The entire story of Obi-Wan Kenobi from Legends; starting from his early training as a Jedi Youngling until his very last moments as a Force Ghost years after Return of the Jedi.
As a note: Video contains parts from The Clone Wars up to Season 5, as before Disney’s acquisition of Star Wars, TCW was being tied into EU material being published at that time. Seasons 6 and beyond of TCW were not, which is why they were not included in the video.

i wouldnt had included TCW because it contradicts much EU material and is in disney canon anyway
@@laisphinto6372 The fact that it is in dosney canon doesn't mean it isn't in Legends. In fact it is, unfortunately to dome, fortunately to others. It was made when Legends was the only canon and had the right to oberwright whatever the creators wished. It's really unfortunate but that is the case. Heorge Lucas made this show, so it is T-canon (not cpunting last season) - above C canon which is the rest of EU.
Actually, season 6 is also part of Legends given that it was realised before 25.04.2014 - the day when new canon started. So you should have included it if you wanted to tie in TCW at all. Anything made before that date can be considered Legends, including the Son of Dathomir comic book from dark horse (which is also part of the new canon).

I heard that the last time Obi-wan spoke to Luke in Legends, he was wishing him goodbye after he named his newborn son after him: Ben Skywalker.

The scene is from the begining of the thrawn books, luke was doubting that he could continue on without obi-wans advice as the last jedi to which obi-wan replied that he is not the last of the old but, the first of the new.

Ah yes... I am going down memory lane being reminded of the intricate lore of the books and video games I enjoyed in my childhood... Man do I miss this timeline. It's canon to me.

Honestly, I highly prefer Siri over Satine as Obi-Wan's love interest. While Obi-Wan only met Satine a few times in their childhood, he and Siri practically shared their lives for twenty years, making her death really devastating. The fact Obi-Wan lost the two loves of his life in the same war without turning to the dark side makes him a far more respectfull character.
While she doesn’t have much character, Taria Damsin was another one of obi wan’s love interests who died in the war
I'm more pissed that they've erased Mara Jade and that Luke has been reduced into a hermit forever.

This is a really great lore video, I Like The Complete Life story's of are best characters in the Star Wars world. I fined it very interesting to listen to. Hope that more Life Story's might happen soon.
The only things I really think disney did better by changing are the way Yaddle dies (Dooku killing her) and the more minor thing of that jedi make their lightsabers as younglings and then some change it during apprenticeship.

A long, hard, and blessed life, Obi-Wan Kenobi's. A surprisingly rare kind of experience even for other great Jedi.
However, the inclusion of TCW 2008 bugs me still, even if the show is still great (just only in the lens of Disney Canon/Alt-universe standards). Also, some name mangling, but I can take that into stride easily.
Well, in the old canon, George Lucas or his minions' stuff were always independant from Expanded Universe and always took precedence. So the parts of TCW that he included here are part of Legends continuity, even if they contradict some previous stuff.
Doesn't mean i lke it though, they changed too much they didn't have to, like Darth Maul's backstory or General Griveous. Ashoka was a cool change though.
As much as I love TCW, it contradicts the entire Clone Wars era in the EU/Legends including Post-ROTJ to a degree. I mean really TCW really fucked the consistency of the EU/Legends lore and continuity. Seriously Filoni seems to not give a shit about continuity as he seems to ignore what not to do by the lore keeper to avoid continuity errors. He is also more or less doing this in the current Disney Canon with TCW season 7 contradicting the Ashoka novel in the final episodes and the Bad Batch contradicting the Kanan Jarrus comics. Let's not forget inhibitor chips and the base run on the mill Clones themselves in TCW contradicting AOTC.
@@pkdeathrow3142 It's bothering that they conteadicted the EU even when they didn't really have to, they could have make it work yet refused to do so. I liked Ahsoka and Darth Maul comming back, however the rest was changed totally unnecessary.
@@emzonik8851 Which is why I want the EU/Legends to be brought back and continue were it left off while still keeping the Disney Canon running for those who are fans of it. If that ends up happening, I feel like the first thing they need to do is remove TCW from EU/Legends and be replaced by a re-written version of TCW that'll fit the EU/Legends without it contradicting anything from the Clone Wars Multimedia Project. This makes me question why Disney didn't decide to maintain two continuities at once, I mean Marvel did it when they introduced the Ultimate Universe.

Part of me wishes they contextualized his story better to show why he was struggling so much at the starting point of this new series. There’s so much from his awesome story to be told from canon that it would lend beautifully to the complexities of the character and his relationship with the other important characters. Arguably the most important Jedi in all of Star Wars.

Obi Wan's home planet Stu-Jon was named after Jon Stewart. George Lucas came up with it on the fly during an appearance on his show and it became canon.
Obiwan is really one of the greatest characters of all time in the end he found peace after a life time of failures
My headcannon uses both timelines, therefore both of Obi-Wan's life histories.

For future reference: The word Corps is a french word with the same root as the English word corpse, but when it made its way into English in the 16th century it retained its french pronunciation. It is pronounced 'kor' like the English word core. Good video though and thanks for the content.

It is canon to the old canon. Legends is a functional continuity.
Great Recap that includes the legend parts of Kenobi. Have seen the first 2 episodes of the Kenobi series and I have nothing against it, i think it expands the universe even more.

Idk bro legends were kind of cool but people just seem to consider it all “good” now when it’s honestly not. There were so many different writers and books and comics canon has been a mess forever, and then there’s like stuff in here that works for a standalone story but is kinda ridiculous when you think about it. Like qui gon already had an apprentice who fell to the dark side? Really? It seems like in legends people fell to the dark side literally left and right, when it was heavily implied in the actual movies that it was a huge deal dooku did or that there were any dark side users around at all. I never considered the EU very canon tbh. There’s great stuff in there but at the end of the day this is a film series that already has a hard enough time with canon and consistency in its own films, and while the EU (legends now) was a ton of fun (especially as a kid) people are looking at it through rose tinted glasses

Obi Wan encountering Darth Vader on the Death Star was not the first time they met since Mustafar, they had 2 other encounters beforehand as seen in the “Kenobi” series.

The only complaint I have about this video is the pronunciation of the planet names.
Obi Wan should have finished Anakin on Mustafar and with that he would have avoided the death of hundreds of beings, especially Jedis. But he let his emotions consume him. But he was, together with Yoda, one of the most powerful Jedi of the entire order. And so much so that defeated Darth Vader twice

No, this actually was their 1'st meeting since Mustafar in Legends. Legends doesn't include the disney stuff, only George Lucas's movies, TCW uo to season 6 and the Expanded Universe. The canon was changed in 2014.
Can't wait for the update since the Disney series.
This is the old canon, the series is soley new canon, so there won't be an update, perhaps simply a video about the new canon version.

The MMP, known as the TCWMMP by another name. Meaning "The Clone Wars Multi Media Project" all 'n all, was essentially a massive star wars expanded universe project that basically expanded upon the Clone Wars through the means of comics, books and even now classical video games like BF2, Republic Commando and the like. With these some new characters were created, like Durge & Asajj Ventress. It was quite interwoven in terms of continuity and timeline, where alot of the project's continuity would be in shambles with the clone wars 2008 included, (which was introduced as a legends killer at that). Along with this was 2003 Star Wars the Clone Wars, which had some larger moments like Anakin being knighted 2 years into the war (as opposed to 2008's two months after Geonosis). And as the 2008 series was actually meant to be a continuation originally, even adopted it's 2D style into 3D.
Some of the pronunciations in this video are nuts. Especially when we’ve heard them spoken aloud prior.
