Im sure that sheep was calling Ben,Ben, Ben. 😂 When you next go through a long tunnel and you see the light of another boat, beep your horn, so they know ýour there, cos i think that guy didn't even look and prob was in the middle instead of the side. Great vlog❤

What a video!!! Nasty boater, things on the floor, hole in your cover, and beer!!! I read many of your comments but didn’t see a bad one (the spam thing). I have always liked the three of you and it looks like lots of other people like y’all as well. Can’t believe how many coffees y’all get, 🤣. Thank you 🙏 for sharing this video with us!
I'm so sorry you got bashed by that bigger boat and even more so that they didn't have the decency to apologise to you and check if you were all ok! Humans are often so disappointing. Take care all of you. Really enjoy you're adventures.
Hi. I’m jeremy. From pittsburgh PA. I found your channel last week and my birthday is Wednesday. Finding your channel was like a b day gift from the universe. Thank y’all for your videos and sharing your life. Your narrow boat is so cool! The coolest.
Yep.. the Grapefruit Kamikaze was amazing. Had it at that festival in Lincolnshire. It was beyond ale, ale from another dimension. I think at the time I could only say Gharrrgch ! Papa Bell xx

Sorry you got a knock to the boat but thank god your ll safe love your channel your always busy love to Alan I told my teen grandkids the story of Alan thy are all fans of The late Alan Rickman xx❤
Great video guys, love to watch your journey. We tried narrowboating a few weeks ago and what an adventure it was. It's a completely different world, we love it! Atm were travelling in our boat car trying to find the sparkle that life has to offer, and we were definitely smitten by our adventure on the canal. Have fun, new followers here ❤
After watching many of these narrow boat channels. The amount of times I've seen boaters, going up top to tell others slow down!!! cos the boat rocks and some things fall. That's just boats passing by. For these idiots to hit you when they are going a tidy speed and not apologise 😡 is disgusting. I bet there's people thinking but it's only a boat 🙄 this happens all the time, can't get away from it if it's a genuine mistake. But it's not only a boat it's your home and lively hood. Hope someone brings this up or they see it and then come and apologise to you (still to late all the same) I suppose the way you guys are so chilled out and laid back is a good thing really. Love your channels ❤❤❤
Just found you two on you tube ADDICTED now... so much respect to you both for the hard work and fun you have living free keep on cruising❤ and alan❤❤❤❤❤ my cat could learn a thing or two! Xx
We got rammed by a hire boat in Braunston Tunnel. Boat being driven by a small child! We lost so much stuff it was insane. Boating c.1986 and I can still recall the crunch!
It’s so relaxing in these trying times to tune into your channel and watch your lives and loving relationship and Alan. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us and I want to add I think Ben’s music is the perfect compliment to the video. I like it a lot.
Awe, that little dog spent 20 mins pulling our ropes to help us moor up. He lived on the boat right behind you and we think he was called Finlay. Doing the Leicester ring? You’re definitely following us! You’ll love the trip up via Leicester especially Foxton locks. It’s worth a detour to Market Harborough.
2 pac, consists of the coating, which does not set. So needs a hardening medium, both are mixed together before application. Hence 2 pac. Knowledge gained, thank to my daugher, who amongst her hobbies 😮 is in to resin molding 😊 (you'd think we were millionares 😂)
That boat should have waited for you to come out, you were nearly there anyway. Some people are so arrogant. they will get theirs some time. Another great vlog by the three of you.
Ooooft it didn’t look that bad at first but when you showed how much things fell, that must’ve been a big bang! Glad all was okay 😮💨 some of the tunnels don’t feel 2 way when you’re in them do they 😂 Looking forward to seeing the blacking & your trip down south! ❤
15:32. We visited Crick this year. Had a very enjoyable day. Went to the boat house, as in this vlog, that evening for an evening meal. The garden was beautiful but tables were a mess. We entered the pub which appeared virtually empty to be told there was an hours wait for food. We said that was fine as we were not in a hurry. Only to be told ‘they were not taking anymore orders that evening. So apparently - location location location isn’t the be all and end all!!!!! Isn’t Braunston lovely. Had brekkie next day at the nb cafe at Braunston all very nice.
