Your content is pretty high quality and you seem like a chill dude. I appreciate people that just talk about what they want to talk about without having much of a typical “TH-camr personality”. Keep up the good work my man!
I love this commander! I went landfall and added nature’s revolt to stop someone boardwiping me and to swing everything out. However Six decided to mill 3 cards and lo and behold Elesh Norn came out. Everyone immediately tried to kill me but couldn’t so on my turn I played her from the GY and killed everything. I was told “well killing lands is frowned upon” to which my villian arc said oh well, y’all had 1 turn to do something.
Really cool decklist! Brewing a Necrobloom right now and you brought some really unique and fun cards I would never have thought of otherwise. Love your explanations and energy as well
I think the Nicrobloom allows for creativity for a few sets to come! It also allows you to go so many different ways. I like one cards I like this because you have an opportunity to eat to express what you enjoy in Commander. Great video!!!
I have been playing with the necrobloom sinds the release of mh3. I'ts so good and a lot of fun! Thank you for covering him so i know how i can upgrade the deck! I always like your take on decks, it fits my playstyle really wel.
@canadaraid2110 if I'm not mistaken, kadama of the east tree says whenever a permanent enters which includes lands since they are permanents, and since it is a permanent with mana value 0, you can also put a land from your hand onto the battlefield as well. So, you get to drop a free land whenever you play a land. Can get out of control if you can play lands from graveyard and play additional lands each turn.
Never underestimate Life/Death. I use it in my Yargle and Multani deck for it's versatility; I've even won games by using the Life side and Triumph of the Hordes for the final win ;p
I just got back into MTG this spring haven’t played since 07ish. Thalia and the Gitrog was the commander I picked… There’s so many good landfall cards coming out in these colors I can’t keep up😂 I’m thinking about getting Kodama of the East Tree to get those infinite bounce land triggers
Shifting woodland has been the MVP in my necrobloom list, esp for copying the gitrog monster or combo’n with aftermath analyst + squandered resources 👌🏻
This is the type of commander that you need to go against to understand why putting dredge 2 on each land is absolutely busted. Basically all Lands on your graveyard can come back and there are just way too many cards that synergize with this strat. I dont know what else to say aside from how great this commander is.
A fetchable land I really like in the Bloom is "Murmuring Bosk". It's very close to being a triome for the deck that's still fetchable (Only by Forest fetches, but those are the easiest), and if you have Six in your hand it enters untapped (:
I like the commander but not either build. The amonket cycle duels are left out when they can be the best two card combo in the deck. Cycle one to dredge another. Two card grave fill outlet. Also no flagstones of trokar. No zuran orb. Splendid reclamation effects are very powerful in this deck. I also think the deck should be 50+ lands minimum. The commander also benefits from a descend build more than most decks. Reusing flagstones of trokar with zuran orb can fetch all of the plains to the battlefield eventually.
A great combo with the Necrobloom is generic costed cycle lands (polluted mire, blasted waste etc.) with the Fluctuator. The Fluctuator reduces the cycle cost to 0 for these lands so you can cycle them for free. Since discarding the land is part of the cycling cost, the Necrobloom can dredge them right back to your hand immediately to replace the draw. Presto! You can mill your whole deck if you want to with that combo. Syr Konrad, Death Hound, or any other card that likes things going into your graveyard will end the game right there. Add an Eldrazi Titan and you won’t mill out.
Im tempted in building a necrobloom deck, is it really good or its mostly hype? Im looking for a good lands commander for a higher power casual pod. Isnt it a bit overhyped and kinda slow? Lands wise are there much stronger commanders? If so outside simic, which 2 or 3 would you reckon are the best?
I see you have buried alive in the high powered deck. What creatures do you mainly send to the grave? I also only see 1 reanimate spell so not sure if that card is worth. I can maybe swap it with a vamp tutor or diabolic.
Since you're already playing Scapeshift/Splendid Reclamation: Did your testing involve Ayara, First of Locthwain? I've got a Yarok build around her. Since both Field of the Dead AND Ayara are triggered by permanents entering, I get 4 Ayara triggers off of every single land. If Field of the Dead is already out, I can even go and find Vesuva instead to get 8 triggers per land. There's a version of Elesh Norn that pretty much does the same as Yarok, although with this deck, it would require finding 3 pieces instead of two. If you've got any thoughts on this, I'd love to know. Btw: The backdrop is fire, buuuut if that lamp in the top right was out of frame it might be even better :P It's a bit bright for my taste
I just noticed the Sylvan Library in your decklist and I didn't consider how good that would be. Since you would draw 3 times, you could replace that with dredging right? If you dredged 3 times instead of drawing you dont have to lose life for it, is that right?
instead of a wasteland/stripmine, you can include ghost quarter! You can destroy their premium lands but they get a basic land in return "for fairness"
Pretty different I would argue. Karametra is very focused on creature combo, whereas this deck list is really a lands matter/landfall synergy deck list.
I've played 2 games with mine - won both in the same way - Nature's Revolt & Drana and Linvala. I REALLY want to win via Grave Betrayal - Zuran Orb\Nature's Revolt & Grave Pact
I don't run Strip Mine in landfall decks because it's a bit mean, but Ghost Quarter is a perfect sub in for that spot. It can also target your own lands for more landfall cycling, which can occasionally be quite useful at instant speed.
Aftermath analyst is key!I had a 18 scute swarm and a necrobloom on the field when I sacrificed aftermath and brought in 10 lands with two being fetch lands. Ended up with 1400+ scute swarm that game!

