Can't wait for this to be released! Love Blackberry Smoke, so to get a guitar with a neck that was scanned from his actual guitar is very cool! Also, the adjustable bridge on this guitar is very unique. Nice job, Gibson!
I've been rooting for Charlie to get his own Signature model for a few years now. Now, I wish they'd make a replica of his guitar with the wear and tear on it.....!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually had one custom made and the band all autographed it at the Martin Centre in Douglas, GA and Brian, the owner, is going to hang it up in the lobby !!!!!!!!!

@@J.C... So they have a reference guitar body and neck and all reissues are measured from that and conform to +/- tolerances? I highly doubt Gibson are capable of doing anything like this.
@@LysanderLH like I said, they do it same way they do every other signature guitar. Especially on signatures based on guitar that, already exists. They, take measurements, make those the specs, and build the guitars. It's not rocket surgery dude. 🤦
@@J.C... we’re sort of agreeing! When is a Les Paul not a Les Paul though? The furore over ‘vintage’ specs was and still endures as marketing hype. It’s mythical grail territory to argue older LPs have something newer LPs don’t unless they cost over 5k. For example, the Gibson Vintage Assured idea is useful but is more of a method by which to make 10k+ Murphys and 20k signature models etc look reasonable to those who relate to them as investment currency. That market is already collapsing.

So with Tonewood and “Authenticity” in mind, how does Gibson match the wood used in these very specific reissues with the originals?
