Harris and his 3 hyper cars at Portimao.....awesome content and I was grinning form ear to ear. Then I get a notification that Harry's just dropped a new video with a Lamborghini........today is a good day!
It just puts a smile on my face every time Harry puts out Lamborghini content. Aventador Has its flaws but that’s what gives it its character, an all time great Lambo.
I get really bothered when navigation lady tells me to drive south when I'm in an underground parking lot and even if I was outdoors I'd still have exatly zero reference to the world sides. It's just unhelpful. Never had a compass in any of my cars.
Thanks ‘H’,have been waiting for a good review of the Aventador s Instead of all the other Vloggers just complaining about the Clutch and giving us no other information.
Another great video, cant stand modern Lambos personally, especially the massively flawed Aventador and Aventador S, but found your review interesting all the same. Cheers
The biggest problem I’ve heard is the single clutch automated transmission. To me, if you can’t offer a dual clutch transmission you should offer a manual option until you get it perfected. I rented a 2005 Ferrari F430 years ago and it had the manual transmission. It completely changed the way the car drove. The worst transmission I’ve ever used was the F1 gearbox on the 360 Modena. It made the car miserable to drive in bumper to bumper traffic. Even under load it was very jerky. I’ve heard the DCT in the Huracan is nearly perfection but the one In Gallardo is probably as terrible as the 360 was. I can only imagine how bad the F1 transmission must have been in the 355

6:43 - The way the center of the engine does not line up with the crossbar makes me think that Lamborghini’s mechanics build these cars just like I usually mount my IKEA furniture... getting the job done, but always finishing with a bunch of loose bolts and screws! Just kidding, great car, amazing review!!
When looking back in 30 years let's say, I don't think the Aventador will be looked at with the same legendary status as the Countach. Countach was on bedroom walls for decades for a reason!

Hi Harry - can you perhaps get hold of a Ford GT or maybe a GT40? Or even a Ferrari 275 GTB perhaps? I do appreciate the new stuff but your iconic views on the older classics would be insightful! Magic word - Please!
Harry’s comments are spot on, and also exactly why I need to have a lambo v12. I have a pair of Ferraris and Porsches and they have diff kind of charm and fun, and I have been spoiled by these cars and a baby lambo v10 as they are inexpensive to run and maintain and very reliable. I couldn’t pull a trigger yet on the v12 becoz of the higher upkeep maintenance and repair costs, hard to deal with that stress on a car that’s driven so occasionally. But yes, the ability to “bring out the 10 year old in u” and “moving sculpture” are exactly why u would want such a flawed car
Great review. Always nice to draw the historical lines. I had a Countach on my wall (together With Nick mason's 250 GTO) when I was a kid. An Incredible spectacular view. Agree, when I think they could have built the Asterion (modern version of the Miura) instead of the Urus...reminds me of the old saying "money talks".

Pure class, Harry, as always. That V12 sounds epic.
The fact that cross bar doesn't meet at the middle point of the engine hurts my eyes
Dav Pl yes I’ve always wanted an explanation for that
Do you think the engine is off centre? It looks like the cross brace lines up with the inner damper mounts and I'm pretty sure they'd be centred.
Now that I checked, Huracan does the same - engine is off centre to the left. No clue why
It was claimed that they offset the engine to balance the weight of the driveshaft going to the front, thus keeping L/R balance even.
