Richie is the real G.O.A.T. Dan is a very close Second. But Jonah could be S Tier beyond all if looking at a prime athlete. Jonah did turn down the Cowboys contract.
Comical that you didn’t show a single tackle. Carter was masterful at bringing down the ball carrier without trying to tear his head off with a forearm or shoulder. His tackles were below the waist, dropping the man cleanly, and allowing jackals to get over the ball. That was one of the secrets of the AB defence, enabling Collins or McCaw to steal possession.
I think is for sure top 3 ever, maybe Lomu changed rugby worldwide should be first. But if we talk about nymbers and imact in the games, he's first, by miles.
From a South African perspective, that man annihilated us, numerous times. I'm not a fan of GOAT conversations in rugby, but he is the most destructive backline player I've ever seen
Amazing that a tiny country of 5 million people can produce an all-timer athlete like this. Best in the history of the game, and has an argument to be amongst the best in sporting history
Dan Carter is the goat. Every game he plays, I’ve always had confidence the ABs will win. It doesn’t always happen, but that is a very FEW “doesn’t always happen” lol
He is the best first 5/8 ive ever seen, jonny wasnt bad either, but Barry John came to New Zealand a graveyard for backs, and left with sobriquet of " the King " thats special
Carter was very well balanced, he'd score a minimum of 89 in every stat while scoring 93 in a few with his kicking being 97-99 absolutely complete package.
Jonah was my favourite All Black until Culley came along and knocked him off my top spot. Then DC surpassed both to rein as my best All Black ever. DC is my goat then Culley and Jonah rounds out my top three ⛳
@@seansmith9435Richie's defensive efforts, ruck plays, all those 1% plays on and off the ball led to those try assists and goal kicks you're talking about. For Dan to shine, someone had to do the dirty work
Jonny did not have the consistant nucleus of Int' players, the likes of the English 2003 squad, all the time, nor did he play for the Crusaders at 'Super' and so he could never play consistantly at DC's level on attack: Practice on attack makes master and apart from 2003, the ABs were the "Masters", then. But as for drop-kicks? He kicked plenty. As a defender he was better than DC, imo. Jonny would try to tackle the very Devil for the craic. He was contemptuous of hurt and took serious poundings regularly. He also Captained Toulon, in their pomp; some helluva accolade there. But DC is the ☝ 10 ever, at this point in history. Duw ev re sewenal😊👍 btw, I'm not English, so non 'brand-bias'.
Dan Carter isn't even the best All Blacks fly half. Cut it out with the GOAT talk. His highlights compared to other first fives is extremely meh. Great humble dude tho
A true legend of the game no doubt but most of his finest performances were against lesser opposition. How would he have fared in high tension, high pressure games like Jonny Wilkinson in RWC Final in 2003 or Handre Pollard in three consecutive world cup knock out games as we saw in RWC 2023? Just some food for thought. But definitely DC is up there among the greatest.
What are you smoking? 2015 world cup final, shredded the lions, dominated the boks and the wallabies. I mean it's fair to say everyone was lesser, but that's cause at his best - he made everyone lesser. All time test point scorer while playing the tri nations during a period when only All blacks and Springboks one won world cups and other teams couldn't routinely beat any of the Tri nations teams.
Lol, Pollard isn't even in the same league as DC, takes more than kicking goals to be considered the Goat, if it wasn't for the great Springbok forward pack he's played behind he wouldn't have had so many shots at goal, look at his poor club performances for example
You really have no idea, Highest test points scorer, EVER. Destroyed the Lions in the 2005 2nd test in Wellington, Kicked the winning penalty in multiple games, Played the 2015 Final and controlled the end game with tactical skill. If you knew your rugby, you would know he played in more clutch games against top tier nations. After 2007 he learnt and became a force in the 10 jersey. Another Bok fan I'm guessing having to take over another countries feed, again.
Well, is he? 🐐
Perfect 10

Yes, no debate needed.
100%
ABsolutely the greatest 10 of all time.

He was a physical freak, very strong and very good at using it.
The only thing the rugby world agrees on yes Dan is the goat.
Here in NZ, Richie is the goat
@@Mysterx1440 speak for yourself bro, DC hard

One thing that so many people forget was how fast Carter was. So many times he looked well covered and they just never ended up catching him.
Greatest 10, greatest kicker and greatest back but has to share goat with Richie.
Goat 10, not player
I think is for sure top 3 ever, maybe Lomu changed rugby worldwide should be first. But if we talk about nymbers and imact in the games, he's first, by miles.
The most complete 10 I have ever seen. Period.
Dan Carter total legend always made rugby look so easy the way he played he was a total master at 10 what player and gentleman 🏉 from Wales 🏴
Yes 🐐 best of the best
All your points are well taken. I stand corrected✌👍
Hands down the greatest.
From a South African perspective, that man annihilated us, numerous times.

like Slater in surfing. unmatched. amazing!
Missed his last test conversion boys. Off his right foot!
No he didn't he nailed it off his right foot 2015 v Australia rwc final
@@joedennehy386 I meant the video missed including his last conversion 😁
Without a doubt he is!!! Let's not forget his boomerang conversion!!!!!
Rien à rajouter... Phénoménal 💪😉👍
Dan and Jonny is by far the best fly halves I’ve seen
IMO he's the GOAT!!!

Bloody legend could kick a ball pretty good too 👍
Once in a Generation
Dan Carter GOAT
He was playing chess when everyone else was playing checkers and on top of that he had the skills of every piece on the board.
Nah, he was playing chess when everyone else was playing candy crush!
Best AB's no. 10 💪

If Carter is not, then no one else can lay a claim. Lomu is our R9, but this man is like Pele. He stands alone .
Yes. 🐐
Yup. Dan Carter, Jonah Lomu, Richie McCaw.
Of course DC is the GOAT... 🐐🐐🐐
As an old Cornishman? Dhe wirl; en tei👍🏴☠
Probably BUT you have to slot McCaw right beside him if not in front. Cut from different cloths, the likes we won't see again for 20-30 years.
I think Dan was able to shine because of Richie's efforts

Yes
He is definitely the goat at first five position and Richie McCaw is the goat number 7 and Jonah Lomu is the goat winger
There is no doubt.
It’s hard to argue against it. Maybe Richie mccaw could rival his goat status
GOAT of the fly-half position yes....but Richard McCaw is the ultimate GOAT.
If Cooper was good he would have been playing for the ABs
Technically, Johnny is better. But Carter has that smoothness that puts him that 5% above and its not much more than JW but its enough
Jerry Collins!!!
Probably
There is only one GOAT
Richie Mccaw
THE GREATEST
Nah Dc is the real goat
