Ah Holmes Hobbies. My preferred powering brand since 2008-9! He’s like the vanquish of rc scalers, trailers, and crawlers.
I've had a 27T Torque Master Pro in my old school SCX10 Dingo forever. I've cleaned it, lathed it and replaced brushes. It's pulled both my sons across the floor when they were babies. Paired with a Mamba Max Pro and 3s, it's been unstoppable since 2012 or so.
If compares to crawl master magnum, which is is better for trx4 which weight 5kg with batteries? Which esc I should pair with? Thanks
We always used Schottky Diodes bitd. All the Pro series of motors are incredibly smooth; it's amazing the difference hand wound over machine wound makes.
I got an Axial Bomber with your 12t 550 Crawlmaster Sport. It already moves or upsets 10+lb rocks with ease in my rock crawling course. I can't imagine needing more power than it already has, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to HAVE more power.😁
Hey great video.. I have a question. I have a 16lbs TRX 4 k10 high trail tow truck.im going to swap out all my gears and go to the most torque I can get.both diffs and the spur and Pinion Gear. So when I order one of your motors which I will be doing.. do I get the torque master 21 or 27 turn? Or do I get your 12 turn crawl master. In one video you put up you said a low turn snappy motor in a high torque set up can provide ample torque. So which motor do you think I should go with? I have the stock reverse rotation 21 turn titan. I want the absolute most amount of torque possible.
Gears will be 9/45 pinion/ spur. And 10/35 in both diffs. Giving me 3.5:1.
Thanks for all your videos.i trust your products and I want the best one for my wrecker. Fast is not what I'm after. And I am staying with the brushed system.
Definitely interested. I've been running a 16turn Crawl Master with 11 tooth pinion (the smallest pinion to fit a Capra) paired with Hobbywing 1080 in an axial Capra kit build from the start, it was cost effective, crawls great but has plenty of wheel speed when I want. However, no matter how high I've set drag-brake, it will not hold, so the Torque Master's natural hold sounds great. I don't want to lose too much in wheel speed though. What do you recommend?
I get anxiety thinking about the day we can't get these motors anymore. I have 2 540s and 2 550s just waiting. Yep I'm buying two more now
Can you please do a video explaining what turn rating means and why it's called that?
great idea, I can do that!
You could do your own research.....There are many search engines that will explain turns of an electric motor.
@@scottyh72 yes true. But I'd much rather hear it from the top pro
@@brsrc759 My statement stands. Always best to use more than one source.
Hey John are you making more servos I've been wanting to get more servos from you those are the only servos I want to run is yours!!!
Yep, about 2 weeks out from launch!
@HolmesHobbies SWEEEEEEET!!! THANKS JOHN!!!!
I really want to get one of them.. the trx4 needs an upgrade !! Dumb question but how do I get to your catalog? Thank you for the efforts and time you put into this. And glad to see ya poppin again after the motor vehicle mishap...had me wondering for a bit! Keep up the good work brother
You have some really nice products but they are kind of hard to find in Northern Europe (Norway and Sweden).
I’ve always used crawl masters with my crawl master Magnum 11 turn being your magnum opus of brushed motors but this video made me wonder what a torque master magnum would be like have you ever considered one?
550 21t in the traxxas hauler, never had a power issue. It'll round the hex out of the wheel when it's loaded down without stalling haha.
finding the next weakest link! lol
The Torquemaster Pro 550 comes in 21T & 27T, and the 540 version comes in 27T, 30T, 35T, 40T and 45T. :D That's a lot of Turns! :D
I need a brushed rig to put one of these in. And Im not sure theyd fit in my WPL B24. :D
Hey guys a have a Cen f450 that I want to be able to pull some serious weight I want to build a dual motor setup what to do recommend
Video idea, is it still bad to keep magnets around electronics like these brushed motors or ESC’s like back in the day? Or are those days over and it’s totally safe and can even have magnets mounted near it in the devices.
Please update the website with all these details on the motor pages, so people don't have to ask!
Is the 550 more powerful than the magnum motors or are they the top of the bar for brushed power
I meant to ask, how many cell can the 550's handle? Any issue on 4s? 21t to be exact. Thanks!
I was wondering the exact same thing.
Keep making such a great product!
Where are all the servos? Web sites all out of the good stuff!
I need something for the traxxas summit none of these fit
Serious question: are the Torquemaster motors essentially an upgraded and rebuildable version of the Trailmaster? I ask because I'm loving my Trailmaster 21 turn 550 and would like an upgraded, rebuildable version down the line at some point.
@CajunManNick1980 yes! But if you are in muddy waterery stuff the torquemaster can wear faster and not the best choice
@@HolmesHobbies thanks for the clarification, I do NOT take my RCs through mud or muck of any kind, lol. The worst I'll do is slightly wet grass and dry sand or dirt.
A 550 low turn brushed drag motor would be a gem.
Would be cool to see you start making your own version of the hobbywing fusion!
I doubt he can even make a motor as weak as a Fusion. The slow speed control and power of this TorqueMaster isn't even comparable to a Fusion.
An explanation on motor timing would be nice. If you haven't done that one already. Cheers!
I am happy to do that
@@HolmesHobbies Thank you that would be great. Specifically I'm looking at "timing' from a crawling perspective. And I'm sure there are many variables. But either way thanks a bunch. And Yes, I just purchased a 540 Torque Master Pro. Its going in a Axial Honcho SCX10ii
Thank you for listening can you do a video on the magnums next looking for a motor for my vs410 pro bronco build
Kinda wanna try a custom lightweight one for drift application
I run one in my fcx10 fantastic motor love the power its got on 3s
What would you pair with the new h10 optic vanquish 1060 esc for its intended driving use John? 3s power. I like to crawl and bumble around when possible with the same car.
8t crawlmaster would probably be a fun motor!
Nice 👍🏾