So unlucky folks ... people are right that's insurance worthy. If not I'm sure it could be repaired to a good standard. Really enjoyed the topics covered and although I'm not a beer drinker I do love the process being that one of my best friends is a master brewer!
Uhh, two pack ,in England, is two part marine epoxy paint. Very hard and durable so lasts a long time. Many narrowboaters think cruising is a contact sport!
Glad the boat survived the nasty bump, another great watch, love the weekly updates, can't wait to see how the blacking goes, have a lovely week, much love to you both and Alan, Kay, Dave and Bubba x 💓
Be careful at Redhill we had trouble there. The blacking washed off (with the rain) my son ended up redoing it. The sandblasting is great. Watch your backs, a lot of weird things go on there. Take care 😘😘😘

I recently stayed on my friends boat and we traveled the kennet and Avon ❤it’s beautiful and I recommended The barge inn pub for some yummy food and drink 😊
I'm living vicariously through you this morning. We did the Leicester arm a couple of years ago. That water point at Braunston is the worst easy to miss and so busy!!! We always sing in tunnels!!! Just a little gentle week on the Mon and Brec for us this year due to health issues but hope to be back out on the main network next year. So will enjoy your vids to get my fix. Thank you xxx
Absolutely loving all your videos. Really informative and honest. Such a great couple too. Benny's music is absolutely stunningly beautiful. I have to get my hands on the album. I'm glad you previously explained how Alan was named as it confused me for ages 😃
I let that boat pass me that hit you in the tunnel as he sat on my stern for so long before we got to the tunnel. He then went through so slowly that I had to keep reversing to avoid hitting him- I was in tickover! He kept shouting at me but I couldn’t go any slower and there were boats behind me too! I was the boat who said you’d left your light on. I didn’t realise he’d hit you!
Your adventures are the most entertaining travel log I've ever seen. I've kayaked and canoed so many kinds of rivers, camped and hiked from coast to swamps to mountains. All of it was so hard, perilous, challenging and the food, accommodations were minimal with bugs, weather, floods, broken bones, cut and abrasions days from help. I've loved surviving it all but what you guys do is so peaceful and a _constant_ journey....a way of life. My adventures were measured in days and weeks. What you have there is beautiful and so peaceful for a water lover like me. Cherish it. Thanks for sharing it all with us! ❤
I love how much you get out of life! Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement you give me. Still loving Benny's music. I love Alan too. Are you near Coventry?
😍 Thanks so much for watching! So glad to hear our vlogs inspire you 🌟 we did pass Coventry but our videos are a month different in time so we're actually quite far now! 😊
I'm guessing by now you know what 2 pac is. I've seen others do that, and it refers toa two-part epoxy. The look you gave Benny when he said he'd done that was priceless! I really like watching your adventures! Best of fortune and happiness!
O boy have you brought back memories. When I was 18 I started making homebrew. I used to get a 4 gallon empty sherry cask from the local offlicence, I'd brew 8 gallons and puit half in the sherry cask and half in flagon bottels. Each day I would bleed of some of the gas, but one day I forgot, the folowing morning my fathr said to me "I dont know what was going on in the shed this morning, there was an awful sound of breaking glass coming from there. I went out to the shed and found bear all over the flore with broiken glass every where, some of which was sticking in the wooden leg's of the bench and the plastic sherry cask had burst out of its carboard box and was jamed under the bench. I spent a very nearvous half hour letting the gas out of the bottles that had survived and of course, the tap on the sherry cask was tight up against the under side of the bench top. OOooo Boy.