Fine job on the backdrop Tempest, looking forward to watch your next videos !

I totally agree!

Thanks for watching. I have more MH3 coming soon!
@Tempest-Official could you explain why kodama of the east tree is included in high power? I don't see why it's so good vs other things
@canadaraid2110 if I'm not mistaken, kadama of the east tree says whenever a permanent enters which includes lands since they are permanents, and since it is a permanent with mana value 0, you can also put a land from your hand onto the battlefield as well. @@mikewhit2197 thank you
im a degenerate , building it with strip mine, wasteland, and glacial chasm
Luv u
Made mine last week, a good mix of landfall, dredge selfmill, reanimate and token swarm. Super versatile. I love it!
Have a list?
Just pulled Necrobloom. going to give this a try! thanks for sharing

Welcome back! I'll see you on the battlefield. :)
You could easily run Kodama of the east tree, a bounce land and iridescent vinelasher to nuke the table
First time seeing one of ypur vids, killing it! Subbed!
love this. Necrobloom is rowdy - im too addicted to trying to make astral slide work lol
4:38 Subconsciously I just want to Subscribe.
Glad to see confirmation in the comments hah
The subliminal message was Kinda of off putting to me. IMO
Bro I thought I was crazy. I'm high af right now 😂
Shifting woodland has been the MVP in my necrobloom list, esp for copying the gitrog monster or combo’n with aftermath analyst + squandered resources 👌🏻
I too have a couple kerosene lamps. Cool throwback touch.

Which creature cards do you put inside the graveyard when you play buried alive?

Nice video! Can you explain when you should be dredging and when you should be drawing?
Life (of life // death) goes so well with cosmic intervention and a sac outlet
Like the new background
Fierce Empath can help you get a lot of stuff for The Necrobloom. I have Underrealm Lich in my Muldrotha the Gravetide and it is NUTY
I see you have buried alive in the high powered deck. What creatures do you mainly send to the grave? I also only see 1 reanimate spell so not sure if that card is worth. I can maybe swap it with a vamp tutor or diabolic.

Would living death work in this deck? If so what would you replace it with?
It would for sure work! I would consider cutting Cruelty of Gix (if you are doing the budget version of the deck).
I love your They Live style of getting subs, worked on me😎😎
I just noticed the Sylvan Library in your decklist and I didn't consider how good that would be.
Since you would draw 3 times, you could replace that with dredging right? If you dredged 3 times instead of drawing you dont have to lose life for it, is that right?
This is correct. Since dredge replaces each draw, there is no life lost since you didn’t draw anything
Can you make a Horobi Decklist for budget and premium list beacuse i really need an update for Horobi death's wail
I already miss the framed H3 poster lol.
instead of a wasteland/stripmine, you can include ghost quarter! You can destroy their premium lands but they get a basic land in return "for fairness"
I've been really excited to make a Necrobloom deck specifically because of Dredge lol
I couldn't care less about the tokens TBH
LOOK AT THE DECKLIST 👀🌋🚨 There is so much more cool tech in here. Insidious Roots is ABSURD in this deck
The background change makes sense. Before it looked like you were taking a break from making Warhammer videos to talk about mtg lol.
Do u think this is better or worse than (your) karametra? I'm not implying they are similar commanders but, i mean, close enough gameplans?
Pretty different I would argue. Karametra is very focused on creature combo, whereas this deck list is really a lands matter/landfall synergy deck list.
I've played 2 games with mine - won both in the same way - Nature's Revolt & Drana and Linvala. I REALLY want to win via Grave Betrayal - Zuran Orb\Nature's Revolt & Grave Pact
The new Kambal goes hard in this deck, although not exactly on theme.

Agree with @tomdoetsch8603 below. This is high quality content without an ego. Keep em coming
