I remember watching this with my brother, I said crusaders he said reds, we were both nz boys and had a PNG mom I went to school in NZ he went to school in QLD. Even though I lost what a great match!!!
Worth noting: This was the year of the Christchurch earthquakes, where apart from the the obvious distractions, every game of the competition was effectively a 'away game' for the Saders, including the Semifinal (Cape Town) and the final (Brisvegas).
And what about the historical 2011 floods in qld.....both sides faces immense challenges that year... The Quade and Genia show was just too good for salty Thorn

Even though I’m a Reds supporter and lived most of my life in Brissy, you have to admit that a 18-13 scoreline , given the Crusaders travel schedule and training restrictions…was an amazing comeback from that team.
So in Australia, how long do you get to hold onto the ball in the ruck? Just askin 'cause it ain't what I've seen anywhere else. Fun to watch to old style scrum calls. Thanks rugby.au for posting these - something to watch during pandemic.
Will Genia is still my favorite half back of this decade. Strong man with exceptional pass and nimble movements around the ruck.
From an entertainment perspective, this was one of the great finals of Super Rugby.