Seeing you brewing beer just reminded me of when we brewed ours at Her Majerstys Hotel Chelmsford only ours was brewed a little diffrent and we couldnt use stove for heat we used the big heating pipes that ran through our "Room" so took bit longer but still done what it was ment to do at the end 😂😂
We are currently on the K and A this canal is not for the faint hearted as there is limited amount of moorings as i have never seen as many moored boats in twenty years of boating and shopping without a car is a problem. (We have done a lot of canals and rivers during this time) Also the moored boats do not move if it says 2/3 days on moorings they are just ignored and stay for as long as they want and CRT DON'T BOTHER! We have been to Bristol Harbour that was brilliant and the harbour masters are great and very welcoming, well worth a trip. We are currently stuck as lock 52 as had issues , they had to send the gate away which has taken nearly five weeks to mend. Steve hates getting the alert's from CRT as we are waiting for the next challenges we face when something else breaks. Watch this space it should be open on 5/7. Don't let us put you off but just be mindful if you want to get back for the winter. The major of the boaters are very nice and always willing to help you. Steve Obsession we met you on the South Oxford around may we moored in front of you and i spoke to Benny about the gold licence . Good Luck you will need it for the K/A
I love the way your plans change: I’m quite jealous. I’ve bought my first boat. She’s on the K&A close to the bottom of Caen Hill flight. I should be at the helm in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully I bump into some day. Two pack. Is an epoxy resin that comes in ‘2 packs’ when you mix them together it’s applied to the surface. The epoxy then dries hard and firm. See you soon V glad your not selling up
Happy to see you doing all the important stuff your boat needs, to keep it going down the canals! ....BEER! 😍 Buy a roll of Gorilla Tape. You can patch that tear in your cover from inside. (It's black) It's very strong tape, and the patch will last for years. Best gaffer tape there is. Never dries out like duct tape, and is 10x stronger.
I really like how you make the sponsor section entertaining. Whatever future sponsors you have please make it fun and relivent. Sponsored content can get really annoying fast and I don't want to see my favourite TH-cam channel getting annoying...... Or just more video of Alan will make up for it. 😂 Thanks for your video.
Another fabulous, interesting and very varied vlog. That was really bad of that boat to bang into you and not even apologise to you! I’m looking forward to following your journey to my local area, Redhill Marina, you never know I might see you around, I’d love that! Take care you 3. X
Excited for the big detour. A friend of mine had a boat stationed at Sileby Mill boatyard. Used to have some wonderful times on the river Soar. Try and get a picture of the boatyard entrance as you pass. I now live in pacific northwest of the US so these vlogs bring back good memories for me. Thanks, James.
Hi Ben & Emily yet another great vlog. If you're considering getting your cratch cover repaired floating traders 'Star Crafts embroidery' did a fabulous repair to ours when a rat decided to nibble it! I've also heard good reports about repairs to cratch & pram hoods, at reasonable prices, by Corby Covers ltd.
My goodness that was a big bang wallop to your precious boat 😳😢thank goodness Alan and you both are alright 🥰 just typical that boat owner didn’t apologise sheer stupidity & arrogance . Good job you had it on video. Great vlog guys, 🥰👏🏾can’t wait to see the end result of Bens beer 🍺🤭
Yeah it didn't really come across in the video but it was a massive smash! Ah well! They didn't even acknowledge it haha! The beer is doing well thanks 🤤
Love the boat as it's so cheerful and bright. I have always thought so! I had admired the shelf ,and I hated to see it go, but the new is also, beautiful and unique!
My hats off to you Benny. I home brewed for many years, 5 gallon batches using dried malts and partial grain, to do a full grain brew with lauter tuns and sparging in a small space like that …….!! I did love a good bitter and a brown ale, with a Porter or Stout on occasion. IPA’s are all the rage now.
Hi Ben and Emily. Shame about the boat strike. They really made a rip in your cratch cover. Hopefully you can get it repaired. Hope the beer turned out well. Take care. Nick
Nice one guys. New shelf looked great, good effort, power pack seemed to work well.. Seems like Alan is spoilt as to who's lap to lie on... nice kind of problem yo have I guess. Let us know how the brew turned out.
Oh well, never mind. I was hoping you would be calling in at Banbury soon, I’d of come down to say hello. Just remembered you really wanted to visit Cropedy and should still do so. I imagine it’s for the festival. 10th aug 2023.
