The Blackberry Smoke guitar gunslinger goes through the tonal tweakers resting on his current pedalboard.
Their latest album, You Hear Georgia, was produced by Dave Cobb in Nashville, and hit the top of the Billboard Americana/Folk chart when it was released in mid-2021. PG’s John Bohlinger caught up with guitarists Charlie Starr and Paul Jackson before their sold-out show at the Ryman to run down their ever-expanding universe of gear.

For guitar "nerds" this must be a master class interview. For just a super fan of Charlie and the band, it's like listening to technical "gibberish" and I LOVE it. Watching Charlie explaining and demonstrating his pedalboards is almost like listening to a BBS song. Thank you Premier Guitar for this clip! See you in Paris and Brussels in September 2024! The Smoke are coming back to Europe next year... rock 'n roll folks.

The warmest dog gone board I’ve heard recently. Taped down knobs like the permanent markings on the Lennon/Beck Super Beetle.
I've gone over to a one pickup Firebird and have the chase tone..( among other pedals)..but it is possibly one of the best kept secret pedals out there.. its bizarre....sometimes, depending on guitar, I'll turn it on and you go...hmmm it's not doing a lot...then turn it off and it's like...where the hell has my tone gone....highly recommend it to any guitarist.... Bloody love BS as well...great great band

Love mine. It's like two pedals. Slow is washy and fast throbby. Always subtle and sweet.
I found an original 1978 phase 100 box booklets and all Gathering dust in a studio I was at producer said take it home it's junk all it needed was a 9-volt battery clip and now gets used quite frequently

See to my ear that Vibe pedal made that solid body sound like a chambered body. That was a pretty cool effect actually.

That fuzz box really didn't do anything for me. I'm big fan of Mr Starr and even he seemed less sure about it.
Centaurs are far from 'TRANSPARENT'. They're mid heavy. Big time.
