I almost didn’t watch this because I was like omg 30 min of someone talking about a train ride and had to eat my words with how perfectly pleasant quiet this video is
if I need to take a shower, getting junk food from the machine will not help. Not even getting the excellent green tea instead of the godawful, unhealthy, empty calorie Coca Cola.
Fabulous video… no annoying music, no constant talking… just natural sounds. This truly was one of the most beautiful and relaxing videos I have watched lately! Thank you…. And those views were amazing!🤩
Americans wouldn't understand it. They'd be talking at the tops of the voices, playing music aloud, and demanding that everyone else respect their right to be annoying.

I watched your trip today. I was feeling anxious, just a feeling I was having no reason for it. I felt very calm and relaxed after watching your video. Imagine, you reached someone thousands of miles away to improve their day! Thank you for sharing.
Absolutely perfect for an introvert. That is why I love visiting my son. He has lived in Japan for 18 years. The scenery was so beautifully. Thank you for sharing your journey. 😊🇦🇺
@maureenackerley8024 I love your type of introvert-the ones who tell everyone, happily advertise how introverted they are, and don't understand irony. HAHAHA! All joking aside, in my country introverts are perceived as private and reserved, I'm guessing you're an American introvert.
If you've ridden Amtrak sleepers, one thing you can really appreciate is that this train isn't honking all night going through one grade crossing after another. On the East coast American sleeper trains really honk all night.
@greeneggslamb9336 I read it said somewhere at the beginning, a little over €100 That's really cheap compared to a 2 ,1/2 hour train ride to my sisters in the uk that costs up £70, plus. And, the ticket conditions in the uk, state that you are not purchasing a seat, you are purchasing the ride wether that be in a seat, bike rack or on the floor. Finally, uk trains are filthy too, and the operators are always on strike, so never on time.
What a lovely trip, very relaxing. Japanese culture is so neat, clean and orderly. Thank you Kuga for taking me along for this beautiful journey. Your videography is very professional and presents an objective look into a delightful means of travel.
Been watching your channel for a few years now...not sure how you afford all these trips but am so glad you do. You have a great way of showing the location, and mode of transport...aka trains, in such a calm yet interesting way!🤘
A similar thought crossed my mind, about the means to travel often and comfortably--- but then I stifled it because I knew that it was envy rearing its petty little head. :) Someone else might say "Must be nice ..." and I think I ought to say "Glad the experience is being shared".
The way you let the situations and views speak for itself paired with the calm yet sometimes funny insights and explanations makes me feel cozy and warm and like I'm a traveling companion of yours. thanks and keep on going!

We need sleeper trains in general in Germany. I mean we have ones going out of the country but I'd like to travel from one side of the country to another and be able to rest, that would be wonderful.
I lived in Korea for thirty years... always loved going to the mountains for hiking and bathing in the hot springs. I was fortunate enough to travel to Japan a couple of times, and always visited the hot springs there as well. Your video gives me nostalgic memories about my own adventures! Definitely looked like you had a great trip... I'm envious!

I love your videos. I got a nice little chuckle when you said the train was not going to be stopping in Osaka and that "We all wish it did, but reality is sometines harsh". I will be telling people this from now on when they are disappointed. :)

A WONDERFUL trip! What a beautiful video, makes me very nostalgic. My boyfriend was a japanese speaker and loved japanese culture even more than me, and we had big plans of traveling to Japan, ride trains and enjoy real japanese food.
This is a fun video. Thank you for posting it. If I can point out a small error in the English translation, you said “can withdraw their defeat on the vending machine.” It made me chuckle when I realized the translation should have been “take out their defeat.” “Take out” does sometimes mean “withdraw,” like when you take out cash from an ATM machine. Here, though, it means to treat someone or something badly to feel better about something negative that happened to you. Like “he took out his anger at losing his job on his pillow by punching it until all the feathers came out.” It’s a small error, and made me smile. Sorry if it’s already been said in the comments. Thank you again!

Thanks, Kuga! This train trip was lovely. Wintery travel videos are my favorite right now.