"Unquafable" is the word you were looking for not made a proper grain mash brew yet more wines and meads but maybe later this year I'll have a go at a proper mash
Regarding the boat strike you had, I’m afraid some the old working type boats that have been converted are owned by arrogant people who think nothing of hitting private Narrowboats and indeed passing moored boats without slowing down, it’s happened to me several times over the years, it’s just plain ignorant arrogance 🤷🏻♂️
Sorry your boat got hit. I wish there was some kind of action you could take. To seek compensation for that. In the US that would have been illegal to flee after damaging a boat n such a way. Such a shame. Glad it wasn’t too bad.
Im sure that sheep was calling Ben,Ben, Ben. 😂
When you next go through a long tunnel and you see the light of another boat, beep your horn, so they know ýour there, cos i think that guy didn't even look and prob was in the middle instead of the side.

You could iron a small patch on ur cratch cover to keep it from getting bigger. Hate that happened!

Name and shame. I think I know who it was as I have come across him as well around these parts.
They need to change lifestyle maybe
Since CRT have responsibility for licencing them, so are partly responsible, wondering if they take action ?

I really like how you make the sponsor section entertaining. Whatever future sponsors you have please make it fun and relivent. Sponsored content can get really annoying fast and I don't want to see my favourite TH-cam channel getting annoying...... Or just more video of Alan will make up for it. 😂 Thanks for your video.
You three chill me out , take care all , cuddles to Alan.
Great video yet again guys, thank you ❤
Another fabulous, interesting and very varied vlog. That was really bad of that boat to bang into you and not even apologise to you! I’m looking forward to following your journey to my local area, Redhill Marina, you never know I might see you around, I’d love that! Take care you 3. X
Wonderful episode. Well done. Sorry about the crash. Mean guys.... And the music is good Benny....
Ben. I see a pocket door in your future. ❤
So here goes Happy Christmas
I Hope you always check Allan on board before leaving somewhere
Moored overnight at and had breakfast in The Boatyard - 37 years ago!
Always a pleasure! Thanks
Quick-witted and too funny! Thanks
+1 Van subby man, always a good turn is repaid in kind
Awww awful you got bumped some people have no respect. Good luck with your new plans luv to you all three tc the oldies 👋🤗🤗🤗👍
Wow sorry you got hit in the tunnel. Hope you are ok. Beer looks good 😊nice video 😊thank you
Omg that curry looks so good...your food always looks amazing 😊😋
Just love the 3 of you ❤️ Benny your music is amazing big time❤
My goodness that was a big bang wallop to your precious boat 😳😢thank goodness Alan and you both are alright 🥰 just typical that boat owner didn’t apologise sheer stupidity & arrogance .
Take care. Nick
All those locks. By the time you get to Caen Hill. That should be a walk in the park. 😂😂
So true! 😄
Love you guys…. Suggestion do a competition to w a day/ hour with you guys on the boat, lots would enter
❤
Benny your brewing skills ain't to shabby keep us posted 🍻
Nice one guys. New shelf looked great, good effort, power pack seemed to work well.. Seems like Alan is spoilt as to who's lap to lie on... nice kind of problem yo have I guess. Let us know how the brew turned out.
Another top video love from Chicago
Oh well, never mind. I was hoping you would be calling in at Banbury soon, I’d of come down to say hello.
Just remembered you really wanted to visit Cropedy and should still do so. I imagine it’s for the festival. 10th aug 2023.
Always enjoy your videos thank you both and Alan ofc
2 pack is essentially epoxy. It's a resin and a hardener that is mixed and chemically cures rather than dry like paint. Much more resilient
"Unquafable" is the word you were looking for not made a proper grain mash brew yet more wines and meads but maybe later this year I'll have a go at a proper mash
Benny name it " hop mountain" 🤗 great video guys thank you.
😕 It was a shame it happened! Sorry to hear of your troubles!
It's a worldwide problem. Peace.
he didnt even wait , ben and emily were mere meters away from exiting the tunnel
Sorry your boat got hit. I wish there was some kind of action you could take. To seek compensation for that. In the US that would have been illegal to flee after damaging a boat n such a way. Such a shame. Glad it wasn’t too bad.
@@brain8484 It seemed strange for the other boat not to wait a minute - almost as if it was a deliberate collision.
